On the cloth map, you can't see the sovereign, but the arrow is pointing where he is. If I zoom in, though, he shows up:
Publius of NV
I started a new game and set the autosave to save every turn. Each turn I see the memory bump up about 16M, and then fall back, but when it falls back it's 1 or 2M higher than it was on the previous turn.
I just got another out of memory crash. Dump file is here. #1. I didn't change the autosave settings, so whatever the default is. #2. I'd say I probably had 10 or fewer tactical battles. #3. I did not see any large jumps in memory usage. It was a slow and steady increase over something like 240 turns. As I noted in another thread I was able to get the m
I attacked a minor faction and defeated them in a tactical battle. After I finished with the sovereign level-up window, I was shown the former site of the defeated town, but my sovereign was invisible: I tried to get a saved game but got the out of memory error when I did.
My sovereign defeated a band of bandits. Zooming out to the cloth map, the bandits are shown as still there: When I zoom in, the bandit leader goes through an animation of dying and falling to the ground, after which he looks like this: Zooming back out to the cloth map shows the same scene as I pictured above.&
Not a huge leak, but I drove the memory usage from 756M to 762M just by zooming out to the cloth map and zooming back in, over and over and over, never advancing the turn.
I'd been able to play for over 200 turns, but finally hit the out of memory. It looks like a dump file was created, with the debug.err included in the zip. Here it is. BTW, I'm on Windows 7 64 bit.
I've seen this too. In my case I had a party of 3 archers, and 2 of the 3 animated arrows flew in the wrong direction, but the target reported full damage as if all 3 arrows had hit.
I hit a quest hut that had the Alzor's armor quest. I accepted the quest, battled the spiders and won (although I switched to auto-resolve partway through the battle), but did not receive the armor. The quest is still listed in the kingdom report as an active quest, but if I go back to the quest hut it tells me that the location has already been visited and has no quests. Sorry I don't have a saved game. I didn't think to check for whether I had the armor until sever
Rats! That bug is really starting to get annoying. It gets squashed and keeps coming back.
As I recall, we had the same bug during the beta of GC2, and it took so long to fix that I switched to always playing in windowed mode. As I do to this very day [e digicons]:P[/e]
What do caravans do? They appear to be moving resources around - where does this come from? Do cities just need to connect to the capital, or to each other? Where is their income reported? Is only a single caravan needed to connect any two cities, or are there returns from more caravans?
In 3C caravans are described as increasing the economic output of a city by 10%. I haven't been able to experimentally verify that the 10% figure is accurate, but they do seem
Have you tried selecting the farm tile and then looking at the build options, or are you trying to build from within the city build menu? The behavior was changed recently so that now you have to do the former.
alternatively, i just downloaded jing, if that has a screen shot shortcut, i could use that
You can change Jing's preferences to use a hotkey. I have mine set to control-j.
You have to build an archery range in one of your towns before you can train archers.
Happened to me too, and I was able to use Jing to get a short video of it. I posted that in this post.
That is exactly why I enabled the "Zoom to city" mode in the gameplay options.
There was a change in 3B or 3C where you can build on these tiles but not from the city build window. Instead of opening the city build, select the tile by left clicking on it and you'll have an option to build on it.
I hit the same problem. Dump file is here. Here is a saved game that seems to recreate the problem. Move the sovereign to the southwest to the ancient ruin, accept the quest, fight the spiders, and on winning, click ok when the window about the armor appears. The game then crashes.
I won the battle, got the window that I had the armor, but the game then crashed. Dump is here.
This looks like it's probably the same as this thread .
The game I played last night as Kingdom had no horses either, only wargs. At least as far as I was able to explore.
Good point. I built it but didn't check to see the results.
Medium map, turn 150 got Out of Memory error. As usual, I got dump file and a 0 length zip crash file. I put the .dmp file into the .zip, and here it is. The debug.err is here.
This has been reported before, I just want to note that it's still there in .91. Following a battle between my sovereign and one summoned familiar, the familiar is listed twice in the results window:
