I don't think the true fans ask for too much but I do think the forum TROLLS do. I figure most of them are from Paradox forums anyway.

Ahhh I see some of the Paradox FANBOIS are here as well. They know full well how the gestapo moderators work over there. They delete posts and ban for saying negative things about their games. I've seen it, my friends have seen it and YOU have seen it. So don't act like paradox forums are gods gift to gamers. Worst forum and worst forum fanboie members I've ever seen.

I am fully aware people are not put on this planet to meet up to my expectations, dear god, do you actually get by in life acting so smug and pointing out the obvious? EDIT: Wow, okay. Had a look at your posts, and seems like that is indeed all you do.
You sure don't a
I personally hate any "fanboy". Be it games, PC/Mac, cars...whatever. The fact that someone can be so close-minded and not accept that someone might like something other than what you like is just ridiculous. And that someone is not even open to TRY something else/new. It's sad really.
Sorry, but, that's reality and life bucko might as well get used to it. Nobody was put in this life to meet up to "your"

I'm more than willing to hear someone refute the points brought up in anything I've posted, but the only defense anyone ever gives is generic stuff along the lines of what you just posted.
Quoting PanicWave, reply 17 I wonder why people cheats on computer games... isnt it better put on easy mode? They cheat because they lack the maturity for facing any real challenges which only weakens their strategic gameplay in the longterm. Many are perfectly comfortable reloading a saved game over and over to win important battles or change a random event... those poor computer opponents never h

Make quests like in Warlords III where you can pick the level of difficulty as well as a new one as soon as the old one is finished. But don't let the low level quests turn into an exploit of medium to high level reinforcements like Warlords III did. I recall you could build customized gains in Warlords III and players would turn off everything else and make them zero's just to get Dragons as free mercs on some easy quest of deliver a message to point A on the map that were 99% always wi
Okay, so I kept my mouth shut and waited for the great 1.1 patch; finally get it and less than 1 hour into my first game it CTDs. I now really feel like the money I spent on this game was a complete waste and I will not be buying another Stardock product unless it has been out a year and half a dozen of my friends swear to how good it is. I could have dealt with a much more modest revamp game play and balance-wise if it was *stable*! To have strung
but the total customization of human troops feels too much like a game of Excel. In GalCiv, being able to completely customize spaceships fitted the concept well, but in a fantasy game I would like it to be a bit more restrictive.
Well I totally disagree with this because Alpha Centauri proved what a great idea being able to custom build ALL your units WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS is. I had more fun CREATING different types of units than I ever had in any other
IMHO, the Golden Age of Gaming was the days of the Comodore 64/Amiga, the Atari 400/800, and the Apple IIe; as soon as the PC entered the gaming world, it went downhill in a hurry! Although the Intelivision was pretty cool in its day as well
You got that right. The C64 and Amiga 500 ruled in both gameplay and graphics compared to the PC. Just go back and play

The only thing taht must be improved in 1.1 is the AI, strategic to tactical. I could care less about all the rest as it can come slowly if the AI would just be challenging and fun and proper difficulty by difficulty levels like GC2.
I don't get this "golden era" mentality. Games have always been bug ridden messes. I believe in 1983 or so the entire market crashed due to poor quality and an oversaturated market. Almost any game with any sort of graphics required me to fiddle with settings and struggle through computer crashes. I remember one CRPG, the name is escaping me, where part way through the game, you became completely invulnerable to atta

Games being released in a bad sad state is nothing new it's been happening since Win98 and has gotten progresssively WORSE over the years. It's now a no fretter to release games in a crappy unplayable state BECAUSEEEEEE many IDIOTS will still pay for CRAP OUT OF THE BOX. If morons would stop doing this then these games would stop being released this way or better yet might finally be released in a playable bug free state. I could list a ton of games that were horrible releases that got 90's a

Over 80,000 copies of this game sold already so the small portion of merely forum members don't represent 1/10000th of those that bought the game therefore there is no need for these types of threads with stupid "official" bs when there is nothing official about the OP. I could care less if the tactical game looks like that wad of units all conglomerated all over the map in a pile of mess. I prefer hex or square based and turn based combat as has been told by Brad et all many times that this

Question which resourse/building is for which research tree? If I want magical research points what do I build or look for on the map? If I want civilization improvements like food, armies, diplomacy etc what buildings do I build or resources do I look for? I know there is arcane and world I'm just not sure which is which so I'm building everything to get research points into them.
