It is LOADS of fun. It's like Grand Theft Auto taken to the Extreme. The grappler is tons of fun too. Have you tried tying someone to your helicopter yet and flying off? lol it's hilarious. There are some seriously sick stunts in this and blowing crap up is really satisfying. I'd say it's worth the 60 bucks depending on how your cash flow is. The only way it doesn't compare to GTA is in it's storyline. Some of the voice acting leaves a lot to be desired.

I think the line where "Emulators" is involved is somewhat blurry from a legal standpoint as many of them are in fact legal. Look at "M.A.M.E." which stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulation. Many old arcade games are considered free-ware after something like 10 or 15 years. Also, arcade games are not "kept" like console and PC games are. In fact without Roms of those old arcade games some of them would have been lost to history now as even the companies that made them no longer exist. In
The people at Cryptic really pissed me off with this one. Thank the gaming GODS I didn't buy a lifetime subscription. STO does have a few good points, but, that doesn't make up for how much of a let down the rest of the game is. I made Admiral in less then two weeks WITHOUT using any kind of exploits or cheats or anything like that. That's right....I Maxed out a character in less then two weeks through normal play.... This is NOT one of those MMO's where the "fun starts at End Game" either.</
I downloaded this the day it came out but I haven't installed it yet. I made the mistake of re-starting Dragon Age a few days before the expansion came out and I had to catch back up on that which slowed me down on a couple new releases. The Good news though is that I slew the Arch Demon and I'm about 1/3 of the way through Awakenings. After that's done though I plan on giving this a run through. Sounds like it's a good thing I'm waiting while I finish Awakenings so they can put out a bu

That looks awesome. I can't wait to start cranking out good miltiplayer maps. Back in the day I would work on maps for hours for Age of Empires and Age of Wonders. With everything the Elemental map editor can do I won't have any problem at all making a map of Krynn from Dragonlance either :). Oh, the name of the continent you played on in Ultima 3 was indeed Sosaria. Good memory.
[quote who="Nick-Danger" reply="78" id="2576663"] @RavenX -- the first year or so of UO was truly a great time. The game was very 'rough' (exploits, asocial behaviors, bugs, patch problems -- don't play on patch fridays until the patch was reverted and fixed! -- etc.) but it was a 'magical' time. I remember when GMs were actually helpful (the 'I can't help thee with that' change was truly a sad day). Raph et al did a good job. UO showed that the ability for some

Balancing is something that needs to be done in multiplayer since the AI clearly poses no challenge yet. Balancing things out right now is a wasted effort since the 1Z build is not the final build. Wasting effort to balance the few things we have right now is something we may as well not do yet. You can vote yes. You know you want to. It needs not your 'Raven S
Hmmm, I have a question. (maybe a stupid question) When we get done with the Final Beta will we have a finished game and downloading the release version will just be a formality or will there be a lot of content added between the final beta and the release version? I would say in order for any stage of beta to move forward all the content relevant to that "stage" needs to be in game and working as intended, tested for bugs, stability, and balanced. From what I've seen in the beta's a
I found out back in the day while working at Origin that companies indeed DO hire people who's only job it is,was to make the competition look bad. Origin's people were really good at it too....I mean like, scary good. Kinda sad that people get paid to do this.
I vote that you name some of the Chamions in game after some of the people here on the forums :) . That would be a real treat for us beta testers ;)

[quote who="Aractain" reply="15" id="2566727"] Quoting TucoBenedicto, reply 14 You are just jumping to conclusions. Announcing new stuff for february 2011 doesn't mean it's going to be an actual sequel. In fact, I'm ready to bet it will be more likely a second big expansion, like Awakening. I was also thinking about this. Is this really going to be "2"? (does anyone actualy have any real info other than
Guns? No. Cannons? Yes, but only on ships and fortresses/castles. Let us all keep in mind that "Alchemy" and "Magic" go hand in hand especially in Fantasy/Fiction. What most people don't realize is that "Alchemy" is a real science and it was Chinese "Alchemists" that discovered gun powder. In fact the Chinese had gun powder long before there was metal hard enough to make a working gun with. Also, Cannons were invented Long before hand held mobile guns were. To close, I wo

The rest of the year was spent on polishing and testing etc. A month or so is needed for printing copies etc. Awakening has likely been in development since autumn or so. Even if DLC and expansions are done by a smaller team, i don't think the rest can make DAO2 within 1.75y. Sure, t

I'm talking about the quest content, the story and stuff. The feel of the world - the important stuff. For ME sequels, It feels like a shooter so I don't really expect that much more than a plot, some shootery bits and some 'hot space chicks'. I expect quite a bit more from games who are r
Well, here's hoping the entire world system crashes and burns. Then the survivors shall build a new Humanity that doesn't need people to carry "Identification Papers" like this was Nazi Germany circa 1933. So many things in life today are built just to make governments and businesses more money. Just in order to get a car on the road today you need a mountain of paper work. Why? The whole thing can be simplified. If you can't prove that you could pay for the damages if you got into an acciden

Everyone set the countdown clocks. Dragon Age 2 is under development and will launch next year. The official date so far ( who wants to bet it gets pushed back? ) is 02-01-2011. I stopped by GameStop today to pick up my copy of the new Dragon Age expansion pack, DA: Awakening, and in it is a flier for Dragon Age 2. It has a picture of the Dragon Age logo but it's turned forward so you can see the Dragon from the front with 2 wings spread to represent DA 2. I really hope they do a

There needs to be something that allows someone say up to age 20 to be able to have a sexual relationship with someone 2 years younger than them.
