I'm not sure what you're getting at here, except for asking for a "build your own enemies" tool, which is sort of reasonable, but to achieve the best results, custom factions will always require hard work in the form of original modeling and scripting.
Actually I'm not even asking for a build your own enemies tool, you can already do that. When it asks you to "add a faction" and you add your own faction you can add in
1. I don't want to spend a long time "making" my enemies when I first start the game. I'd rather just hit play and be in the game after a cursory build-my-own-sov. Obviously there is a need for default races you can just click and drop. 2. In your post, you say that every game will be the same if there are default factions. Later, you say that in GalCiv, the factions you created, the Borg and the Wraiths, some

I just meant people should take some time to see the big picture instead of thinking because there will be customization there Won't Be deep standard Factions. The standard factions will be deep enough to drowned a elephant. Hell there's alr
Isn't people complaining that they want Static first and dynamic in expansion packs (modders better because they are free)? Also, if you create the race... aren't you knowing how it's going to behave? (I gave it Terran Diplomacy AI mixed with some Dregin war attitude...)
Gal Civ 2 had a different style of story and gameplay then Elemental. Even in Gal Civ 2 though, some races that hated each other Always hated eac

Here's the thing. After a couple of games of GalCiv 2, I ended up making all my own enemies to fight as I could make them more challenging and fun to fight then the standard opponents. Not to mention what I modded in. Using the games "Custom Ship Creator" though I was able to recreate the ships of all my favorite Sci-Fi races to fight against. I fought against the Borg, the Klingons, the Empire from Star Wars, the Asgard and Wraith from Stargate, and a few others. I had way more fun doing thi
You misread that. The current model would change all your cities to your faction, and the new model would create mixed populations.
I'm pretty sure he ment take over a city and it's population stays what it is. Now considering you made your native population at your starting city, you now have a city of a different race to use and make units from, but they aren't mixed. I'd almost garantee that's the way he ment
I Very Much like the idea of making our own Races. I love it in fact. This part though bugs me...
So even if you made a race of those Avatar blue guys, when you capture a city from Pariden, the city would remain populated by Men. You would then be able to created a mixed army where they all have their strengths and weaknesses and visually look different. So you could create a true “Last Alliance”.
The way you de

Well, the Dragonlance Mod will have a super enemy that will be unstoppable if left unchecked. Takhisis and the Dragon Armies. The Ancient/Ultimate Powers that can stop them will be the Dragon Orbs and the Dragonlances. It would be cool if vanilla Elemental had some kind of Ultra Rare quest event that could be a super/evil/world ender type of thing. Elemental will already have Ultra Rare quests that can give a good event (Frogboy's Diamond Golem Rare Quest that might happen every 200 g
Yep..even tho I didn't bought Spore, but if this will be possible, I will buy it. They gave out the Creature Creator for free a good while before the game came out. It
Maybe I will buy Win7 sometime, but it's kinda pointless if my tweaked Vista works like a charm.
This is true. I wouldn't spend the money if I didn't need to. Between XP and the changes made to Vista and then Win 7 there's a lot of differences. Aside from some improvements there really isn't all that much change between Vista and Win 7. If that version of Vista works good for you then I'd use it until I had no choice
Ok, I did my Order Upgrade tonight. I saw something odd though. When I logged in to make the upgrade it added the original game to my cart as well. I went back and checked my previous orders and I was indeed already billed for the original game so I removed it from the shopping cart and only bought the upgrade. When I go back and look at my purchase history now it shows my purchase of the game last year and my purchase of the upgrade tonight. So I did the right thing by taking the gam

A professional reviewer needs to keep his or her personal feelings out of a review if they are to be a impartial judge of what they're reviewing. I often can't or won't do that and my reviews show fo

Win 7 is amazing in comparison though. It did take me a little while to get used to the slightly newer configuration and they tended to hide a lot of the useful things but mainly that was so peop
Thanks, Raven. I've tried taking it apart once(I do know what NOT to do basically) but I stopped when I started having trouble getting the back casing to cooperate. I think i inadvertently did something to the mouse too, because now the left click side will only click if i press down on the far right, where it used to work all the way across. May have to fiddle with it till I get it open to fix that. Though if $5
