Hey Raven man, I'm sorry to hear you're not doing so well. I always enjoy reading your posts and judging by the posts above I'm not the only one, so I'm sure you'd be missed. So you just get better and keep posting, and perhaps we'll play a game of Elemental when it's finished
I'll already consider you as added to the "queue" then. Thank you, my friend. :)
I'd be willin

Wow, I can't believe I just now saw this. Must have missed it. That's a awesome group shot. Hopefully it's framed and on the office wall somewhere. [e digicons][/e]
Raven X, I want to thank you for taking time and effort to help make Elemental: War of Magic a better game for all of us. I think your list of possible candidates is excellent and well represents its current online community participants. You have helped make coming here fun and informative. I believe Stardock enjoys your insightful commentaries and general gaming knowledge also. You have a passionate and compassionate
Very Sweet!!! Even the AI will be "customizable". Love it :)
One AI promise from me personally to you guys
We'll hold you to that :P
LoL Sweet :) Looks like someone was paying attention when I pointed out the "Avernum" games a while back ;) That game does look awesome.
Quoting Wintersong: Hey, feel free to "customize" it as much as you feel that it's necessary. There are so many options that it's difficult to remember all (or describe them correctly due to language, sorry) and I was tempted to even include some screenshots. In game, you can in some cases reply to some of the e-mails that you receive from your contacts and must choose a style like if it was a conversation (this is not timed though). You can see the actual text of the e-mail changing
Hey Raven in your suggestion post, do you have a section for the options we want attached to the combat engine? I mean options like the ability to limit time of tactical, turn auto resolve on or off, meta-mechanic like options. Because it seems to me if we had a thread like" When it comes to combat what options do you want included" it might help the Devs build it. Example would be a screen at the very beginning of t
I agree, not every Hero/Champion should have access to Every Spell. Definitely not. That make's thing's a little too easy perhaps. If that can be done it should be a more powerful spell like something called " Magical Conduit " that literally allows the Sovereign to cast through the Champion . As for Champions/Hero, they should have to level-up and buy Spell Books (with experience + money etc etc) just like in every other game.
I understand what you are saying, being an old fart myself. If it makes you feel better, I am an older fart, at least in spirit. That said, it doesn't mean we are dead. There is always one more "rally around the flag". If this is important enough for me to come forward and give my free time that is certainly much less than when I was 20, then I have done my due diligence. While what I said at 20 may have been important, what I say now
Ugh.....32 years old here, can't recall those to save my own ass atm. I keep thinking back to the Leisure Suit Larry games..the Old School ones of course. Also the old "Space-Ace" and "Space Quest" pop to mind. I played so many old games back in the day.
[e digicons][/e] at Wintersong. [e digicons]k1[/e] That's more or less "Spot On" I'd say. You've actually gotten farther then me so far. I stayed up till about 6 this morning (last night). It took me until 3:30 or so to get it downloaded, might have been a bit later then that. Then I played through the Starting Training missions, Twice, up to the point where you first get to "Saudi Arabia" and get your first Safe-House. I'm going to start over a
And that is the conclusion of my thoughts on the matter. While it isn't a perfect system, it is a thought. And on a side note..RavenX, I've been a fan of yours for a long time, and agree with most of what you say, however in one of the other threads, where you took it upon yourself to expand the horizon of thought in an effort to give new ideas a chance to grow..You seemed a bit too timid. If it was your job to go over to Closed-Mind Street

But, at the same time, I'm also wary of arbitrary time or turn limitations to battles. So any idea made strictly to aid the MP cause at the cost of enjoying my SP experience will get an automatic thumbs down from me. You are actually in the vast majority! The fraction of people who play games online, even games like Demigod which were built as MP games with singeplayer as a sidenote is very small. Obviously MMOs and online-o
Raven I have to say... Out of all the posts I've read in these forums in my time as a Lurker... Yours were without a doubt my Favs. You speak your mind, Have good ideas, and Call no man mister. I'm not worried about you though... Your to badass to die. Just in case though... I'm going to recreate your being in Elemental! Raven X will live forever in my PC!
Wow...just Wow. You just floored
Ok, so sometimes Digital Downloads are good. When you feel like crap and it's late at night, I'll buy a game with a "DD". I just bought Alpha Protocol...I did this AFTER watching the Gamespot "Review" which says most of the aspects of the game suck but the Storytelling and way you Shape the Story are Awesome. Frankly, all these so called PRo "Reviewers" are Full of Sh!t. We all know that. I, my-self, think the game looks cool so I'm gonna try it out. If I'm feeling up to it, e
I don't mean to start you on quibble, but I think a major point if this thread was to determine what the rule would be that would allow defenders to win if the attackers didn't win. It didn't seem like a "timer" as much to me as a way for defenders to know how long they have to defend. I didn't really respond because no idea I can think up even sounds good to me. Should it be related to the distance each army is fr

Will Beta 2 be MP only, or will I be able to play around in single player? I get...well, with a new game, I get distracted fairly easily, and I don't last long in MP games usually. -N As per the 'Good News' Dev Journal here: https://forums.elementalgame.
I loved "Lords of Magic". That was the second strategy game with magic, monsters, etc etc that I ever bought I think. If I remember correctly it came with a Map Editor that was pretty awesome too.
