@Xia yes, the races do look better. My avatar ran into an npc named masq yada yada. I think its the same name as the quirky npc in oblivion. In any case, he said that all the kajids (the cat people from elswehr) 'look so much better since he moved to skyrim.' I think that was tongue in cheek humor... they do look better than they do in Cyrodiil.... lol.

What about roman empire shield 'turtle' formation? or Phalanx (massed polearms?) etc.

is this the one with the giant bugs that are used like stagecoaches? Stint riders, or something like that? Loved it.

Actually, you should take a breakout of zombism, an epademic, if you will, very seriously. I have actual, real life proof. The Centers for Disease Control (in USA) published and distributed a manual on how to survive a Zombie Apolocypse. I'm not making this up. Do your own search of the CDC and you will find it. [spoiler] CDC did publish this manual as a gimmik to communicate proper preparation f

@Kantok i appreciated your 'reply #8' which was posted after my brief post. I'm not sure how my comment was understood to become a 'cut and dried' judgement on CIQ concerns and practices. My comment includes a conditional clause "if."

We interrupt this dark and gloomy thread with a word from REAL LIFE. ... England is considering adding electric generators to its crematoria. The idea is to harness electricty from the energy given off when cremating dead human bodies. Its spun as a green idea. (Apologies to solient fans here.) ... Now, back to your regularially scheduled gloom and doom.

Perhaps its time to apply 'corporate personhood' in a fair and balanced manner. If and when convicted - give the corporation jail time, not just a 'fine' which is just passed along as a 'cost of doing business.'

@AlanMandragoran: Scene in a secret location in the not to distant future: Many people sitting on chairs - dimly lit room, shuttered windows, small podium at front. Elana steps to podium. "Hello, my name is elana, its been 14 days since playing my last computer game. " Crowd responds" "Hi Elana!" ...

Bonscott, im with you on the lockpicking mini game. I hate it. In oblivion, I always used the auto-pic until I ran out of lockpicks. In skyrim, I just use the console... I havn't loaded any mods, nor any patches..... kinda shy about mods /patches until I hear whet the community says... so far, I'm happy with starting skyrim in off line mode.... which i think i will lose when i patch the game, yes?

Classics, almost universally well received films that stand the test of time, generally speak clearly to multiple levels of the human condition. (Or are so funny it doesn't matter!) Immortals 2011 seemed to speak best to the investors need for acquiring a quick and easy buck. Sad.

FOV change via console. I remember that in tesIV, some FOV ranges crashed the game. Anyone found a breakpoint when playing with the FOV settings in Skyrim? Personally, I like the first person point of view so I havn't changed it on my install. I suppose, for getting some sweet screen shots, FOV changes would be helpful. So, how does one go about getting nice screenshots with skyrim?
