No it was left out so the player wouldn't "game" the AI by trading surplus resources or worthless tech for very valuble ones.

This thread contains a serious issue and good detective work by some players. I've noticed the problem but hadn't put 2+2 together. Good job.
Heroes need more special abilities that do not require mana. Combat techniques so to speak. Also if they fall in combat they should be knocked unconscious and gain no XP for the battle but should not be killed. Everyone is right about the cost of gear. Although we have to be careful since items like medicine packs can be stacked.
Don't forget there are two difficulty settings. One for Neutral Creatures at map selection and Individual Faction AI difficulty which you select for each opponent at the opponent selection screen. If you are just changing the ONE setting for the map that does not affect AI players!
You should register with Impluse and download the patches. Each spell is subtly different.
This is the best complement I can give you and your team; I'm having a blast playing. I purchased this game before beta 1. A friend of mine bought me Starcraft II as a gift. I received both the same day. I played two missions of Starcraft. I've played a dozen hours of Elemental. Thank you for daring to be different!
If you like 4x turn-based strategy games, you'll like it. And the game will only get better. Here's a couple of other things to consider... People who are upset are always louder than people who like the game. The people who like the game are busy playing. Second, the beta group isn't upset because the release version is SO much better than the beta version. Looking at what was accomplished in a couple weeks I have high hopes for the 30 day and 60 day p
Now that is good press. Reaching non-traditional games. A lot of people who read that article would never have known the game existed before.
There have been major leaps forward in the last few weeks. Tatical battles are WAY better. I'm also really enjoying the way city developement turned out. I hate city spam. In other 4x games the AI was always better at it than me. So rather than build I just took their cities. Now I have reasons to build my own. There is so much potential in this game. I hope Stardock and the mod community push their creative limits.
NO you can only build a farm on Fertile Land. However, there should always be a spot of fertile land near your starting point. From there you'll have to explore to find more. Food is a RARE and valuable resource. However, keep in mind that with housing research it doesn't take much food to level up your city.
We are about to heat it up!
Age of Empires III was/is a great game. Probably the best resource focused RTS to date.
According to THE FROG, it's drag and drop when the two characters are near each other.
You do not have a receipt or email because you have not made the purchase yet. By pre-ordering you have only scheduled the purchase. Stardock will bill your card when you recieve the game. It isn't available yet so they haven't billed you. Beta testers were billed because we received a product (the beta). The beta is over so, no product = no charges.
Frog Inquiry: So did your daughter become a unit under the control of Umber? If so, what happens if they declare war on you?
Let me tell you a story . Once there was a game called Demigod. It was not developed by Stardock . It was published by Stardock. At launch this multi player- centric game had devistating connectivity issues for a significant
Don't worry everything will be micro transaction soon enough. Good games will make a fortune. Bad games will get punished.
Rip - Never fear there is one key difference between Elemental and Sins. Elemental is Turn-Based. You can take all the time you like analyzing the situation, reading the built in help system, etc. The pacing of this style of game helps new players. Also, there will be lower difficulty levels were you "the player" have an advantage over the AI. This will help compensate for strategic mistakes while you learn the game and hopefully make it feel "fun" right from the
They burned me on HOI 3. I will never buy another Paradox developed game. They still publish some good ones but they released an unplayable mess. They should be ashamed. So I'll speak the only way I can; with my wallet. Well and this message.
Thank you for the Snarky-free AI. I get enough of that from my wife. [e digicons][/e] Early access would be appreciated. Double if we have it in time for next weekend.
dragoaskani - They did take money if you received the beta. However, you did not receive any goods so they wait to process your order. They may place a small hold on your account though to verify the card number. Not sure how Impulse works but I've seen this from other companies.
The screenshots in that article show how wonderful the new UI looks. All of the important information is readily available. No digging through menus looking for city production or growth rate. No kingdom screen to show you what all your town are building. Etc. So all I can say is THANK YOU!
VicenteC beat me to it but Magic and Mayhem perfectly fits your description. It is a great game. Sacrifice is another great choice - check GOG.com for this one.
Remove 1 per world buildings. They are too CIV like. More faction specific buildings to amplify the impact of that decision.
Don't worry if Stardock goes the way of some other classic game companies you can always buy another copy from GOG.com or it's equivalent in 2025.
