Hey you all. There are so many si fi shows mentioned here that i have never heard of. And I love sci-fi. i watch all the shows that end up on hulu tv. Are all these on cable TV? IS that why they never appeared on my radar? Any way, besides getting the DVDs, to view them.. and see which ones I like?

I agree with so much of what the poster wrote. I suspect the main reason for making aliens look like humans has three parts: 1) the increased cost of the costumes, 2)the cost of time getting in and out of costumes, and 3) the additional layer of the viewer having a more difficult time 'reading' the facial expressions and body language of aliens that look, well, alien. While i don't agree with all aliens looking like humans, I suspect money is part of the reaso

Like #2 reply says, its an old bug, been around for along time. Also affected seeing 'coast' spaces. I suggest switching back and forth. Its a pain, but sometimes the scenery is interesting.

Ah, the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.. unfortunately, regular people have to earn a living.. so don't have as much time as agri-corps have, with their full time, paid 'lobbyists, and members of congress, and members of watch-dog groups that are also members of monsato, and other Agra corps...... as long as banksters ahd uber-corp, uber-rich have control of economy... and can trick right wing Christians into voting with them, democracy will continue to fade...

Breaking news: Sources close to the Peace ministry near the Smurfette's Palace have heard rumors. The only thing all the rumors agree upon is that a jarl scout was attacked by marauding flying beasts. "Aye, my lord," an attendant of the scout who was on the scene said, "we be just mindin' ou own business, and orderin' a we bit o' take out from the chicken roasters, and 'estead, we see thes flying things.. agree with sarath 01 i am beginning to feel 'old' lol. i remember reading asimov, when he was a new writer, and seeing star trek, with the first interracial kiss ever on TV, and 'communicators' etc. Now its all passe. men on the moon, instantaneous com links, 3d TV and holograms, artificial limbs, and face transplants. Bu, while 1984 has arrived about 25 years late, there is hope. but, the weird

its interesting that the right of center parties in almost every 'democracy' are chanting the same mantra right now. lower govt expenses (social programs, NOT military) and reduce the public debt; and continue to reduce any remaining taxes on the uber-corporations and the uber-rich. After all, if the public defaults, the uber-plutocracy wont get its billions of dollars in interest. Chattel, surf and peasants we are. begin rant >

Yes, sad to say, but master of magic is still a better game than EWoM. Funny thing is, if they ported most of MoM into EWOM, and used EWoM graphics, well, what an awesome game. BTW, while the random house connection is ncie, i am sure it costs. why not let the fans write the stories?

Actually, I prefer the more rugged 'polar bear' and 'grizzy bear' brands over 'panda gas.' They just make a more robust oil and gas product. Besides hydrofracking will pollute the water tables with unknown (to the public) 'proprietary' chemicals so the bears ware better off as petrol anyway.

ah, OK... i rebooted, and all is fine... was just a glitck, I guess.... but I will file away all this in my memory, if it ever happens again. Thanks all.

Perhaps so, but given the number of really nasty dining habits some sentients have, death gems as supositories might be the lesser of two evils. BTW, i won't use in game messaging anymore, if that is the way the players feel.

Ah, i considered that, but was afraid if it was a worm or root virus. i would then entrench it... will try reboot. thanks

I just had a strange, to me, change in my Win Xp. When I ended my turn in Doms3, and went back to desktop, a grey rectangular box, appeared, with the words, 'input not supported' inscribed inside box. the box slowly moves around the screen, blocking everything under it, and bounces off the sides. is this another bug/ virus? I was on line at the time, to email sights and SD. What do I do? IS it dangerous? Apprentice help for your all in the kno

Aye, but just as Argentina did a few decades ago... Spain will bounce back. And banksters will be there to make loans, again,

I, too, have not received a turn file... edit: requested the server to resend the turn (which wasn't sent before apparently), will advise on results of that workaround attempt. edit 2: resend not work after 2 hour 'wait and see.' Something is snarky w server right now. Sauro... you captured provinces, plural? wow.

Yes, I recommend a sub/replacement. The game is just started, and Marveni seems in good shape. It would be a shame to place the players who are neighbors of marverni is such a disastrous position.

One post above, forget number, stated that "without greed, there would be no games." The point the writer was making, i think, is that without the profit motive, people would not work so hard to make 'good' games. The market just informs the companies about what games should be 'made.' Now, please consider that a few people, who have the 'tools' have made games even when the ultra-profit motive is not fully operating. I suspect that Froggy put

Steven, you are absolutely right. The basic point you make stands, regardless of how much tech humans 'invent/discover/create.' The sad thing is, we will continue doing the same things as the 'forgotten' inhabitants of Easter island did, and for the same reasons/impulses. The terror of it all is that some of us see it so clearly, right now, but seem powerless to make any effective changes. The inertia of Homo sapiens sapiens, (the "wise" apes) as our sp
