I don't think those traits apply to squads. I think they're meant for heroes.
My custom hammer bearers upgrade from leather to chain ok. Haven't tried plate yet because I'm playing with a custom race that uses masterwork chainmail.
I find that there's a good chance that custom factions get selected for AI players when I start new games.
I often see that too.
My original three cities should be happy about this, but instead, because I added 6 cities or so to my empire, they now have high unrest.
I never used to raze conquered cities, but now I raze them all. I can live with the current system but if the developers can come up with a more fun system I'd like to see it.
i wasn't able to set the move order to the thile were the outpost was placed (no reaction and no marking of destination).
That doesn't seem right. For me, when I target the outpost with my army, the mouse pointer becomes the crossed swords indicating a battle, but it lets me right click and move onto the outpost and capture it.

I'm not clear on what you mean about the outpost problem. Normally in LH, if you target your army to move on top of the outpost you capture it. If you target your army beyond the outpost, assuming that the path the game chooses for you will walk over the outpost, it won't, and you won't capture the outpost. If you're unable to capture the outpost by moving your army on top of it, then you might have found a real bug (although one I've never seen).
But the other factions seem to get upset when you start building them even though you can't eventually cast the spell.
They actually only get upset when you start building the Tower of the Witch. That might be a bug, maybe they should get upset with any of them. But the way it is in .80, you can build the other 2 without the diplomatic penalty.
You need to heal the land by clearing all of the goodie huts in the swamp. Some of them are hard to see, so switch to the clothmap, that should make it easier. I only had the swamp wildland two or three times in FE, but that is the way I cleared it each time.
I did that. It still didn't clear. Which is why I think there's still a bug.

For me, one of the most annoying problems with FE and now LH is when you can't finish a quest. In this saved game , I've cleared all monsters from the swamp wildland, killed the boss Ruin of Summer (and got the Steam achievement for it), and taken all the goodie huts. Yet the quest is still listed as incomplete. I've reloaded the game with the -cheat option so that I could use control-U

Tech tree display problems have been described in several threads ( including this one, where I gave steps to reproduce the problem ), and the most common cause is loading a game from within a game (which includes hitting control-N to get a new map at start). There are numerous bugs in the game because it doesn't clean up properly when you load a game. Could that be what you did?

Here's another tactical map with a tile that is not accessible. My storm dragon cannot move to the tile pointed to by the long red arrow. It can move to the two tiles on either side (indicated by the short red arrows).

I'm still seeing this on .80, and now I just saw the same thing on the Storm spell cast by my sovereign. The cloud and lightning effect were shown over one troll, then a different troll fell dead.
Masterwork chain mail is chain mail. So plate mail proficiency wouldn't be required to help you equip it. But you may still want it if you fine plate mail in the world you want your champion to wear.
That makes sense, especially for the champion's armor further along in the magic tree. Thanks.

I had a trade treaty and economic treaty with Umber. After a save, quit game, reload and playing some number of turns, I went to the diplomacy window and noticed that my relations with Umber didn't list any treaties; but it did say that we had caravans together, which would imply that we did still have an economic treaty active: <a href="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5003976/

If your faction uses masterwork chain mail, is that now enabled by the plate proficiency? Or is the plate proficiency useless in that case? I'm not far enough along in my current game to test it out.

Here's another bad stamp, a waterfall sticking up in the middle of nowhere: Here's the saved game. The water fall is in the upper left part of the explored region.

I posted a saved game and steps to recreate in this thread some time ago. If you had loaded a saved game from within the game, or done a control-N at the start to generate a new map, it's probably the same bug as the one I described.
