You can see pavement between the trees, so I assume that the road is really "there" providing faster movement thru the forest, which matters more to me than the graphics anyway.

Traveler's cloak 45g +1 sight +1 movement Journeyman's cloak 85g +1 sight only Why would anyone buy Journeyman's ?
When a city levels-up and we get to choose its benefit, let us see what the city produces so the can estimate what we'll get from 'x' % benefit to each stat. Food is the one that is notably missing. How about just adding that city's food production to city into at the bottom right-of-center ?
Agree, especially with 1,4 & 5.
Current map has a bit of a choke point with neutral cities near the route my caravans want. Keep getting warning about entering the other kingdom's territory because caravans don't detour. They could easilyloop around by just going 1 or two squares north first. Getting tired of steering them manually. Couple times units that we in forest (at the edge) and were told to move diagonally forward and AWAY from the forest, kept moving inside the forest along its edge (the
Yes. Same issue here.
Happened several time with me (most recently with a stack of 6 units including hero who had high attack and zero defense, which may explain why he could inflict lots of damage and get killed in the same fight)
Anybody else think it is strange that I can equip both a shield and a big two-handed claymore ? (not urgent, but maybe after release ...)
Debug.err http://pastebin.ca/1898429 Soon after loading a save-game, moved into Polapel, killed the king ok, then moved onto the city itself. Won but then went to 100% cpu and had to control-alt-del out. This was all zoomed-in with the garbled screen like many have reported. Re-loaded and tried to repeat will zoomed out to cloth map. It took out the king and city in one battle, no problem (the k
Same thing here. 1920 x 1080. AI 5670 & 10.6 drivers. XP sp3 32-bit.

I have similar issues.

Do they have the "circus performer" talent ?
Exited. It went back to my desktop normally and went off the taskbar, while doing its normal CPU 100% busy thing for a while (not my favorite feature, BTW). Then it crashed. No new crash zip file. debug.err at http://pastebin.ca/1897648 except that I had to delete a bunch to make it small enough to upload. Kept the dxdiag info at the front and the 2nd half of the rest. Agree with OP
Just re-tested. It's gone from the enchants tab. Also, when I over the mouse over the unit's defense to see the formula, I think spells like stone-skin should show as separate items. Even while the spell was in effect, you couldn't tell from the formula -- guess it was reflected inside something else.
I had bunches of hangs either when I clicked "load game" or when I clicked a specific save-game to load. It's been a while, and the recollections are a bit fuzzy. All became well once I saw the advice in another thread to wait (on the screen where "load game" is a option) untill the background (mostly) stops scrolling and the city near the bottom of the screen stops moving. Somebody should sticky that tip until the issue is fixed.
I've had two different wording of BSOD messages, but I *think* they both referred to ATI-something. So graphics drivers, not sound. (Sorry, but I think I was wrong about the CTD messages referring to ATI files.) If it BSODs again I'll take a picture and post details later. Note: for some hardware, advice to update drivers may not be helpful. When I was on ATI 2000-series card, I had problems with GalCiv2 & two versions of then-current late-20
Agree with the first paragraph of OP.
Agree with Symondus (1st post), Tasunke & Edpfister. But when/if we make items for heroes. they should be expensive in terms of mana and/or gold. Probably not essence, but then I think the whole essence/mana thing could use some tweaking. Super-champions, with super items I made for them were what make MOM my favorite game ever, and most of what made AOW-SM fun for a while. So far Elemental is disappointing in that regard. I've said this before, but kick-as
I could quibble over the details of choir's list, but I agree with the concept.
"In regards to the factions being able to give you benefits via diplomacy, could that extend to include swearing fealty, and/or becoming a protectorate?" I'd vote for being able to do that with anybody, major or minor. I'd vote for me being able to become someone's vassal too. Also, trade caravans with minors sounds good. Agree with just about everybody that minors should be more powerful than in GalCiv 2. No strong opinions on how to make them so.
Yes. I have crashes if I alt-tab or alt-esc and then come back in .805. It worked a vew versions ago but now it is worse. (xp sp3, 32-bit, 3gb ram, ati 5670 & 10.6 drivers.)
