I just downloaded the 4 yada update... (via steam, of course) and skyrim is slower now, had to ditch the HD textures just to get the frame rate up to a playable level. Anyone else have the most recent update nurf their game? Any possible fixes?

@about '666' mark of the beast, the 'lawless one..' When social security numbers first came out, many christers proclaimed, 'mark of the beast.' When scanning bar codes came out (like the one redneckdude uses for an avatar here, LOL), same thing... mark of the beast. Check the history books out, many, many many times in the past, people have been convinced something going on in their era was the mark of the beast. Martin Luther was convinced the Papacy was the beast... '666' is NOT t

Corporation: a clever device for separating individual profit taking from individual responsibility. Capitalism: a socio-economic-political system that advertises the free market place, while actually, savagely subverting the 'free market place by "managing," via corporations, both labor, and customers. "Its not personal, its just business." My opinion, it is ALWAYS personal. Western consumers, including myself, have some less expensive products because of what amounts to slave la

Very fine set of suggestions for FE. Passive exp gain for units, char, etc, as in Fall from Heaven mod(Civ4) has very great potential for enhancing the game. One additional suggestion for gaining 'heros' or increasing their level. Have a possibility of a hero / wizzy emerging when a unit / army / settlement survives a 'tough' battle. Military units that perform exceptionally well might find a leader emerge from among the ranks when under fire. Settlements might find an able administrato

What? The same old discussion about teleport is now going on with cloudwalk. Deja vu. I don't use it much, but leaving it in is an option for some players to use. If a player does not want to use it, then don't. Simple. Leave it in for those who want to use it. Or make it an option at game set up, with a check box to opt in or out.

Sid Meyers Railroad games had a way to 'lay track' where you wanted it, as long as you had the cash to pay for each part. How difficult can it be to give the player a road building mode, where the player's civ can lay out the road / bridges, and then begin constructing them. Also, I remember in EWOM, some roads would already be on the map before play started. Might this be used, as well?

Whatever SD finally does, i hope the infamous "stack of doom" becomes a tactic that won't work in the game. I like a battlefield, with flanks, and facing, and ZOE, charge zones for 'fast units, and indirect fire. Moving a SOD is boring. So is fighting one.

Bottom line: The 'experiencing' or 'knowing' g-d, (or not) are both subjective and personal expressions. Objective proof of g-d's existence (or non- existence) does not exist in humanity's current data set. So, the only rational position to take is that of the agnostic: In the absence of objective proof regarding the existence, (or non-existence of g-d), I must say, "I don't know if g-d exists, or not." Whether I am a person of faith (

One immediately apparient advantage of running two caravans on the same trade route is the increased resiliency of the trade route. When you have two caravans doing the 'same' route' in opposite directions, 'bandits' attacking/killing one caravan does not end / kill the caravan route. So the trade off is the additional expense of the second caravan traded (sorry - pun) against the additional expense of running the second caravan unit.&nbsp

Agree with RFHolloway, a basic sense of how tough the residents of a 'cave' are can be gleaned (Roleplay-wise) from the surroundings, etc., So a general indicator, like the overmouse shield is great. However, more precise info about the 'cave' residents should come from 'rumors' 'quest info' etc., and from a unit with scouting skill. I suppose some opportunity to attemt to withdraw after entering ('hasty retreat') might be nic

wow, the world is green, the trees look like the original concept art. So cool. I loved the early pre-release art for EWOM, and was very disappointed at the dry, desert, boring colors in it. FE, wow, love the colors, the green, the trees. Thank you for all the screenies. Perhaps I will do the beta after all - was planning to wait...

Metaphorically speaking, humanity, individually and in groups, has the capability to envision the very best and create heaven on earth. Alas, we also have the power to fracture the very tectonic plates upon which we all live, and make earth into hell. So far, we have done a bit of both. Alas Babylon.
