Game is great but many of you must know Trolls are never satisfied and want to redesign every game that comes out.

2 hours? Wow I figured it out in 2 seconds. Anytime one gets a new game they should go a clicking around the map and on the toolbars. You learn so much by doing that. So what if you mess something up it's not like you have to play that first game to its finish. All this the game isn't intuitive or has no tutorial is for babies.

Even with double the defense rating they were consistently being hit for 10-12 damage. At best 6 levels of h

[quote who="Vladesch" reply="58" id="2726138"] Quoting Annatar11, reply 1 One big issue that hugely affects champions is the fact that a unit group simply pools all of its stats and treats it as one. So if you have 10 units with 10 damage each, on an attack the game just rolls 0-100. This is obviously bad when your single champion only has 30 hp. What should happen is each of those 10 units rolls 0-10 and the champion is then given a defense roll for each of the 10

lvl 2 comes at 50 population you'll need 2 huts for this, next level at 100 population you'll need 4 huts for this or upgrade to shantys for less buildings required to hold population. I know it does tell you on one of the city info screens how much population you need to level up. Also you'll need 1 food unit per approx 25 population so if you're near fertile ground you should be able to get to level 3 city before having to upgrade/research higher advances.

Waiting for the game to be stable and balanced before to release, even if it means a later release would certainly have been better. This may have been a cause for bank account problems, but you wouldn't have had such exhaustion problem! And possibly, I would have avoided all that frustration. I'm g

People can make 100's of online persona and skew any poll that doesn't allow just one vote per IP address and even a good hacker can get through those. Common knowledge is about 2% of consumers of primary single player games will in fact partake of multiplayer and of that 2% only a handful will play it beyond the first month. Multiplayer is for dweeb

[quote who="Bellack" reply="94" id="2711405"]Frogboy you had said that a modder could remake Ultima IV with the modding tools for Elemental. Could someone recreate Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic? I could see it getting modded and remade but not AOW:SM

Hi, I just recently purchased the special edition of Elemental and it didn't show up in my Games list on Impulse. So where do I download this beta build? Please give a link if there is one.

I'd rather not see ^ this happen. This is the problem with just about all fantasy games with heroes. You spend the entire game just building up one strong one and the outcome of the game depends on his/her survival and that just ruins the entire game when you lose your hero this way. I'd rather see STATIC heroes they come with base stats and they remain with base stats and losing one won't ruin the game or make it so lopsided nobody wants to finish a game. Please do not make this game herocen

[quote who="Frogboy" reply="11" id="2569784"]Good discussion. So let's talk about what housing is meant to accomplish in Elemental: The idea is to provide a mechanism of deciding which cities should contain your population. Right now, the weakness I see is that farming (food) is too connected to a given city. As a result, we have the problem where a farming village can't feed a distant city as you would have in the real world. So the question is, ho

It's going to be primarily a single player game with multiplayer ability. But, I do believe I read they will not sacrifice anything from the single player game to apease the multiplayer teenie tiny group. This is what sets Stardock apart from the many other strategy games out there. They are single player solo play oriented and I applaud them for that. Triumph studios ruined AOW:Shadowmagic in fact because of putting too much emphasis on multiplayer and the single player solo game suffers and

I remember playing a game of monopoly once and all I had on the board were the yellows and hotels on them and I won the game. I made it around the board everytime without landing once on the other players larger holdings. I'd hit tax or water works and electricity and community chest and chance and just never got hit by his major stuff and he landed on one of my yellows everytime around the board hahaha and his landings on chance or community chest would send him around the board closer to my

I think that is key Tormy is give us options like in GalCiv2 you know like tech trading on/off switch. Those that want to play with the sovereign dies game over can and those that don't want it can turn it off. I don't see why this has to be such an issue and dividing point. Create a switch and everyone is happy. ;)) I really think it is going to be a major issue with the selling point if it's one sided. I've been reading other forums and prospective buyers are not happy it's not more like Ma

First of all, where do you all read, in that sentence, that sovereign death = game over? Brad just says that sovereigns will die, and not flee, be teleported or whatever. He does not mention that it will be "game over" at all. That said, a little fun idea (just an idea, maybe totally unbalanced or "undoable") : At the end of a bat

[quote who="Tormy-" reply="6" id="2392440"] quoting post Okay, here's our latest thought process on the sovereign. First, let me say that the sovereign dying is a non-negotiable thing to us. It's an important core concept. There is no problem with sovereign dying. The problem is that the game will end. It's not acceptable imho. If that is the core concept, it's real bad. I don't understand why you devs don't "exploit" t
