Hmm ... yes perhaps a different "open world" scenario for each of the factions, in a different period of time (right before that nation's rise to power) If we are stuck with one faction for all the scenarios though ... (or have at least one 'progressive campaign' that does multiple scenarios with one faction) then I still prefer my own idea (a few posts back).

I wonder how many of that's sites members are legit ... maybe it was abandoned some time ago, and since then its been steadily taken over by the creep of spam bots?
what is this about resource allocation? So we build the Lord's Manor in a city with absolutely no grain or materials ... and improve its grain and materials by stealing such things from other cities?
I always loved Campaigns in RTS games. I'd go as far to say that in RTS I prefer the campaign while in TBS I usually prefer the sandbox. But then again, I don't think I've seen a real campaign in a BTS before, I think the closest thing to come was in a mod- the Fall From Heaven scenarios. I think most TBS campaigns (including Gal Civ) was like "here you go, an extra part of the story has been revealed, an extra weapon is unlocked, and here we have to take over the
Personally I think the Capitar would fit into Lawful Neutral... but then again I also think Tarth would be Chaotic Neutral.
I like this (less productive when mining iron) idea. Perhaps more expensive forms of exotic plate (and more rare due to a lack of metal). But I agree that the specialty should be in mid game leathers and hides. (with rune/tatoo magic)
Here's hoping they figure out a way to let us play TBS MP while we sleep.
turn based strategy multiplayer? I'm not sure what you are getting at :p
If I had to assign alignments however.... LG= Gilden, NG= Pariden, CG= Altar LN= Capitar, NN= Umber, CN= Tarth LE= Magnar+Kraxis, NE= Yithril, CE= Resolyn reasoning Resolyn-> wants people to die, thinks ending the world (shadow dimension) sounds fun Yithril -> honor code aristocracy, yet also love fighting/bloodshed Magnar and Kraxis -> Civilized and Conniving Umber -> believes in social
Also, as referenced in this thread, as opposed to 'Good and Evil', I assigned a theme to each race (and expanded upon it) Resolyn : Death Worshipping Caste system -> Main inspiration was Hindu India, as well as Buddhism. Some scary parallels with Planescape dustmen. Urxen : Social order and rapid growth, Religion includes harmony with beasts and worship of serpents (especially dragons)
I would also like to see Tall vs Wide factions. Tall Factions -> Gilden, Pariden, Magnar, Kraxis Wide Factions -> Capitar, Trogs Balanced Factions -> Altar, Tarth, Urxen, Resolyn
Spell points per battle is an interesting idea ... either way I think intelligence/ spell power needs to have more use than just the "resist chance" of status affecting spells.
I generally get 2 path picks before level 10 pretty easily. However yes, 3 path picks is probably next to impossible.
Perhaps General should also reduce the cost for logistic techs?
I would like this :) and perhaps Warlock and Summoner should be more likely to roll Spell Sphere traits on level up, as well as have cheaper spell techs.

Seems like these things I pick are very unimportant compared to the gear I am able to find, and I hate that. If anything there should be trait requirements ... but its probably better for hero

I don't know the backstory well enough to know which... what do you guys think?
Kraxis!!! :) They are the deadly spiders of diplomacy. They will learn the customs of other lands so as to appease those peoples, all the while setting up a network of spies and assassins, so that if someone crosses them the trap can be sprung. Equ
Yea .... I'd also like a (no mana plz k thx by) option for Autoresolves ... Its pretty bad when I could have won with 0 mana, and instead my sov uses "mana blast" twice for 60 total mana ... :(
Thank you! I am most proud of my Resolyn and Urxen lore ... only finished about 3/4'ths of the way in my Urxen lore though ;) (Haven't gotten to the Urxen's ultimate quest or their 'World Hydra' yet)
I am a bit partial towards individual mana pools ... but I admit the global pool is beginning to grow on me.
 Just started playing Planescape: Torment again ... and although I didn't use it as direct inspiration, holy shit the parallels! Dying Dust -> Dustmen True Death ... To be fair I was going to have the priestly caste be called "The Withered" but then I figured Dying Dust had more gravitas. For Resolyn I went with Hinduism and used the Buddhist definition of enlightenment (nothingness). Also in planescape the Dustmen see

Tactical battles -> looking good AI -> looking good (give the AI better, and more, units to choose from ;)) Faction Differentiation -> lets wait on the next Beta Things to learn from Civ IV: Each city was an investment ... had to wait a bit before it paid itself in gold. In FE each new city is an immediate gain ... not sure this should be the case. -> Way I see it, n
I like the idea Das
most buildings might have not had maintenance, but cities did. Buildings paid for themselves immediately, however new cities took some time to grow, but then became awesome.
I the idea of attaching quotes to techs ;) (don't expect any voice actors though :p) also check out this. https://forums.elementalgame.com/419471
Would be a nice idea! Perhaps wild lairs could still be explored as if on a Quest though ... and if you win there is a percentage chance of the lair being "cleared" --> I prefer the Multi-level Lair idea personally, but this might be easier to implement.
