I played some WoM last weekend and found two bugs. The first is that while playing as Tarth the tower of hope gave me +10 prestige instead of the +1 that it talks about. Second, is the second group type supposed to give me 8 units? Wasn't it 3 -> 6 -> 9 -> 12 instead of 3 -> 8? I used a fresh download from the stardock servers for this game.

Woehoe! Only one more night to go!
Do we get healing units? This preview talked about paladins and healers. It would be an interesting option.
Magnar looks a lot more cooler!
Beta 3, just watched the first 20 seconds. The selection screen says "bloodline" in the race traits. Edit: Nice!
Can it then be allowed to attack people in your own borders without declaring war? They are trespassers and as my laws commands, off with there heads! (Or slaves if Magnar!)
This is an easy but outdated pdf with all the magic spells: https://www.elementalgame.com/img/Magic.pdf Most spells don't need research to unlock them. Most spells just need a high enough magic level as seen in the pdf or hierargamon. (I don't know the correct spelling of this one, strange word.) In the encyclopedia you can find all the spells, but not there requirements I think... For the problem of movement. I&
I suggest closed borders and treaties that allows one to cross some ones border for x turns, where x is the players/A.I.'s own choise. A.I.'s would only accept this if relations are high. Of course attacking while using this treaty should come to a major diplomatic penalty (-3 for this kind of attack alone).
Nothing new in this preview... http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/122/1222236p1.html
Im trying to play the beta now. It keeps crashing like the original. I think im about ready to give up on elemental. I still feel ripped off from the original Elemental. Worst $50 I ever spent.
You should better wait till the game is complete then. The current version is still a beta. So there will be problems for some.
Allowing closed borders would also be great. Now I've tried building long lines of outpost for closing my borders. But this is really hard to do on even medium maps. And before you know it, an pioneer breaks through and you need to declare war to remove the new enemy settlement in my newly conquered wildland/critterland.
Air and water are nice to have for 'gentle rain' which gives a 20% boost to food! :) P.S. Life is for kingdoms and death for empires. Most combi spells require level 2 of each.
https://www.elementalgame.com/img/Magic.pdf The list is not complete anymore, many things have changed. But it's good to get the idea.
April the first joke?
I was in the loading screen today for FE and I read about upgrading your units les they become dragon fodder. And then I went thinking, (quite a painfull experience,) what if I want dragon fodder? How could this work? The most obvious method would be that a unit could get a "taunt" trait that lets him use the "taunt" abillity. With this taunt abillity the unit can force another unit to only attack the taunter. Of course this could be hard to en
Many building have very long construction time (80-120 turns) its bug ?
From what I have read, this is normal. Seanw3 intended for buildings to cost more production to make materials at your settlement more important.
Hmmm... I can't get it to work. - I checked the file if the zero was replaced with a one. (Game\Data\English\ElementalDefs.xml --> 1 :) - I tried the -localdataonly in the desktop-shortcut and the shortcut in the game folder inself. Both didn't work for me. (Elemental - Fallen Enchantress -localdataonly) Does it even work? I'm wondering if they deleted the date in the game folder... :(
Dynasties where a major feature in Elemental: War of Magic. It allowed your sovereign to marry a hero and have children. These children would come into the game as heroes. You could then arange a marriage between two sovereign children (male with female) and then this would give a bonus to the relation with that sovereign. Also these children would get there own children. Sadly this feature was removed from FE... :'(
IIRC, you can marry, but not have kids in the current state
Hmmm... I just tried what Boogiebac said, but I can't find the marry button and don't see a dynasty menu. (With warfare, ledger etc.) I tried it with Mods on and off. I changed the .xml file. But alas, at no avail. Did I missed something?
I remembered that Boogiebac told us how to implement dynasties in FE. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm wondering who has. To quote what Boogiebac said: "Game\Data\English\ElementalDefs.xml --> 1 :". (minus the "-thingies.)
I bought Elemental because I believed in Stardock. Brad Wardell has not let me down, and he's not going to give us up. He is never going to tell a lie or hurt you. *sigh* Rickrolling myself here...
Looking at the poll, it looks like the lurkers prefer the outline at the moment. ^^
That after my last exame, my parents will like that. ^^
I'm not even going to look for the differences. Outlines are the way to go! It gives me that drawn to life, painting feel. FE is never going to be as realistic as Final Fantasy, so why not go for the artistic style?
