I saw this also. But I think you have to build up some diplomatic capital before you can train a drake.

I also hit this.
I moved my sovereign onto what appeared to be an empty tile (it looked empty in the cloth map also), only to be told that I had to research Breon's Letters to accept epic quests. After moving on and then hovering the cursor over the tile, the tool tip said it was Arena of the Slakhanan. I was going to provide a link to my saved game, but after saving and reloading, the quest hut now shows correctly.
Yes, I saw this too when I attacked Csilla. Also on 0.77.
I think that any tech named "refined something" can be researched over and over again for improved benefits. For instance, "Refined Farming" would increase your food output by some percentage each time you research it.
I like the idea of having children who grow up to inherit their parent's abilities. My last couple of games featured daughters who grew up to be power spellcasters. I'm not sure how well the marriages work out as game play yet, since I haven't yet had a game last long enough to generate grandchildren.
unless you have creatures turned off, you cannot send a caravan across neutral terrain anyway because caravans and pioneers alike force spawn creatures. So normally you would want a guard unit which in turn can easily be found.
I hope this isn't a duplicate - When I posted the first time I got a "Forum go boom" error. Anyway, just because in your opinion I was doing something unwise, does not invalidate my request.&nbs
Also noticed that it seems tech advances (both mundane and magical) seem to be delayed a turn before they come out, at least visually- the bar fills, but you don't get the advance until the next turn. It happens randomly, and seemed to happen more towards the end of game. Maybe this is a related issue?
Yes, I'm seeing that too. Also the fact that the zone of influence seems to move out (resources on the edge of your inf
When a sovereign is defeated, you see a message from him where he says he is bequeathing what he owns to ... there's no name in the message: When I got this message Pariden (me) and Altar were still alive, so it's not like he didn't have a choice of who to bequeath it to.
Despite the fact that Procipinee and her husband have a child, the dynasty window shows nothing: If I save the game and then reload the dynasty is shown correctly (at least for a while).
In a battle with 8 of my units against 6 brigands, I get to a point in the second round of attacking where 2 of my units still have attack points (moves) left, but the game won't allow me to attack either of the 2 remaining brigands, and if I hit the next turn button nothing happens. One oddity I noticed is that one of the remaining brigands has 0 hit points but is apparently still alive: The on
Would it be possible to change the behavior of the tab key in 1.40 so that caravans that haven't established trade routes yet are included when you cycle through your units? I'm trying to send a caravan to the Altar through the FOW, so I don't know exactly where it's going and can't yet set a final destination. I can tab through the rest of my units, but I have to track down, select, and then move that caravan individually.
Thanks for the response. I tried turning off the auto-turn, and that improved the situation a lot.
Hmm, playing my first game on 1.39, and I have 3 units with available move points, none of which have a destination set. I move one, and the game skips to the next turn, not giving me a chance to move the others. Seems like the opposite of what you're reporting, but maybe a related problem.
After the beta ended, I quit playing the game for a long time, moving on to other games. Recently I downloaded 1.30 and started playing it again. I encountered several problems that had been seen in the original beta, including the "rescue the knight/damsel" quest being impossible to complete and goodie huts that were invisible on the cloth map, plus a number of new ones (like not being able to cast the regeneration spell). In my second game I ran into the stagnation bug, so
On my Windows 7 machine, the saved games are in \Documents\My Games\Elemental\Saves
You can download Impulse here .
This happened to me a lot on earlier versions, and yes, it has been reported in the support forum, although I don't have the link handy. Anyway, what was suggested in the earlier report of this problem was to try playing in windowed mode rather than split screen. That fixed it for me. To change to windowed mode, go to options, click on the video tab, and uncheck "Use Fullscreen". You don't need to reduce the resolution, it'll play fine at your full desktop resolution
I saw a jump of 14K gildar, but I had completed the mint and killed a pioneer within a turn or two.
Oh, man, I only got 14K gildar from killing a pioneer! Where's the rest of my 6 million? [e digicons][/e]
Pastebin only allow uploaded files of 1.5M or smaller my saved game is 1.6M so unless there is another program out there not sure how to send it to you.
During the beta the developers encouraged the use of Dropbox, you might want to check it out.
If I'm understanding the problem you're describing, I've seen it also. However, for me, zooming in and out with the mouse wheel makes the units and cities reappear.
I haven't downloaded 1.08 yet (will do so tonight), but I had a very similar problem in 1.07 in the tactical battle screens. Switching from fullscreen to windowed (at full resolution) fixed it. Does that work for you? Of course you'll lose the edge scrolling, but that might not be a problem [e digicons][/e]
they're allowing me to build and use multiple caravans!
Empires have an easily researched tech that allows you to build 2 caravans per town, is this perhaps what you've seen?
If I'm understanding the OP correctly, this seems to be a common problem. I normally use ear buds to listen to games, and hence have the volume turned way down. Well, Dragon Age Origins, for example, also ignores the sound settings when it puts up its splash screen, and if I forget about that I have to rip the ear buds out to keep my eardrums from being blown out. Once the game starts it's ok, but that splash screen sound is a killer. Same with Oblivion.
