But FE is really a whole new game, so improving a problem in FE doesn't fix the problem in WoM. I'd still like to see WoM fixed, not just forgotten for FE. This is cool. I wish I had thought of it. [quote quoting="post"] A big congrats goes out to xmorg who has won the Fallen Enchantress “Design a Trait” contest! Are the maps and terrain randomly generated? It sounds like FE is getting even farther away from being a empire building, 4X game; instead focusing more on the RPG aspects. IMO this is a mistake. I have yet to hear grand design decisions that put Elemental on par (strategy game wise) with Galciv2. There are many aspects to the landscape (including rivers) that could be changed or added to greatly improve the city planning and Civilization building aspects of the game. It's the thing that I think needs to be fixed the most, and it's being discussed by the devs the least...
I didn't bad-mouth your system...in fact I specifically said mine was much worse. When I said something's wrong, I meant with the game. Something's wrong here for sure. My PC pales in comparison to yours and runs EWoM flawlessly. [quote quoting="post"] Because frankly, it runs pretty poorly. The game slows down so quickly as to become very unplayable in a short period of time. This has become a deal-breaker for me and I finally uninstalled it today. From reading the forums, it seems like performance is pretty dire across many systems. My PC has a Windows experience ratin

It's a shame that you have to focus on warfare so much in the beginning just to keep up. I'd like the choice to concentrate more on magic, or improving my cities. But you really can't do that, or you get walked on.
RANDOM EVENTS! YAY!
I long for the old days, circa Civ II. That game came with a huge, inch and a half thick manual that covered every damn thing in the game. Now, Civ V doesn't even have a real manual.

Did you see the conviction and desperation in her tone, expression, and body language when she was pleading with Bastion? The way the scene was cutting back and forth between them makes you look at it quite differently when you watch it as an adult. But boy did she make him say her name.
