Wow, that's a new one on me. If you go to the research window and click on the completed button, does it still show Trade as a completed tech? If you have a saved game that shows this the developers would probably like to take a look at it.

I've seen this too. After Capitar was defeated, three of my sovereign's grandchildren joined Capitar when they came of age, the oldest was labeled their Queen in the Dynasty window. They spent the rest of the game standing on top of (not in) the town where they were born and came of age.
I can't unload troops either. I thought it was like in a city, select unit and right click, or click on the small arrow above the unit circle but they both not work. Is there a disembark command or I am missing something in the interface.
I haven't tried it in 1.7, but as long as your transport is at a beach or a harbor, then yes, I think it's supposed to be like a city as you describe. At least that's the way it worked in the beta and in the one 1.6 game I manage
I was moving my sovereign to attack a group of wolves when I got the Windows message "Elemental.exe has stopped working". Dump file, with debug.err in the zip, is here.
Setting the game to windowed mode on the options screen corrects the cursor issue for me.
Thanks, that worked for me also.
I do have a save where the Sovereign gets XP every battle, even battles that she is not in, but not her entire stack.
Hmm, that would explain what I saw in my last game, my sovereign leveled up after a battle that she was not involved in.
#6 was reported during the beta, and I can confirm that I'm still seeing it also.
Yes, I saw this during the betas also, and I can confirm it's still doing it. By the way, mine is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Elemental\ (the default for Win 7 64), so I don't think the install location is a factor.
Reloaded the game, played for a while more, then again at end of turn got an OoM. Dump file is here , with debug.err in the zip.
On end of turn 345, got an out of memory. Dump file is here, with the debug.err in the zip.
Very interesting post, thank you.
I hope it helps you. Your suggestion about an option file would have to be answered by one of the Impulse developers.
You refer to C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Elemental as the "default install directory." However, when I downloaded from Impulse, I never had a chance to install elsewhere. Is there any way this can be done? (My C drive is small, meant just for the OS)
If you click on the upper left icon in Impulse to pull down a list of options, you can select "Preferences". This will open a window called "Impulse Settings", and the "Folders" tab will allow you to
Here's the dump file , debug.err is in the zip.
I've seen this in both the 2 games I've started so far. If I don't research along the adventure line early, some goodie huts pop up that require a notable level higher than my Sovereign's. For example, the hut requires a level of 2 but my Sovereign is only level 1. So far, so good. The problem is that when I do research adventure and raise my level to 2, the early goodie huts don't recognize my new level. My sovereign can't explore them. New goodie huts tha
I created a new game on 1.00 and saved it after 270 turns. Updated to 1.01, loaded the saved game. It loads fine, and I can play for several moves, but when I try to move my sovereign to a particular spot I get this crash. Dump file is here. Debug.err is in the zip.
After playing for 80 turns, I decided to abandon the game and start a new one. I hit escape, brought up the main menu, and selected "New Game". The game crashed. Dump file (with debug.err included in the zip) is here . I know that this problem was reported during the beta, and it was stated that it was low priority to fix during the beta, but I thought that it was implied that it
I agree. Dragon Age: Origins has this problem too. More than once I've started up the game and had to yank my ear buds out because the splash screen volume was so loud.
If I recall, it simply points out "harvest this with a mine" but I'll try again this evening. I really could use those gold mines.
When you click on it the build icon appears.
The debug file is in one folder, the dump zip file in another. How to find them (and a lot of other good information) can be found in this thread .
Was it a fresh install? I don't have it in there in Win7 64.
It shows up for me on Win7 64.
In other reports of bad starting locations the developers have asked for the debug.err to be provided, so that they can see the random seed used for map generation.
P.S. The pinned posts didn't duplicate when they were replied to before. It's something new since the change.
He's right, that's why I made the original post.
Please see this thread - read it all the way through - for which files the developers need in order to debug the problems you report. They'll need to see any dump files and any debug.err files that might have been created. For your problem it sounds like there won't be a dump file, but the debug.err would probably be useful.
I see it in the Elemental forums.
I don't know if this was a deliberate change or not, but pinned threads are now showing up in both the top "Pinned Posts" section, and in the "Recently Active Posts" sections.
