The world of Elemental is an ancient one. Uncountable ages have preceded ours. You are Aedun the youngest son of a merchant lord of Capitar, and a scholar determined to rediscover the secrets lost when the Cataclysm broke the world asunder, and buried the empires of old. Your quest will lead you into the darkest corners of this world, among the long buried ruins of antiquity. So

Would you be willing to include Stormworld artdefs into your files if I sent you the relevant pieces? You wouldn't need to split it into two different versions of the mod, just add my defs to your own. People could then use SW with it and those who don't won't see anything odd.
Sure, I will take a look.

I have also been of this opinon for the last few years. True there are still some big sellers but RTS has been bleeding maket share for quite a while and the we have seen a total lack of innovation in this genre for quite awhile. Compared to any other genre RTS has seen far less change and new ideas.

I don't have the map pack myself, I have been super busy lately, so I can't test this. On maps with transports placed on them will the AI actually use them, and if so how? I would appreciate any details pleople could give me on this.

LH seems awesome but outside tactical battles it seems like the races will be even more homogenized with the cutting of several resources. You can't just have the races have different units, they have to have to play differently strategically as well.
Different environment

Although if you have the misfortune to pick light tan as a faction colour, it doesn't seem to show up very strongly on the leather armour, which is itself light tan in colour.
Every system has a weakness. That's not one I'm worried about.

There are obviously a lot of FE comparisions however you would have to compare it to LH and I think LH stands a half decent chance. I would not be surprised at all if this got higher reviews though. It just seems more mainstream and in your face. It's pics like those bottom 2 that make me want to gouge my eyes out ev

I take it current mods will be unable to work with LH, any chance the new game is going to have some upgraded modding tools and/or mod selection upgrades?
I imagine most the code will stay the same. Some small things may change and the more complex mods such as Stormworld and Affliction will need a lot of updating to reflect the mechanical changes. This is just an expansion not a rewrite. Not really? It's an interesting idea but I don't think you can place individual units in specific tiles. Also I don't think auto stunning would work. What you could do is use the map editor to make tactical maps with industructible walls for city sieges.

Currently we seem really limited in our ability to create new terrain. There doesn't seem to be a way to create new terrains that function like forests and have both 3d graphics and or 2d cloth map art. How this is implemented is up to the devs but it shouldn't require any UI or AI updates, although it might take a fair bit of coding. This is a rather large limit on our ability to expand the FE universe and I would like to see it changed.

Just a small idea I had. I have been thinking about how to get the factions to play differently strategically, so that they all have very different play styles. One of the simplest ways is to give them each a different way of getting a resource. Since prestige is so important and could possibly come from different sources I have brainstormed a system where the generic prestige from sovereign levels has been removed, instead each faction has a government type that decides how they amass presti

What has been confirmed is that it will better integrate the RPG and TBS elements of the game. Also some small pics shown by frogboy show slightly different graphics. Other then that nothing.

This mod changes a bunch of models and textures so that armor changes color more depending on faction colors and also look more unique depending on their race. Originally I just wanted to make leather change color but I kept

If you use the eraser instead of spraying on a specific color you can make the armor change color depending on the factions colors. I use Gimp to do this. It's free to download, and easy to use. This is an example of some of my work. The purple parts will change to be whatever the factions main color is, and the leather will change to reflect the factions trim color. Thus

I'm not that worried about the AI having super efficient build orders. I find that it does fairly well right now. The reason it loses is definitely because of its strategic control of units. It sends it's champions and sovereigns out alone into deathtraps way too much. It also builds tons of units but can't deal with players stacks because it splits its units up among all its cities and tons of small armies. It doesn't react to player's stacks well either. No matter

I have been working on something like this. On skins it's the transparent parts that change color. I run a eraser over the parts that I want to be mutable, and change the Opacity to change the effect value.
