I think the upgrade options are fine. It's the slot in the city's build queue that is the problem. If the outpost had a separate queue upgrades would get used more often and be another place to apply resources.

I agree completely. I can't believe this isn't mentioned more often. I realize they are trying to remove the "stack of doom" but it's a single player game! Who is my stack of doom hurting? Besides with FH the developer has total control over the pace of new heroes and the max level/power. The endgame power of a hero could be on par with a traditional army unit. Finally, hidden mechanics are a bad idea. New players will not even rea
EA can't give refunds. They are a public company and analysts were expecting a revenue bump the quarter SimCity was released. They can give away old games to mitigate damage to their brand since doing so won't harm current quarter projections. The stock market does not take kindly to missing earning projections. This is what separates the Stardocks and Valves from EA, Ubisoft, etc.
Ultima Online consumed my free time back in the day. Now I find Age of Wushu and I see many similarities. Any of you who loved UO may want to give this one a look. It's a little rough around the edges (localization). Oh and it's free to play with some time restrictions until launch on 4/10. For now you get 10 hours the first two days then an hour a day. There is a $20 edition that removes the restriction (actually you get VIP status i.e. p
I have JA2 but never managed to not get killed anytime I tried to play.
Be sure you aren't playing the expansion or the Wildfire version. Both are hardcore. Much harder than the original release of JA2. If JA2 is the problem, just remember cover and flank. Those are the most important things.
Morrowind GOTY. I just wanted to LIVE in that game. Hell, I still do.
Live in that game? No thanks. My luck I'd be the guy with a jump ring soon to be face down.
The Shield (Great start to finish) It actually nails the final episode which almost never happens. The Wire Had to edit to add: The Lost Room
Betrayal at Krondor The writing and characters are unmatched. The writing was so good you'd find yourself reading the description of each item in your pack. Combat was solid too. Careful use of items, positioning, and timing made a difference. A true masterpiece.
Am I forgetting something? I'm pretty sure Warlords was better than the sequel Warlords II. Focus was on units rather than heroes. Warlords was better because you were pushing with large armies on numerous fronts.
Oh my! Thank you for pointing this game out. It is made by the developer of Jagged Alliance: Back in Action. An underrated game IMHO.
I'm preparing for flames but... Jagged Alliance 2
- The Path of the Governor should stay as it is, but a governor should get xp every turn he is in a city
This. In LH have control over the skills the governor can select. A hero only gets one path. You can prevent offensive and defensive skills. So "free" xp should not cause a problem.
Hi haven't been here since the horrid release of Elemental (the first version) but just droped in as I seen fallen entrantress on steam and woundered how I would go about getting the copy we were told we would get ages ago! if I could get that key to activate on steam would be good ?
It is my understanding, you have to retrieve your "free" copy of Fallen Enchantress through your Stardock account page on the Star
Dr. Guy, You bring up an interesting point for discussion. However, with all due respect, I think the presentation doesn't assume a static pie. He speaks in percentages. Thus, enlarging the pie doesn't necessarily elevate the bottom quarter of the population. This is the argument the presenter is trying to make. Growth alone can't solve this issue.
Draginol, This is an interesting post. You are likely positioned right of center on the economic graphs you present yet you see the flaws in the system. You seem to value the left half's money possibly more than the individuals do themselves (evidence: WoM performed poorly so you provided FE/LH free to compensate). A patch says sorry our company stands behind it's products. Your response speaks to your "sense of fairness". Having said that
I'm so ready for LH I can't even boot FE. The champion fix is #1 in my book. Question: Since you have better control over champion population in LH will you do away with the xp split when grouping champions? Hidden mechanics are bad IMHO. tl/dr Really? It's only 3 lines. Try again, you can do it.
Game gets a thumbs up from me. I am really enjoying it.
They are right MOM was broke as hell version 1.0. Even with it's latest official release it was not balanced. Wanna see, grab some paladins and drop a few buffs on them. Proceed to roll. Here's the difference between DOS (win3.1) and winXP games - Everything was new! the medium was new, the ideas were new. MOM, XCOM, Dune II etc. This stuff had never been done before. You can't get that feeling today because most games
Can I change my vote on what Stardock should do next? If this is your idea of refining FE, then by all means, refine FE.
My jaw is on the floor. My only complaints are being addressed; skill trees, weapon based skills, and better integration of champion discovery. It always seemed weird seeing champions littered about the map. They were much better in WoM when they moved about. I like the LH solution.. BTW - bravo on integrating with Steam. It's a wonderful platform.
First of all, thank you for asking and I agree you have a beautiful game engine. One of a kind in fact. My suggestion? Make a choice: Either, focus on RPG elements (quests, gear, retinue, etc.) and keep all the battles on the main screen. One unit/champion per square. Then use the battle maps to aid questing (dungeons, buildings, etc.). Random maps and replayability would make you unique among RPGs. You could even use the dynasty system to t
Integration may be better for us in the long run. We'll see. Graphics always pushed the envelop and forced upgrades. Graphics quality is finally beginning to plateau. This should force developers to focus on gameplay since they can't rely on a new game simply looking better than last year's version.
I would love to see their data correlating price and volume. I wonder which price constitutes an impulse buy. I know I've purchased games I've never played. (e.g. $5 KOTOR)
I feel the same way you do. I expected kingdom vs empire to have a greater effect. As it is, the AI just ruthlessly culls the weak. The end result; unless the player gains the upper hand early, there is no way to limit the battle fronts or selectively engage in conflicts. Other players will have advice on how to manage the AI but shouldn't there be more than one way to play (e.g. zerg, turtle, boomer, etc.)
I would gladly give up player designed units for more variety. I suspect most players have their favorite builds and just recreate them every game. FE is not like most space 4X games where shields stop mass drivers but melt to beam weapons. I don't see FE as a game where you "react" to what the opponent is building. Besides unique units are the key to faction differentiation.
