Oh my, this is making me want to go build an unstoppable juggernaut army!

You can customize the contents of the action bar to some extent. If you select the spells button (at the bottom of the action bar), for example, it will show you a list of spells available to the character. There's an icon to the right of each s
Yeah, if only the ability bar was customizable or saved most frequently used skills.
If you're trying to be sarcastic it's neither effective, amusing, nor appreciated. I had a bunch of henchmen I'd trained and this useless spell showed up on the action bar of every single one of them, since for them the bar wasn't yet filled.
Invisible treasure tile on the strategic map. I randomly found a treasure tile which I could click on, and loot, but which had no graphic to represent it as a treasure tile.
I noticed this twice in my current game.
Was this from the very beginning, or had you reloaded a saved game from within the game? There have been a LOT of problems related to loading saved games from within the game instead of exiting and restarting.
I think it might be better served as a scroll to be used in battle. That way it doesn't use up the spells on the book and is gone the moment you use it, as a one shot deal.
I like that idea a lot. It really confused me, during the quest, when I saw that my secondary heroes had the spell when my sovereign had accepted the quest. If it were a scroll it would belong only to the champion who had accepted the quest.</p
The spell was never intended to work.
Thanks. If that's the case it would help if the spell was removed at the end of the quest, since the way it is now it's cluttering up the action bar of all of my heroes and henchman.
I just did the Cloak of Stars quest, for the first time ever, and when I cast the Vatula's Dragonslayer spell on the storm dragon, it did nothing. My army was able to kill the dragon anyway, and now the spell shows up in the spellbook. Is the spell supposed to work? Or is it deliberately not working, i.e. the wizard in the quest gave you a bad spell? If the former, then it's broken. If the latter, then (a) the spell shouldn't still be in the spellbo
I must be too old school. I see a book, I want to turn the pages. [e digicons][/e]
.85 changed the way the spellbook worked, so that when you opened it the last spell you cast would be pre-selected for you. The last spell I cast was Arcane Monolith. I opened the spellbook again intending to cast a city enchantment, and it opened looking like this: In order to get to the city enchantments I have to page back. But only page forward is enabled (note the page
I got the DX error crash on .85 when closing the lid of my laptop. Win7 64.
Brad, Derek & co. are either working really late or we're not going to see .85 tonight. I can gladly wait a little longer if more fixes are complete!
I couldn't figure out what the OP was specifically calling out either. My #1 complaint about roads was that they would route through wildlands. I see that .85 is supposed to fix this, which is great news. My #2 was that roads between my towns, or between my towns and outposts, would occasionally go through the AI's towns. I haven't seen that in a while, but I'm not sure it's fixed. I've also seen odd or inefficient routes, but I don't
It's possible Ascian joined a pack drake unit, but lost the drakes before this battle? I've seen Ascian join up with Sydicate units while roaming.
I have no idea. All I know was that when I found him he was alone.
Or maybe not, I don't know. I do remember that someone else also reported this.
This might have been fixed for the next beta release. From the beta .85 changelog: Fixed bug where you could get repeat recruited champions after loading a game
I've noticed the same thing - it's much worse on some tactical maps than others. I think the worst is the one that looks like a narrow canyon. Rotating the map view does help.
If you hit the tab key it will cycle between any units that have movement points left and any cities that are not producing anything.
My observation has been that the occupied city unrest penalty declines over time.
Yes, it does. I'm razing enemy cities because I'm playing on huge maps and already have 10 to 12 cities of my own at the time.
Here's a save from earlier in the game , before my army entered the swamp wildland.
I think I might know what happened.
I can't verify that. The only armies that were near the wildland were Altar, and later in the game when I defeated them I didn't see any tamed monsters in any of their armies, but I suppose it could have happened.
I've played a couple of games on huge maps where Pariden (in one) and Oracle whatever-her-name is started building the towers before I'd explored far enough to find them. Since then I've been turning off the spell of mastery victory.
took a look at your save and we have some questions.
I manually cleared the wildland, and yes, I hit the last goodie hut and nothing happened. I do not know if the AI had been in there before me. I did not see any AI units in the wildland from the time I entered it until I defeated the boss and cleared all the goodie huts. Auto turn was turned off, I never use it. I might have a saved game from befor
Others have suggested moving it later in the magic tech tree, and I tend to agree. As far as I know, you are the first to suggest moving the tower of the sword and the tower of the padars to the other trees. I'll have to think about that.
I wonder if it is counting the troll lairs as goodiehuts, even though you can't remove them.
I don't know. I know I moved my army on top of each interesting location (including the troll lairs) after beating the boss, in a vain attempt to clear the quest.
