People have to realize that there are games on Steam that you just can't find anywhere else, all in one package.
What good is that realization? If you can't find it anywhere else, and you won't use Steam (for whatever reason) then you don't play those games. Oh well? The list of games (and movies for that matter) whic

Life sure seemed so much more simple when Brad and SD didn't give a crap about the MP community. Oh well, it is what it is. Good luck with everything Brad, but after seeing the messes here and over at Kerberos with the SotS][ release fiasco, and the tone of Martin over there, it's not bringing me any warm fuzzies anymore. Guess I'll have to look for the 'next' small development house/team/whatever and see

You responded to my repsonses to the posts of Draakjacht and boshimi336 near the top of this page neither of which had anything to do with STEAM specifically. It's not illegal because I passed the test every year. I taught myself from 4th to 8th grade and surpassed the state's expectations. I don't know what kind of social reinforcement I missed. My life is so much more rational and calm since I stopped buying games until after they've been out for a year (give or take a couple months). If only everyone would do this... hmm.... That might not work, or, it might actually force games to be actually finished products when they are released. Spare me the 'support and add ons', that's the bait to suck you in. Stop supporting unfi

Alright... I just have to admit it to myself, I simply don't have the time for a late game Dom3 nation right now. Anyone want to replace me? I can kibitz a bit, but finding the time to tackle these 2h turns is not happening, and I really can't do it piece meal because, well, I just can't do the turns that way :(

I got a stale, but I never got turn 54. Oh well,I can live with it. Though I'm kinda running low on time these days anyway, I'd look for a sub, but don't think that's so fair to the rest of you :)

Dell used to be the same, probably still are, but I haven't paid attention in about 4 years to it. Which reminds me... I'm due for a new machine in the next year or so. I try to keep them for 5-6 years, which is pretty nice actually, since I've gotten over the urge to always have the newest games anyway. When I do upgrade, I have 3+ years of 'new' games to pick through and see where they stand at th

Dozen turns to cure them? With the chalice it's almost instant, with GoH it's a couple turns (just for everyones knowledge, since I'm still willing to help with any questions). Though you also need to Gift of Reason them, which is another 12N or something. They get summoned, they get GoRed, and that's 2 turns for them to have afflictions taken off. If you're lucky they are ready to go at that point. Usually it's 2-3 turns

709 Replies 1,355,858 Views

Oh. well it's true enough that anyone can forge the chalice if they really put their mind to it. I can safely say that Tarts and the Chalice were not in my game plan for this game though. I adapted as necessary though, once I realized my initial strategy was going to fail miserably. And yes, saddly Tarts are kinda a default goto for Vanilla, in my other Ulm game (1.84) which played out not too differently from this one, in that I had no early wars (well

709 Replies 1,355,858 Views

Cheap access to the Chalice? I have no smiths with Astral or Nature, let alone both! I have no native mages with Astral and Nature on them either. So either I took it on my pretender (which I didn't) or I had to throw gems to empower someone to do it. It's true I do have GoH up, and it's likely from my research that one could assume I have const8. But it's not clear that I w

709 Replies 1,355,858 Views

A pity indeed. I doubt it had anything to do with the stale, but sadly it's impossible to know. In other news... Ulm feels the need to cancel all existing NAPs with all nations. This is not a declaration of war on anyone, just the reality that the race has entered the final stages, and the ability to quickly respond to any perceived threat is now necessary. Ulm is happy to continue diplomatic discussions and

Well, it's as I feared. Llama still doesn't like the new turn. This game appears to be broken, at least for me. Hopefully llama will be able to take a look at it and figure something out.

709 Replies 1,355,858 Views

heh... well 20th time is the trick I guess :p no clue, but it went Though I did get hit with a stale, and we're on turn 49??? Well maybe everyone got hit with a stale, weird glitch.

709 Replies 1,355,858 Views

Nah, I don't want to force anyone else to stale. And I don't lose any research (just don't get to change it), though I do lose a turn of forging and ritual, which is slightly annoying, but not crippling in any way. On the other hand, are we waiting for louist for the *next* turn anyway? Meaning we can wait and see if llama comes up with anything. In the meantime I've sent in another 10 turns from various places, but not

709 Replies 1,355,858 Views

Well, I've tried resending the old turns, but it didn't like them either. I don't know if there is a solution besides just having me stale.

709 Replies 1,355,858 Views

I wipe my directory. I get llama to resend the turn (it says 47) I do it, submit it, and 'wrong turn file'. I resend the last 3 turns I've sent in for this game and 'wrong turn file'. Nothing seems to make it happy.
