Considering the reliance in the single player of seeing an enemy unit and moving at it to start a fight, if they are moving away at the same time this obviously can't work the same. But then waiting on up to 16 people to take a turn would be far more arduous? I hope that it's simult
I'll try not to mention things that have already been mentioned alot on these forums (lack of diversity in spells/factions/units, AI to easy ect.)
You just did so you didn't TRY very well now did you? I also think the part about not being able to remarry is just another great part in eliminating a race/faction. I do this all the time in Tropico go after the entire family and wipe out the wife and children and this keeps revolts and rebels down. :) It also makes
The game is not ready for multiplayer, developers need to spend more time on magic, combat and technology before multiplayer should be even considered.
I agree 150% with this. Multiplayer should just be forgotten right now perhaps even a year before trying to implement that and have to deal with the screams of unbalanced unbalanced unbalanced of that part as well. They don't realize it will never be balanced and since the game is still so far out in
I think multiplayer should be put on the backburner until the main game is what Brad invisioned first. There's no need bringing in other unwanted elements to the game right now. Multiplayer was always an afterthought for this game and it will just start a new uproar about balance and more whinning and crying and boo hooing.
Please make sure it's for FANS of the game only and ban all those who post nothing but negativity about the game there. If you do this then I and my friends will post there. :)
Quoting Deleuzian, reply 293 No, seriously, I wouldn't be posting wisecracks at the moment if I was working for Stardock. In a thread where the CEO posts his everlasting and humble apology to the world. Dude, it's just a game. You need a better sense of proportion. By the way, do you even own Elemental, because your comments read a lot like someone who hasn't actually played it. [
There are best games of the genre like MOM of course, but, there are only 3 best overall AI and AI adjustment games. Those are: AOW:origional (you could set each ai to a different type of play from passive, to aggressive, to torch n burn to defensive and offensive or you could set each one to random and the game would pick a play pattern for them every game. Too bad the AI in AOW:O liked to build too many siege engines and run up and down the roads back n forth. HOMM
My 2nd week of 4 days off playing and it's still so much fun. Where did yesterday go to? lol
But they have made a big mistake here
No they haven't made a big mistake here, you just have a crappy computer that you want them to fix the game to work on. hahahah
Yet why do the latter insist on taking it personally and criticising the critics??
Because the GOOD must alwasy DROWNED out the bad. ;)) You can go with them too. :))
and those that can run it are constantly running into bug after bug, the game is broken and clearly unfinished.
Wrong! I can run it constantly without any bug after bug and the game is not broken and was stated it would never be finihed. So you are just trolling around like the rest of the trolls looking for your attention for today. Brad doesn't owe me or us anything. Besides he's already given what I consider an apology and made new promises of a better tomorrow
Oh the beauty of it. It is remarkable. It is in just too perfect of a condition to open. I will keep it for years and years unopened now. :)) I will be a millionaire someday.
I'll wait for the OFFICAL FIX since yours could be flawed and or screw up the game later on down the line causing things like slowing down of game or CTD's or graphics tears....things like that. ;)
I think they changed that in HOMM V Raruto.
Oh you might want to check out "Sword of Aragon" by SSI too. I had forgotten how good that fantasy rpg wargame was. Sadly it's a wargame story and everything pretty much plays out the same each time through it. But, i does have some random battles from random creatures while you're playing the main plot just to keep you on your toes protecting your homeland and rear properties. Since you can start out playing I think 5 different character types Barbarian, Knight, Ranger, Cleric and Wizar

Boring? lol I never found the battles for dominions 3 to be boring, nothing like watching 30 battle mages call down thunder and lightning all over the battle field decimating the enemy army, extra crispy. or watch the horde of undead
The OP is obviously not an EMPIRE BUILDER type. All games that are Empire builders run into this mid/end game routine with lots of units to deal with and lots of cities to deal with and lots of ai units to deal with and just LOTS OF THINGS TO DEAL WITH. Go play candlyland if you can't handle it pal. It's the way of Empire Building. Even the simpliest Empire builder out there "Empire Deluxe" is like this. Plus I don't get any slow downs on my computer playing into 300-400+ turn
Probably for me 1. Unit combat changes for the ai (needs more tactics instead of just rush in) 2. Less resources scattered around the map in the beginning. 3. AI Sovereigns having more guardians.
Well I'd have to say WARLORDS started it all then WARLORDS II then the III series which is truely the best and then finally WARLORDS IV with the 1.05 patch is really good now and the ai fantastic. Then came MAUDE or MOM as some like to call her. ;)) Best civilizationlike fatasy strategy game to date. Others tried to take the throne and the HOMM series was pretty good with II & III Age of Wonders first game was really good but they didn't add a random battle generat
Well hopefully they will see this and think about it. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing against my lil brother in 52 card pickup. ;))
Quoting Das123, reply 25 Thanks for the update Brad, but with all respect no-one from Stardock has ever commented or addressed what many have been saying since the beta versions that the races are boring and one-dimensional. You have listed the easier XML fixes (magic and research etc) but the whole concept of essentially just having a single model with coloured skin that players can dress up with items just doesn't
Well I've actually enjoyed the new innovations and the game. I can look past REDESIGNS as that's not what games are suppose to be about when released. I look at what it offers right then and there. While I might compare to other games of what it has and has not I'm not going to think or believe it needs to be like them. I've already played them so I wanted something different and I got it. Thank you Stardock et al. ;)) The game is certainly not empty and certainly not released untested. Some
Yeah that's usually the way with trolls. They come in on every new game and when people start ignorning them it's no fun to troll anymore so they leave and then you have the best of the fans left again. Looks like quite a crowd too. ;))
Yep stuff happens. The fail is that they released the game before the job was finished. The paid beta test has been extended without letting unsuspecting people know it is still in beta.
If you didn't know you were an unpaid beta tester who pays t beta test from 10 years ago then you sir have been living under a rock. Nothing has been hidden and only idiots would be unsuspecting of buying a new game an expecting it
