Agreed, hope there will be flying units. (or at least ability to mod that). Thanks for the find Raven X.
I'm just curious what peoples impressions are of this game? I've only seem a handful of comments and they seem pretty mixed. I have the game but I just started playing it so I don't have much to base an opinion on. Other than a few minor issues (hate hacking for instance) though I am enjoying it so far. I was hoping for WW2..damnit. Well, Shogun 2 might be good. There's a sentence there though that bothers me... "After the excesses of Empire, Shogun 2 is taking a Zen approach. Though the word "accessible" is often code for "plain," in the case of Shogun 2, it's clear that the designers want to maintain a tighter focus on the core elements and not give in to feature creep." Not too sure how I like the sound of that. I guess that depends on what they're calling "features" these
This strikes me as adding complexity for the sake of adding complexity. Essence and mana already control what you can cast in terms of spells, throwing arbitrary limits on what your champions can cast will just make it more cumbersome. (Especially since if you can pick the spells, people will just go for the best combat ones anyway.)
I have to agree I don't want to see " arbitrary limits " either, my friend. I would stil

Yes I intend to test under Beta 2 - Raven X If you oppose me, you shall be destroyed, and your lands and people shall be tossed to the four winds as grains of sand. You have been warned.
Beign able to design spell effect is something that I would never thought beign possible for the user. Designing maps, objects and tiles is a pretty common concept. The only thing left would be to have a monster editor which would allow you to create a creature without beign a 3D modeler. Maybe you can look at "the spores" for inspiration. It might not necesarily need to be as sophisticated, but for example I would like to be

Think about MoM. You had " Global Enchantments ". A lot of the times these were less like " Enchantments " and more like " Spells of MASS Death & Destruction ". When a enemy Wizard ( Sovereign in our case ) casts the spell, you get the option to cast a " Counter-Spell " or " Dispel ". In Elemental's case I think the player should have to research a " Counter-Spell " or " Dispel " to b

So is the WinCustomize website tied into all the other Stardock forums? I.E. I make a post here and it appears on all the others? I believe it is as I was told that not too long ago. Honestly, the problem lies in all these sites being tied together... Some-where along the lines is a "weak link" in the chain, I.E. a site with a bad or spotty connection. Not necessarily a Stardock server, but something connected to one of their ISP's along the "chain", some hardware another comp

It really is a Amazing Engine. :) What's important is gameplay, but, there is always the "OOhhhh, Aaahhhhh" effect that adds that little kick.
Psst.... Water ....not Ice ...Water. ;) Aside from that...I CAN'T WAIT!!! Man, this is going to be sweet.

Like maybe an AI who holds a grudge way too much, and expends an inordinate amount of resources just trying to get revenge against an enemy who killed one of his offspring many years earlier. This. Moreso than trying to make the perfect AI I would love to see lots of variety. Some that are super agressive, some that build super cities, some that foc

Your a lot more optimistic than I am....
Hehe maybe. The reason I say it will be better in a year is because of what I've seen Stardock do with Gal Civ 2. They constantly upgraded the AI. By the time the last expansion came out the AI went through a dra
