This is flat out wrong (and I've corrected this misinformation so many times on this forum that it's getting old). The campaign in Wings of Liberty is triple the size of any campaign in SC1, and has MUCH better production values and storytelling quality. The amount of content in total for single player is similar, only this version is better in every way.
I don't agree there my friend, and it being of better "Quality" is d
Quoting Raven X, reply 4 ...but when it comes to scripting in Python I know nothing, nothing at all. I hear it shares some similarities with C# and C+ though so at least I won't be "totally lost" as many of the functions should be similar. By all accounts Python is considered one of the simpler languages to use. I've done limited work with it a couple of years ago (wrote a backup utility for
I think there are several examples in the past that showed that the mods are more fun that the original game. I haven't seen one.. ever. DoTA might be a notable exception. If you're talking about FfH2, it's a very low production values mod (yay for stolen art from a bunch of other games).
Are you a Total War fan, Annatar? There are some INCREDIBLE Mods out there for some of those games, like the LotR M

Well that sucks. My GTX 280 is made by BFG and I have a "Lifetime" warranty through them. If my card ever breaks they Better live up to that warranty. I already had to send the card back once less then 6 months after I bought it, but it's been fine ever since (that was a little over a year ago).

Well, there's PLENTY of buzz going on all over the web about the pirated release of Starcraft 2. I haven't tried this for my-self, so I can only speak on what I've read on various web-sites, which I will Not post links to here, but I can at least talk about what I read. Apparently the pirating group known as RELOADED has already hacked SC 2. Normally when games are pirated they loose All multiplayer functionality but this appears not to be the case with SC 2. The pirated copy doe
Actually I'd say that depends on the modders knowledge level, whether or not they have help (staff), and if they can afford the software/tools to do the job. Considering a "Legal" copy of 3DsMax costs around $400 and that's just a basic program that's needed for doing quality work, there aren't going to be

I pretty much agree with everything you say. One point of concern though, don't throw so much on us modders. The game's by no means anywhere near complete, nor will it be for a few years....and it's up to Stardock to Finish It, Not Modders. We'll have plenty of modding to do though, no fear there ;) I also don't have any concern about the release date. Bring it on!!! :)

I love the Medic chick units. They have a tag line from Star Trek Voyager. They do the EMH greeting if you click them enough, and the cars with the Flame Throwers do Beavis and Butthead...LoL. A lot of easter egg sounds in this one to pull out.

Did you guys see the 3rd episode of the latest season of Futurama? They spent a Whole Episode making fun of the iPhone and Apple....RofL. Man it was funny as hell. People seem to be downing the newest season as not being as funny as the first 5 seasons, which I don't know why because the new ones seem to be just as classic as the other seasons if you ask me. More so because they're making fun of things that are actually relevant Today. Great stuff.

It has been stated that they want to be able to tie resources to cities.. I am not sure if this is going to be by neare
Raven X, has it been explicitly stated, yet, that a Buildings bonus, one based on a Global resource, is only effective in a city that produces that resource? I always ask myself that when I select my Town Level up Bonus. I am under the assumption that since, say Gold, is a Global, and I select a 20% Gold bonus for City A, I get the 20% Global bonus regardless if City A has a Gold Mine inside it borders. I love the idea of s
Raven, it's the Impulse Tray Application that sits in the system tray/hidden icons area. Impulse itself doesn't go there. You'll need to turn on the tray app (should be in the start menu) then tell it to stay on.
Wow...that's annoying. So either I have the tray icon on All the time, whether I'm running Impulse or not, or I have it minimize to the task bar? I think someone somewhere needs a pay cut... Good looking out on

This game is looking Really Impressive. It's got Sin's graphics with the depth of play of GalCiv 2. To me, that's the ULTIMATE combnation needed for a Space Strategy Game. Unless SD does GalCiv 3 as their next big project, this is going to be my new game of choice as far as "Space Empire Builders" go.

Any idea on whether or not Impulse will be fixed so it minimizes to my "Hidden Icons" instead of taking up room on the task bar? That would be real handy, especially since everything else I run minimizes there when I hit "x", like Yahoo, Skype, Viper, etc etc. When I hit "x" on Impulse it closes it off instead of minimizing to the hidden icons area.

Some of them are in the file structure already, such as some types of armor. Off Topic: otaku, is your Avatar the kid from "Home Improvement"? One of my ex's from back in the day was obsessed with the kid and I think she had that pic on a sticker or something.

For Player C, his goal is not to win, but just to make Player A lose. Further Idea: There shouldn't be anything stopping more than one guild from working in the same city. If both the Miners Guild and the Blacksmith's Guild were to be in the same city, that city would handle both Ore Extraction and Weapon and Armor Production both in the same city which would be built near ore deposits on the map. As for the cities buildings, they would mostly consist of mines and blacksmiths with minimal other types of buildings in that city. To further expand

I borrowed a page from Spitz and Frogboy's conversation in another topic and came up with what I think is a pretty good idea incorporating what Spitz has in mind plus something useful for Guilds to do that Also allows us to better Specialize our Cities. First, here's what Spitz said: Quoting Spitz: How about a soft limit on the number of available tiles for building? If you build beyond the soft limit, there's the risk of incurring a penalty. The available number

Oh yeah, the chick who pulled out the cloth map was pretty hot too. If I was a millionaire who owned my own game company I'd stock the place slap full of hot chicks too, if just for eye candy if not anything else lol.
