My game at the moment has gone from this issue to now crashing after the elemental Crystal Screen. It doesn't seem ot be generating any of the usual dump files, instead, it goes to the Microsoft error reporting screen. I haven't been able to get a longer file for this error, but the messages numbers that seem to be important are: Offset: 00422465 (In a first message)

Updated, this time get a crash after hitting "New Game" in the main menu. This time the debug.err file was produced. debug.err <a title="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5070559/Elemental0_804-2010-06-28T16-57-49-468.zip" href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5070559/Elemental0_804-2010-06-28T16-57-49-468.zip" target="_blank
Dropbox Link (the debug.eerr file isn't being generated in my documents/my games for some reason) As the title describes, the "old video game style" intro movie plays, ending in the "to change difficulty, press F3, to change number of players, press F5" screen. When I
Yea, it was a game that I enjoyed a lot, but do think it could have been improved significantly. (More stuff is written out in the google doc's links, if anyone is actually reading those at this point.)
Dangit, you "stole" my idea on using different "cave" layers as solar systems, planets, etc. :) In addition to the Urak future mod, I've been thinking up some details for a new MoO3 mod, in terms of a space and ground combat system, economics, etc., and if this idea gets more detailed, I'd be happy to share some of these if wanted. Peraonslly, I'd go for planets as the lowest layer, and use the planetary maps to allow for large scale g
I'm planning to have stealth in a mod, so hopefully it will be in the game in some form that can be modified in some way.
Since the mod beta may be coming up soon, might as well throw this out and see what people think. (I was hoping to save this until I'd been able to actually play some elemental and learn the mechanics, but it might be awhile before I actually get the game working, plus the changing mechanics meaning I'd have to wait awhile to get some finalized ideas, plus the upcoming influence on the mod beta make it seem worthwhile to get these ideas out now rather than later.) <p

This is to act on a suggestion I've seen a few other places on the forum, related to the problem in this thread: https://forums.elementalgame.com/379784
First attempt today was running it as usual with the new patch, it has crashed to desktop as usual. (I don't have the files for that, unfortunately.) The second try was in windowed mode. I have a single monitor, so the issue you describe probably isn't having any effects, but I tried it anyway. Still got a CTD. debug.err: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5070559/debug%2004-22-20
How do you play in windowed mode? (It might be something to try for me as well, in addition to fiddling with the video settings.)
"The crash descriptions"=a thread I started, if that's what you were referring to. (It hasn't gotten many replies apart from me posting the files, so I'm not sure at all what might be going on.) URL?
https://forums.elementalgame.com/379784

(At the moment, the menu is loading o.k., but attempting to click anything in it causes the thing to crash, including the new game button.) What a lot of people probably won't realize is that what seems like one bug can actually be multiple bugs all appearing to be one thing. So people should report their version of a bug regardless if it lo

Similar to the above, I haven't actually been able to get into a game for most of beta. (I've only been able ot start 1-2 games.)
Still continues to crash at the same point. (whether or not the fix was meant ot help with this issue.) debug.err: http://pastebin.com/bCBau3sq dump file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5070559/Elemental0_3-2010-04-15T16-35-35-15.zip
I'm almost certainly going to try and land a Lords of Magic based mod. (Not one that repeats the actual game, though, more like a mod based off a theoretical sequel to the game.) I also have a vague idea of how a multiple map system might be used in a space empire mod, which I might use to try and do a MoO3 based mod. (MoO3 is the only MoO game I've played, plus it's a chance to do it in a way it could/should have been done, not as it ended up being done.)</
I'm not sure if the Saturday fix was related to whatever is happening from the previous post, but the game still CTD's when clicking anything on the main menu. Pastebin for debug.err: http://pastebin.com/3nVZvJJc Dropbox for dump(?) file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5070559/Elemental0_299-2010-04-10T13-34-36-203.zip
With this patch, I have gone from CTDing immediately after the "press space or return to enter" screen, to CTDing when I click New Game or Option on the main menu. I hope to experience the joy soon of CTDing whenever I click anything on the map or interface in game. :) Pastebin w. debug.err: http://pastebin.com/FZQ2Pi46 Dropbox w. dump file (I think): <a h
Another person who thinks a "stability" oriented patch would be useful. (In my case, I can't play the game at all.), and it would stink to have lots of changes added in Beta 2 only for it to still not be able to play.
Tried again a few days ago, while deselecting the "protect user from unauthorized program activity" same thing happened. I haven't been able ot run it as an administrator (since other people have used it for other bugs) to see if that would do anything. (The computer was given by someone else, and I am not sure what the password is.) debug.err: http://pastebin.com/FAt7j8WE

I was able to use the "Add/remove programs" on the control panel to remove elemental, than reinstall it using Impulse (as I think was suggested in the earlier post.). The "My Documents/My Games/Elemental" folder was not uninstalled. When elemental was reinstalled with impulse, these folders remained unchanged. I tried deleting the "My documents/My Games/Elemental" folder directly, than using Impulse ot verify the installation. Verification again
Updating to the current patch did not help. I just tried to remove the program using impulse, thinking that perhaps the "add/remove" program window might not have detected these uninstalls/reinstalls properly, elemental has been removed from there as well. It seems ot have gone as before, where impulse doesn't remove the My Documents/My Games/Elemental folder or the Documents and Settings folder. What would I need to remove from the computer
