I like the idea of introducing MINOR wildlands into the game. They can be one or two ogre controlled lairs that have a ZOC, a few bandit camps or some such. Kind of like hostile city states, but I don't feel they need any special behavior or creating additonal units. They can be the exact same lairs and wandering monsters as we have now, just with a ZOC and area of operation. This would make killing monsters much more fun and r

I wonder if he listens to The Shins. Maybe he wants to protect his bootlegs of their concerts.
The text reads: "The commander who would engage this army in battle most posess..." should be "must"
"Arability" might be a more agriculture-specific term but it's more obscure. "Soil" might be simpler since the other number refers to "materials".
yeah, "Keeran's Hold" takes up a lot of real estate. The citizens of Tylan were pissed because their name was on the map first.

To delete those, as well as unit designs you can go into your Documents\My Games\Fallen Enchantress folder and there should be folders called Units and Race which you can empty out. I do this between each beta, I really hope they implement a button to wipe most of these custom things back to a clean slate, atleast for
what is it with this game and its dirty, dirty bugs?
this happened to me as well when my city was attacked but, luckily, I was able to save and reload and end my turn.
If you create 2 cities close to each other and at the same general "latitude", the text of their names will overlap on the cloth map. I wonder if it would be possible to have the text label of a city go above the city instead of below if there is a collision.
Maybe that's what happened because the enemy force only consisted of fire elementals and ignyses (fire snakes). And since my first icemages were able to kill off a couple, that might have been what caused Delin to fall on the strategic map. if that's how Delin is supposed to work then that's fine, I may just have to up the difficulty. Easy seemed harder in Beta 3 so that's why I felt something was off. However, it would be cool if Delin didn't bre
How about something along the lines of "let's collaborate on [magic/warfare/civic] research ( +25 magic research )" so it's closer to how people actually talk but with the numerical modifier in parentheses so you know how it will effect you.

You mean like your mines, shards, and food resources??? I think this is the solution as well. Treat rivers and forests like resources. If you want access, you should expand for it. Once it is in your zone of control, you can build it. But it has to be protected like your other resour
early pacing was fine for me in my first game on normal speed. I like the RPG-like stuff before the empire building comes. that said, maybe there could be a "quick start" option?
First off, love beta 4. Second, I was fighting some flame elementals and their health bars didn't seem to decrease when I hit them, I thought they might have insane;y high hit points or something (there was probably a stat sheet I didn't bother to look at during the battle). Third. Ok, I am playing on Easy but, I started to invade the burning lands with my sov, a fighter champion, some girls with ice staffs, and some ice spearmen, divided in 2 armies. I t
I thought spearmen were immune to counter attacks (at least with swords and such)?
Cam we delete that starting position that starts me out on a peninsula with no resources then?
I wonder if starting positions could by default be X by Y number of tiles with Z number of resource tiles, monsters, certain percentage of water tiles, etc...which are then merged with the rest of the continent. I think the serif fonts used on the buttons and headings look fine so maybe something like that would make the rest of the text look a little more consistent? Everything else looks great, btw.

I too like the "only sovereigns can cast strategic spells" idea. I, personally don't mind them learning other schools but what if champions had inherent bonuses (lower mana cost?) to the schools they start with, beyond just their level in that school?
I did always say only the "center" tile of the city should be where you "enter" the city, and the rest is just graphics to improve how the game looks, so you wont have the teleporting some people have a problem with.
