I found this awesome Dominions 3 After Action Report. Its good reading and the author assumes little knowledge of the game so describes some of the mechanics. It shows some of the cool fantasy strategy of Dominions 3 and should serve to whet the appetite of anyone interested in Elemental. http://dom3.servegame.com/wiki/User:Matryx/Guides/Dominions_3_Newbie_Game Enjoy as the underwater kingdom of mind enslaving fish looking t
I'd rather they stop working on Civ5 (for now) and do a SMAC2, that is a franchise long LONG overdue for some new blood!
Civ 4 Colonization. They will use the Civ 5 engine to release a sequel to SMAC. Its already planned, along with the features missing in the Civ 5 release that will be in the Civ 5 expansion packs.....

This is good. I'd like to expand on it too. Given the link up the game will have with the Stardock servers (to up and download mods, patches ect) I think it would be very easy to set up a "Game of the Month" like on the civfanatics forum. Give the pure single player a way to compare vs others. Games could either be from the start of a game or part way through, where Stardock has set up a tricky situation to manage. Eventually GotM's could be with quality mods. Allow users to
A view on the US healthcare system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7oMNu6P4Vc Administration costs are a bit high in the US, 20 cents of every dollar.
Makes me wonder more about the tactical combat. Even 250 vs 1000 is tough let alone 4 vs 1000. And compared with the old MoM "1 unit per square" have we got rid of squares? Back on topic... The system sounds very organic. Very Sword of Aragon but with construction times. Interesting [e digicons][/e]

Just polished version of civ 4 with new engine and good modding possibilites.
The new combat will be change the game heaps. Civ has never had tactical combat, now it will and it there won't be any "going to the mini-map" stuff, it will all occur on the main game map. What I'm interested in is if th
I have just learned to play the board game Agricola. It is a game of strategy and what you describe above sums up the difference between the "basic" game (family version?) and the "advanced" game. Sword of the Stars tackled the problem by having a tech tree that changed each game, I think Elemental is doing something similar.
1 unit per tile? thats gonna fail hard. How do we put multiple units on a city? can we mass large numbers of forces anywhere without taking 10 turns to get them all across a border? 1 unit per tile in a civ game would be a disaster.
Unless the definintion of a city is more than one tile. Then you are allowed to have Stalingrad type experiences.

I'm looking at it now, I can only view the opening 9 videos, when I scroll left or right the other vids don't light up and are not clickable. Have vids not been made for them yet?

That in turn leads to higher survival rates because we wind up treating some cancers at an earlier stage. It probably even saves some lives that otherwise would have been lost to the disease.
Michael, did you notice that while the NCPA is "a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy research organization," it is most definitely an ideologically motivated think tank? They are staunch defenders of classical liberalism, the intellecutal underpinnings of many modern conservative thinkers. They've got some credentials for rigorous research, but it is research driven by an ideological agenda. (Not a bad thing in my book, except when peop

Mike Moore definately puts a certain light on his subject, but to be fair he always seeks to hear the opinion of both sides of the story. And more often than not he receives no reply from "the bad guys", because they know he has them stuffed. I must admit, I don't know much about US public health care. I'm sure the staff are professional and like healthcare workers everywhere work hard for the health of their patients. I was particularily cranky reading that "90% vs 70%

I'm not sure I have seen much on this facet of gameplay.
