Really this could be achieved the same way Civ4 handles certain buildings. Just make a limit of one per nation for certain buildings. Every town can build a harbor, only one can build the harbor of the heron king. Any town can build a temple, but only one can build the ultra-rad temple of truthiness.

What a great mod! I always install it when I reinstall WOM. One quick question... When you were working on this mod, did you stumble across a way to resize bodies? I am curious if there is a way to shrink models to create dwarves, hobbits, or go the other direction and make half giants etc.
Xia, no offense but you don't know what does or does not exist in FE tactical battles. And even if you did, what you can and can't do in tactical battles does little to shape the general design structure of writing an AI.
Frogboy, no offense but is this how it is being coded at present or how you plan to code it? I remember reading the same thing before WOM was released and there was a thread
When I saw you were making this mod I downloaded the game yet again and tried it with vanilla 1.4 and was not surprised to see it still full of bugs and the AI was horrible. So I downloaded your mod and played a few minutes. Your mod is a step in the right direction, and I appreciate your efforts. Did you decide what to do with prestige?
Sounds really awesome. This looks so much more polished than WOM. I can't wait :).
I checked the forum before I posted. Sometimes the forum is bugged and I don't see posts or replies until hours after they are made. I apologize for the double post.
Check out the following article. The gist of it is that Gamestop had employees open and reseal copies of a game because it contained coupons to a competitor's online game distribution outlet. The coupons were removed and the customers were not informed before purchase. http://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/gamestop-under-fire-removing-free-coupons-deus-ex-234821510.
Before you get your hopes up about modding Fallen Enchantress, you may want to read this thread... https://forums.elementalgame.com/408576 Here are a few highlights from the developers:
Unfortunately, there won’t be a moddable DLL for War of Magic or Fallen Enchantress. It’s something we’ve wanted to do, but there aren&rsquo
I loved Firefly, it was like a western set in space. "Jayne" had some funny dialogue. I don't care if this puts me on the outs with the Scifi extremists... I also really liked the new Battlestar Gallactica. With the exception of a few later episodes, I thought the show was awesome, beginning to end.
StarReaper, you're actually being very generous. Correct me if I am wrong, and I may be because I haven't played since 1.2something...but I don't think there is a true random map generator. The "massive" modding support was near nonexistent at launch and over the patches things have actually been taken away in order to hard code fixes. In a recent post it was mentioned that WOM has a very hard time running on new hardware because it was developed for low end

How about Empire total war, it never delivered on its multiplayer Campaign promises, should I ask CA for a refund as well? Windows 7 still blue screens on me sometimes and UAC still bothers me, should I get a refund for it too? I think you've gone a little far, even for the entitlement crowd.
China has a history of doing nothing about these things. They are either behind it or they will be finding these people simply for the information. It is more likely that they will be made national heroes than punished. McAfee probably knows it is the Chinese government but governments and corporations alike are afraid to say anything derogatory about the Chinese government in public.
I also wont be playing but Id like to make a couple points. CBM 1.84 has 13,873 mod commands in it. It definitely changes the game drastically. I dont agree that it "fixes" or "balances" the game (actually neither do its developers anymore). But it has become an interesting way to change the game by shutting down tactics they feel are overused. Personally, Id get tired of Vanilla first. CBM is only used on about half of
@Frogboy: I know you don't mean what you said in your post, or at least I hope you don't. Games existed before computers, and the essence of fun comes from good design of the interplay of resources and strategies. I know there's a lot of work to do under the hood. But unless the core game elements all play together well, all the stable, graphically amazing engine in the world won'
Heavenfall, If you spend more on Well of Misery than was spent on the other enchantments, you will dispel one of them. Elana, It's not difficult at all. Once the games start, Dominions will automatically switch the mods on and off for you. CBM plays very close to vanilla.
Ugh no. It would be impossible to keep up with a game having to sift through the posts from 2 to 3 other games. Is it really a much of a hardship on you?
I'll take Pangaea :)
That's one of the biggest problems with these digital distribution systems (impulse and steam) is that when you download a game, its always the latest. While in most cases that is what the user wants there are a few (like yourself) who like the classic version. I'm having the same frustration with Mount and Blade on Steam. I need 1.134 to run a mod I want but Steam automatically updates it to the latest (and if you reinstall it, its going
The Stardock guys and the Illwinter guys have a great relationship. Some of the Stardock guys play and post in the Shrapnel forums, so I don't think they are going to get mad at you guys for starting Dom games here. Even Brad is a fan of Dominions and it was cited as one of the inspirations for Elemental.
I'm game :).

I am a professional software developer, so maybe that puts me in a different mindset when it comes to communication with the developers. In any case, I think that whether you like or dislike a piece of software you can choose to be respectful to those that are creating it. I think a lot people are very rude/dema

I am really surprised that you found my question about int affecting spells disrespectful to the dev team. It was just a question about the mechanics of the game. I feel like I went back in time and I am dealing with all the WOM beta fanboys all over again. Maybe I am the
If you guys are using Llamaserver, it is the exception.
I'm sorry if i came across that way. All i meant was that this dev post is a hint of things to come, i didn't think it was the final copy of what things were like. Maybe they just didnt want to tell us the int bonuses to spells because it wasn't finalized yet. I meant no disrespect. I too am curious about how stats affect spells and how spells affects stats and i can't wait to hear about it when the team is willing to share.<
I agree completely with Murteas, just because they did not include info like int bonus to damage it does not mean it isen't there, they just are not giving us all the info into the engine at the moment. It is supposed to be a teaser, so give them the benefitu of the doubt, treat the dev's with some respect. After all they do deserve it. They are the one's making the game, not you. yes yes, you are the one buying it but that is no
