Thanks for the Pale Moon links. I've been using it for a day now, and with a few add-ons I got it set up just how I like it. The only minor annoyances are that one (or several) add-ons seem to have disabled the 'notify when closing more tabs' check, and that the status bar changes color with the controls and tabs bar, making the UI look quite ugly in most cases. Also, I know this is a firefox thing but still, how pretentious is it to call skins 'personas' that you

The DLC's add area's that you can visit in the game, they're not separate scenarios. I haven't finished the complete game yet so I'm not completely sure about this, but I guess you have to visit them before you finish the main quest. If you have the DLC's installed correctly you should see several quests (Into the Pitt, The local flavor, etc) in your quest log. These will guide you to the transfer points to the new area's. Are you playing with mod's btw
Unit starts at 2nd level - Trained, Drilled , Hardened , Tempered , or Seasoned . Tactical spell that gives all your allies a bonus vs missile attacks - Protective winds or Barrier .
This all sounds great! [e digicons][/e] Question about the wildlands; does it stay a 'wildland' after it's been cleared/captured? What I mean is, does it remain a distinct area, or does it turn into generic land once cleared?
Nope, same thing with Vista
Pathfinder is useful of course, on the excitement scale though it's just slightly above +1 strength ability.
I know its not a 'this-guy-is-actually-a-half-titan-only-he-doesn't-know-it-yet-but-this-is-going-to-be-epic' kind of trait, and that was intentional. I quite dislike worlds/games where every character worth naming is actually some uber powerful supernatural creature. Where does that leave your '
W00T mine got picked! You're all just jealous [e digicons]:P[/e] Seriously though, I agree with Kadrium and Dsraider. These are traits that should be nice bonuses or ways to differentiate heroes, not game changers in and of themselves.

But now that it's been sold to a company with a less than stellar reputation (judging from the posts above, we don't have Gamestop where I live) I'll take your advise and wait at least six months. But I
This post gave me a bit of a nerd boner I have a question about those spell effects, can they also be made exclusive to critical strikes? I think you could make some really cool weapons with a special effect that doesn't happen every time...
So that is still a core concept of the game, it just isnt the first challenge a player will face. First the player has to cut his area out of the world, has to found his kingdom by doing more than just creating that first city. Explore your surrounding, clear the threats, start your empire. If you pass that hurdle then you can get on to meeting the other factions that have survived the same.
So do

This is just a thread created by Derek to show some of the creatures that (they're thinking of) adding to the game. Why do you assume that this is the most important thing they're doing? There is nothing in the post to suggest that. Normally I quite like your somewhat
You have a good point here, and a few nice suggestions. I really would like to see these kind of abilities on heroes, with some sort of class system. A ranger type hero would be more than 'pretty mobile guy who is good with a bow and decent with a sword', but he could also lead an army through a forest faster, or have them hide in it. Maybe only a small group at first, but a bigger one after he has leveled a few times. I'm not sure if I agree with you on the 'only killing blows grant
Damn you Dsraider! I was just about to do an update with a few more scraps I'd found, and there you go and spoil it! Seriously though, good find, thanks!
.....Now, we must ask ourselves, if this one step towards "epicness" is worth all of this effort which must then be diverted from all other changes. In my mind, it simply is not with these systems are already moddable for those wishing to undertake the effort themselves. Gamespot has a new developers diary video on their site , as well as a few screenshots and some artwork, all for Fallen Enchantress. There is still not very much confirmed about FE, so lets see what we can gather from these few scraps that we do have. 1) First up, this guy; <img src="http://image.gamespotcdn.net/gamespot/images/201
Congrats Tydorius, we/they've made a good choice[e digicons][/e]
I'll rant if I feel like ranting, thank you very much. And I was being constructive when I said "start from scratch", as I honestly believe that would be the best thing to do. I would change every 'arcane' building from producing actual arcane research points to giving a percentage modifier. The 'base' research points would be produced by the sovereign. So for instance a sovereign produces 1 arcane point per turn, but when he's in a town with an arcane lab he gets a 50% bonus, making

I like the smaller scale and more intimate control of your empire. I wish I still had that old moon-colony one....
Which games would that be? Because it doesn't have to be a city builder. Would you consider Theme Park & Theme Hospital Tycoon games? Because I had a lot of fun with those back in the day. Speaking of which, I came across <a h
To me buildings like this are just evidence that the economic and city building part of the game just wasn't thought through properly. They are presented as an alternative to spamming arcane labs/studies/workshops, but in fact they are either sub-optimal and therefore not worth building, or they are so good that you have to build them. Being able (almost forced) to spam these kind of buildings is just wrong in so many ways, and that's not considering how this makes even sm

As the title says, I'm looking for a fun building game, not necessarily a city building one. Some of the things I'm looking for are a somewhat complex economy, lots of building options, having to keep citizens happy, and a fun campaign mode, but these are all optional. Some of the games I've played and some remarks; -SimCity obviously; fun, but more of a simulation than a game. the lack of a campaign with some hard challenges makes it not very interesting. -Tropico; also qui
Sorry for the late reply, been busy again. What don't I find fun about the game? Where to begin... The game is just so shallow. There is hardly any strategy beyond getting the best weapon and best armor on as many guys as possible. Magic is, except for a few utility spells, pretty much useless. The world is boring and sterile, monsters spawning pretty much at random doesn't help. Heroes are all interchangeable. Being able (and forced) to spam research buildings is just wrong. Towns ar
