Get em...teach em they can't kick an Indie around!!! Yes, Brad, sue 'em. I shall represent you guys in court. Although I have no degree in law, or have any legality skills, I feel that my days of watching Judge Judy shall pay off. <b
Tomorrow. Beta testers get it early tomorrow, Pre-orders get it midday tomorrow. Everyone else Tuesday.
Sweet :) I still haven't gotten an email though :( (saying we'll get access) I did get the ones from sales though telling me beta has ended which was why I didn't see my purchase in Impulse. So us beta testers will get it tomorrow, being Sunday, night? (just to make sure I got this right)

Anything that has a flying animation in game can have the "Flying" trait taken off a true flying unit and modded onto it. Making a structure that you can recruit those units from in game is ridiculously easy. Frogboy even shows us how in a video dev journal he did a while back. I'd say a Mod with recruitable flying units will be out within the First Couple Days, not even a week. I could probably do one on release night if there weren't so many other things I'd rather mod in first :P G

Reply to Python and SDK in WOM Mods
I guess it depends on how they are going to allocate their resources. I imagine migrating everything into Python will be a pain in the ass (not difficult, just tedious).
This is true. Also as we do know they Do put a high importance on modding and for us to have the ability to make really good mods. I'd guess they'd have the resources we need ready for us at about the time Frogboy's Mod comes out. See, they have to ho

I can just barely see it.Said by someone who likes to highlight his text with red... Just darken the yellow a bit?
Where there actually games on Dragonlance? I just read the original 3 books by Weiss and Hickman which were translated in dutch last year (25 years later??) I actually read books 7-9 (after the cataclysm with Tasslehoff traveling forward in time) about 8 years ago wondering what they were all talking about because i never had the opportunity to read the earlier books. The 4th book (legends) just came out and i

Reply to Python and SDK in WOM Mods
Will the final release include the SDK and python part of the modding possibilities ?

No. Eventually things will be migrated over to Python, but initially it won't be present.
I'm really, Really, hoping it doesn't take them forever to get us the proper tools we'll need. There's a large chunk of the Dragonlance Mod I simply won't be able to do without the ability to access the Python

Reply to Preloading? in WOM Support
I think preloading for a prerelease is a bit rich TBH. Originally they were going to be releasing thursday with a preload, but they've decided to allow the preorders to get to play earlier instead. So think of the Monday release as a pre-load with the added benefit of being able to play
Sunday Night, Sunday Night!!! Don't make us wait till Monday!!!

I'm hopeful that the models you guys develop for Dragonlance will be available for me (and others) to utilize in other games/mods. I'm eager to build a campaign around a personal setting that I have but alas I'm not a 3d Modeler.
They will be. We'll be releasing Model, Skin, Map, and Character Packages along with and before the Mod's release. This project is going to take a while to do as we'r

I need Python scripters for the mod worse than a Ethiopian kid needs a bowl of rice. As a valued employee, what sort of benefits would I be likely to see? If it makes you any happier, I don't actually know python at this time. Only C, C++, PHP, ActionScript 3.0 and bits of Java.
Did

AoW:SM really was pretty terrible game mechanics wise. It looked nice, and had a decent though not overly impressive story line. A better comparison would be to Wesn

When I purchased my up-grade months ago I was charged just the $20 by its-self on my bill as I already paid for the original game. I'd say there was a error somewhere or you clicked the wrong circle by mistake or something. Right now though purchase history through Impulse isn't showing where Anyone has bought the original game because the keys are disabled because of the beta being closed and them preparing for release.
Quoting TheProgress, reply 14 I had plans to expand diplomacy, re-balance units, re-work the basic unit stats (str, int, con, etc), change how economies worked, add a paper-doll inventory / equipment system similar to Diablo 3 and (if possible) create a "treachery" mod allowing heroes, wives and dynasty children to betray their sovereigns if poorly treated. That does sound fascinating! Find some

Impulse will allow you to "Archive" a local update on your work computer. Provided your work computer has a burner attached to it and the available hard drive space you could make a "Archive" on your work computer, burn that Archive to disk as it will have the latest patch applied, then take the disk home to patch your offline game. I'm not going to say you won't get fired for using a work computer for private matters though, so, do that at your own risk. If you take my advice, no job

As Awesome, Open, and Honest as Stardock is, I don't think even They would come out and say "Yes there is a Game Breaking bug that we're aware of and working on." this close to launch. I don't think any game maker on the Planet would do that. Game makers often count on making as much money as they can from the initial release of a title. Once word of mouth or review sites put the word out that a game has "Game Breaking Bugs" customers tend to avoid the game entirely or wait (possibly months)

Having Not played the Campaign in any shape or form I can't honestly say. However I would think the first stage or two of the Campaign will be the "Tutorial Stages" that really teach you how to play.

I was invited to the online beta for this months ago. I went through the process of registering and all that and downloading the client but I never had time to play it. If it's any good let us know. HoMM was a decent game back in it's time.
