Worth looking at if you are interested in the game.

Gosh yeah, David Gemmell. His books are always action filled roller coaster rides of swords, axes and fell magic. Like Katherine Kerr not a complex writer but also like Kerr the books don't suffer for it.
I don't know about stacking the effects or what happens if the supposed borders are overlapped by enemy borders.
yeah, I've wondered about stacking too but to be honest never bother with the combat outpost upgrades as the flow of the game generally favors investing in mobile forces over static and relatively resource intensive for coverage outposts.
Perhaps someone can help me with the name of this series/book. I read it when I was a lot younger and I don't remember much, but what I do remember is that the central part of the book was that the characters were dying and being reborn. You followed them quite literally across many lifespans. One specific part I remember clearly (I was a teenager, give me a break) and that is when one of the characters has sex with some goddess or something
I'm almost at the point where I'll offer Val the $40 cost of the game so he can move on. [e digicons]v_v[/e] Seriously, its not good for your health to be so negative. Here is the all time pc games metacritic page that FE is on, it sits with some pretty good games (OT League of Legends scored 78?!?!?, the reviewers got that so wrong). <
If the game is made for multiplayer from the start thats fine, but this game was not and has a lot of things not suitable for MP.
The game also has a lot of things that AI is not going to be able to do and to see the best gameplay it would need to be human vs human. I do find it strange that people are saying that hotseat would be fine but online play not. Strange contradiction.
I agree with the person thats said I would buy two if MP was not included in the next dlcs, or updates. Multiplayer just dumbs down games such as these.
Check out Dominions 3. MP does not dumb down games.

Sovereigns I create but tire of I delete by right clicking on them and selecting delete. Nations I create and want to be rid of because they clog up the scrolling list I don't seem to be able to. So when creating a new sovereign I have to click the scroll buttons a lot until I find what I want.
The death worship ability gives the ability to transform any mana node to a death node. Death + Air gives a spell called contagion which does 3+1 per death shard poison damage over 10 turns. This is boosted by +% to spell damage. Against AI non resistant to poison armies (ie pretty much everything I saw) mid to late game the combination is unstoppable. With six death shards my champion was doing 30 damage per round for 10 rounds from this spell (but battles never lasted
Very true.
I really wonder if AoW was released today would people love it or would forums would just be clogged with negative feedback. Most likely people would love it and the forums would be filled with negative feedback :) I'm really keen to see where this games goes to, I do already fall in the category of players who love it. I'd like to see the wildlands theme expanded upon, already established neutral cities that are somewhat tough and can be captured or bribed into
The initiative systems based on different weapons does have its quirks, for example de-equiping the staff my mage starts with and equiping a +4 dagger asap to allow more spell casting. The non-magical dagger allows me to cast more spells due to a faster initiative. I think the idea of the weight affecting initiative solely through the light-medium-heavy categories more intuitive but would (barring the use of initiative boosting equipment) the initiatives of most units be the same? (thus kinda
When playing with auto endo of turn on if a city has finished production on that turn then the auto end of turn does not happen, as intended. However if two cities finish production on a turn you can give one of the cities something to produce and then auto end of turn occurs, stopping you from being able to set production in the second city until the next turn. Not a huge bug.
I've come late to this thread and am not going to read through five pages to see if my question has been answered, if somebody knows the answer and would put a quick reply then cheers to them :) How do people who got the game for free get DLC?
This game is great and Valentine82's criticisms show he doesn't even own the game. Only two factions? I'm gobsmacked at this statement. How many factions are there in the classic 4x Master of Orion 2? By your thinking one. And also "I'm a hardcore gamer, I've played strategy games from Knights of Honor and Europa Universalis to HoMM and Age of Wonders..." This game has more synergistic strategy options than any games of the Age
Part of this game is learning what you can face and what you can't. Mr Dark Wizard has a tower next to the city building spot? Now you know not to build there until your ready ;)
I blame it on the S7 pretender with a +2 penetration item being unable to land a single Mindhunt.... One-eyed giants may be comparatively squishie in melee but with the casters having a MR of 18 they laughed at my feeble Mindhunt attempts. Or maybe its because they have no brains and are just stupid! Ha! even in death I still land critical smack talk blows :) Hail Arcosphale!
Well, as sad as it is to say, Arcosphale is doomed. Too much time smack talking and too little time spent training has left the men of Arcosphale big in ego and poor in heart. And heart is what we needed. To the giant one-eyed cave dwellers, history will remember your cruelty and smite thee appropriately. To the other nations.... Farewell in around a years time.....
If you go direct server, remember to add a password to your pretender ;)
The men, women and children of Arcosphale thank the one-eyed giants for providing them with plenty of one-eyed giant meat for the winter, however we would like to say that we don't eat horrid things, so next time please keep your bags of meat (ie soldiers) at home. However it is cold this winter so please return those walking fires, they will be nice mounted on our walls. :)
Massive battle due this turn that will decide the fate of the children of Arcosphale. The ugly one eyed giants have killed a chicken and divined from its giblets that they must destroy all humans, starting with the proud men of Arcosphale. What barbarians! What savages killing a poor chicken with stats of: Chicken Att: 3 Def: 3 Protection: 0 Magic Res: 3 HP: 1 Enc: 1 Precis (from pooping from
On the contrary, Angelina Jolie welcomes all nations to send observers to view her latest reality series called, "Agarthan Captain and the World of Tomorrow". She's going to bring all her friends to the party! The denizens of Arcosephale, once peaceful under the reign of their Great Thinkers, have been corrupted by vicious television-and-movie hating demogogues. These so-called rhetoricians are proclaiming some nonsense
The dudes from Arcosephale want to know why the cyclopes tried to eat Odysseus and his crew? Not cool with that... Theres going to be a BIG rumble down the south east corner of the map, other nations for their own well-being are advised to stay clear of this area until the dust settles.
Your a noob until you win a noob-only game. I take it Tien Chi and Agartha are buddies. *sigh*
