Well Pirating will become the HOLYGRAIL of gaming in those days for sure. No way in hell i,m gonna be able to afford that nor would I ever be willing to pay it. They just don't seem to get it that the harder they push the more people will turn to the illegal pirate sources because they simply cannot cope with the financial burden.
That's more or less it exactly. People have to pay for their cable/ISP. Then on top of that t

The first GW was as much a MMO as the first Diablo... MMO-Lite is more like it. One city in each area where people meet and group up, everything else will be instanced to handle Small Groups of players, maybe 20 at most. Think STO and you get the idea. Not a good MMO in my eyes. To each their own though, hope it turns out well for those who want it.

OnLive has partnered with UK telecom company BT to bring their streaming service to the UK, the cloud gaming firm announced today. Read the article Here . With this deal, plus being packaged with an ISP, OnLive is going to take a CHUNK out of European gaming come launch time. Maybe it's just me but I see Europe as a smaller area which may be better laid out with the proper "wiring" to handle

Build 2 foundries and the mine is producing 4 per turn. Build 3 and its producing 8, build 4 and its producing 16, build 5 and its producing 32, build 6 and its producing 64, build 7 foundries (only 1 space each) and you have one iron mine producing 128 iron per turn.Making it multipli
[Gameplay] i think it would be cool to able to create your own "monsters". i detail this idea in this thread. https://forums.elementalgame.com/382183
That's great Stmorpheus, just like that. If you can though in the future, put it in the "Title" of the thread when you make the post. No need to go back and change your other ones, just for future reference. Hopefully people will actually glance at this

Hmmm, here's a quote I find interesting.... " Elemental appears to have an interesting twist on diplomacy, with the addition of things like the "family" system. What can you tell us about that? We’re big fans of both Tolkien and George R R Martin’s Game of Thrones. In both cases, the effect of familial lines (your dynasty) really matters. It matters in terms of producing powerful heirs and it matters in terms of arranging marriages and such to

I've got CS4. Honestly I can't afford the upgrade right now and I haven't had any jobs in the last year or so where I needed it. Every now and then I pick up a job doing those annoying Banner Adds you see all over the place and that's the last time I used CS4. Do you think it's worth the upgrade? Also, would it be worth it if You were the one paying for it and Not Stardock? :P
I think what's actually happening here is they believe in essentially "Empowerment/Power by Right\Birth" or (to steal the hell out of certain things) "Peace Through Conquest" So instead of being heavily reliant on buildings to provide their resources (IE Knowledge) they rely on strong willed, powerful individuals to bring about the will of their lords. They don't need to teach the common, filthy, powerless masses to do ma

I understand the concept of making the Empires feel different from the Kingdoms, but this seems a little...I don't know, limiting? Maybe I'm getting the wrong impression but it seems to me the Empires (if they follow this outline) will all be war-like, which isn't a bad thing necessarily, but would lead to them all playing the same with little distinction between them. Maybe I'm jumping the gun on conceptualization, it just looks that way to me. It does sound fun though provided they

Ouch, man, bummer. That sucks, sorry to hear that. Future Idea: you should keep a separate file with master copies of all the files you change (before and after changes), then copy the ones you want and put them in game after being modified.
@ RavenX, I'm not disagreeing with you. I do think some people resort to "methods" to play their purchased software. I guess I just felt your previous statement that most people complaining were doing so because they'd paid for their software and now because of living in the sticks couldn't use it was incorrect. Further, I find it interesting that it seems with software people are ready to make a much
So Rapidshare feels they have no responsibility to verify the validity of what folks upload? Since a valid copy or release of any application, game or software is available from a site that is authorized to release it, what purpose does Rapidshare serve?
Silly me, I always thought it would be great if services like Rapidshare never even existed!
Maybe....maybe not. There are Plenty of LEGITIMATE USES for file-sharing and file-hosting services. Just look at how we submit bugs for Elemental for example. We use FogBugz and Pastebin which could BOTH be used to share copyrighted material. I could easily copy/paste a whole book in there and upload it for free for the whole world to read

Actually the term "Not Guilty" isn't accurate. They were found "Not Liable" for what people may or may not upload. The people who need to be held Accountable are the people uploading copyrighted material. Not the people who invented the system they use to do that. Should Gun Manufacturers be held responsible if someone kills someone with one of their guns? NO, of course not. People kill People WITH Guns. Guns can't kill people without SOMEONE to pull the trigger. The same applies here an
