OK after some experimenting I got this to work on my end. What you have to do is do both and insert the internal name of the logo. Dagger Dagger.png Then <Preferred

If what mqpiffle says doesn't work then do you have all the needed tags? FE Xml data usually has tags on the top and bottom of the data like so. Dagger Dagger.png
You could paste your code. Do you have .png after the picture name and is it saved as a png file?
I believe the number of environments is hard-coded presently. You could change grass to snow but it would affect everyone who uses that environment. You can't make a new environment just for a single faction.
The information above is for adding a logo to an already existing faction. If you want a custom logo to appear in the editor take a look at... Stardock Games\FallenEnchantress\data\English\CoreLogos.xml again the custom logo picture has to be in the mods/Gfx folder and it's usually a better idea to not directly edit the xml files in \data\English. Instead copy any changes into a new file to be placed into Documents\My Games\FallenEnchantress\Mods
Buying FE will not get you LH for free. It gives you a discount though. I would just wait and pre-order LH. You might get into the Beta that way anyway.
I thought of suggesting a "safe passage treaty" integrated into the diplomacy screen, but the way the diplomacy mechanics work currently, the AI would probably want a small fortune for it....making it a useless option.
Non-Aggression pacts and Alliances allow you to do move through their territory, although they can be hard to get unless you plan ahead diplomatically.

Enchanted Hammers and Arcane Forge later gives you the production you need anyways, and Propaganda can give you gold for rush buying things. I'd rather have 2+ Essences than high production sites. Also, custom faction with scrying pool owns.
Indeed I like high essence spots. Build conclaves and tech for Revelation
To me this all means, “China holds too much American paper, the trade balance, the manufacturing capability, and basically has pwned us.”
This threat is always way overestimated. If China attempted to sell their American reserves it would have to be to someone and the market for US debt is such that it is highly unlikely to raise the interest rate on American bonds. In fact china is already attempting to sell American Bonds because they hate the fact that th
The current system for calculating yields has some weird quirks. Overall I like it but the yields on tiles right next to forests and rivers are odd. They have super high materials or food but usually no essence, not even if they are right next to a shard. Some adjustments might be needed because right now I never build right next to forests.
Another question is it possible to tie loot to a specific trait or ability? I want to create an ability that would allow units to use defeated animal units as mounts. So if my sovereign wins in a fight against an army that contained a hoarder-spider, as part of the loot I would receive a spider mount.
I don't think so. You can have monsters drop mount items on defeat but I don't think it can be tied to an ability.
Some more small bugs. -On hard difficulty all of Relias' units have strength, even if that gives them 4 traits. -After my spells are interrupted it seems like my champions miss a few turns.
I have a bug. After loading a game the clothmap and oceans disappeared. Restarting the program fixed it.
When I use the older and perhaps less updated computers on campus I also get this issue.
A oool interview. I love the idea behind Trog berserk. I feel my biggest problem with LH will be lack of opportunities to engage in the new tactical combat.
We include some ships in custom maps and in the scenarios, but no real naval game. Naval combat is good in a game about a nation, with advanced armies. But, in my opinion, it doesn't work as well in a game with such a strong RPG component. It doesn't work as nicely if your champions are on that ship that sinks, or
Thanks NaytchSG, I'm glad you liked it. I hope to get the next level out soon. As for bandits I've pretty much decided to give them Knives and Extortion, which gives them tolls and thieves guilds. Tolls replace consulates and produce 2 gold with no tech req. Thieves guilds are an upgrade to black markets. This will allow them to produce tons of gold at a slight unrest cost.
Is it a champion or normal unit item?
We plan to do more DLC. Here's some of the DLC I woulld like to see made: Spell Pack (bunch of magical spells) Quest Pack (bunch of new quests and events) Loot Pack (bunch of new loot and equipment) They're a bit time consuming to do but I think a lot of people would appreciate what they do AND understand why they're DLC and not part of the base game (which is half the battle on DLC -- you dont' wa
Yes traits that are available to every faction can be unlocked by techs. Or are you asking whether techs can give all a faction's units a trait? In which case I am not sure but I doubt it. Although improvements can give traits to all units produced in a city.
Thanks for trying it out NaytchSG, I'm glad you got it working. After examining the issues that cause normal games to be unplayable I have just come to the conclusion that the campaign data is imply not being isolated from the main game properly. Really data in the tags should not affect the main game, but it clearly does. Not a lot I can do about it, I think Stardock has to take a look at it.
Thanks for the reply Impinc, I wish you luck with your projects. [e digicons][/e]
Hmmm, did you read the readme and place everything in the correct place? The maps go in Documents\My Games\FallenEnchantress\Maps Secret_ElementalDefs replaces Campaign_ElementalDefs in StardockGames\FallenEnchantress\data\English\Campaigns. I will do some more testing but it worked on my other computer.
So the first promo level is a straight forward RPG level. I am currently working on creating the second level, which wil be a 4X level involving cities. I have created a custom race for this level. They are basically just the in-game bandits turned into a faction. I am however having trouble coming up with a cool faction ability for them. Right now they have Knife Fighters which switches their shields for off hand daggers. That's fine for tactical but I want something more strategic
Hey Impinc I have been using your awesome editor lately and one thing that would be really handy to have is the ability to combine or create artdef files for multiple races at once, so you end up with only one clothes file for example instead of one for every custom race you create.
I have found impulse buying pets to usually be a bad idea, but I wish you and your kids luck with them. Reminds me of the baby snapping turtles I find every once and awhile. So cute until they get big and nasty.
