I want to complain that the random complaints are not random enough!

Huey Lewis and the News..... nice songs....
@ magog aow yes, thank you. I did findd the needed site. I remembered seeing
three pedistals together
in one of the sites. I went back, did the obvious thing
three amulet parts, three pedistals
and completed the quest. Cool. Yes, bringing many
health potions
was indeed good advice. Thanks again.
Toasters? You mean there are **gasp** no toasters in FE? What will I do? Oh, I could fireball that pitchfork and, assuming the pitchfork survives, toast the bread on the hot pitchfork?
@Uvah people before profits?
Yes, and in the USA, where there is a 'first amendment' in the federal constitution, the concept of 'free speech' is, perhaps, a tad less fuzzy. However, it provides little protection. Whether it be the "Alien and Sedition Acts" (passed into law before the USA had a 5th president), or the Patriot Act (many of whose restrictions on free speech are still in force under the democrat Obama), free speech is under assult even in the USA. To paraphrase a B. Fr
Quest help.... SPOILER UNDER HERE --->
I have the three fragments of the amulet in the forbidden quest. (The quest where the names of the three sons has been removed from all records, back in the first age.) I have no idea what to do with the three fragments. Forge them together, but no forge will do it. The quest log says to get fragment in . I have three of these q
Does Shrek's family know he is loose again?
I agree with the sentiment to hold off on ships until the land/magic AI is well honed. I love naval games - but prefer SD's resources be spent in getting a kick-ass Ai up and running. Players have added (modded) some item in WOM, and I am sure thge same will happen in FE.
@ Hey Jafo, pesky americans are not the only ones 'reinventing' the American (...er English) language. Many linguistic studies on the changes in spoken English that occured after the Americans succeeded in their illegal rebellion indicate some non- so intuitive outcomes. For example, many words that were pronounced in the same manner on both sides of the Atlantic in 1800CE are now pronounced with different vowel sounds only on the British side.&nbs
I knew SD had a model to base WOM on....
froggy heaven... thnak s for opening the gate.....
Ok, mega thread did indicate to me that the topics were wide open. However, in deference to your concern, I won't post any further items that migth be construed by some people as spiliers.
My apologies to all ... will edit previous posts
Thanks Doc. I still wonder why the 'authorities' who can trak this kind of thing dont go after the router/provider from which it originates?
RE: no old nordic g-ds in Skyrim. I found a quest line based in a
shack way out in the wilderness.
Its not documented, yet, on any of the boards.
Old hunter
there bemoans the lack of respect for the old ways. Sends avatar on
several quests to hunt the big nastys... yes, a troll den,
is the last quest. Reward is
an amulet that gives the wearer 10% reduction in damage
Fascinating conversation. The bigger picture is, of course, the sense of entitlement 'marketing' 'people' have towards the rest of us. Their run amok drive to acquire (rules of acquisition, anyone?) every last penny of divivdends is emulisfying Civil Society. Civility is going the way of the Do Do bird (last one was eaten by hungry visitor?). Every basic value, consideration, kindness, civic responsibility, mutual respect of individuals,
I have to go with Distant Worlds. I am a dyehard Turn based player. But I find the ability to automate so many aspects of DWs that I can find an enjoyable mix of automated and micro-mamaged play. I also tend to play in smaller galaxies, so i can keep tabs on the action.
@Kantock i figured out the missing save game issue. I run win 7, and have two hard drives installed. C: is small, for the OS. D: is large, for games, writing projects, etc. Steam installed iself and can be accessed from either hard drive. Here is the 'fun.' If I start Skyrim for the c drive, I get a different set of savegames than I do if I start from the D: drive. The savegames were not missing... just on the oth
Happy thanksgiving to all.....
@kantock re map. the 3d map is actually much more versatle with the 3D map mod (actually, a set of ini edits) that allows the map to be zoomed in right to ground level. Very cool. No more, struggling to find a road / path up that mountain... @nenjen re. UI. yes, the interface is very awkward on the (my) PC. And not being able to 'see' what items are equiped is a pain. Why can't threre be
And my complements to the wonderful artist and editor who created my avatar used no these forums.
About food stamps and advanced degrees. Not all people earning a masters are going into high paying careers. Mine certainally wasn't a high paying career. Secondly, yes, its a choice. And some can argue that an adult choosing to live poor for a time to earn a degree is 'taking' money from other taxpayers. Perhaps so. But in the US, at least, during the past 30 years, automation has increased the productivity of workers - while wages have, at best, rem
Thanks doc now i can finally, hopefully, get rid of the ask toolbar, and the conduit thingy......
@KAntok yes, i saw the saves there as files... but i cna't get the skyrim engine/program to acknowledge them... the 'saves' option is greyed out, and does not respond to me. Is this becuase I installed the game on my D drive to advoid all the win 7 permissions hassles? Anyway, thansk for help... steam was driving me crazy - it still does...)..
Thanks... how about where did my save games go? Appreciate it.... and use alt tab to get off steam so i can shut down the web connection?
