While you are at it, have it tell us how much $ it will cost us to build the city.

jerome736's 2nd picture is VERY familiar to me. XP sp3, 32 bit, 3gb ram, ati 5670 512mb ram, current 10-6 drivers. having trouble with pastebin, but here is the start of a recent debug.err DebugMessage: Version 0.805 last updated on: Wed Jun 30 21:36:52 2010 DebugMessage:
"Your machine is so fast...". So, will they edit the specs to say your process and graphics card must be LOWER than..... :) Sorry, couldn't resist.
Agree about being able to see what my character already has without leaving the shop. Maybe instead of a new window, include them in the "your inventory" with an "E" or something to show they are equipped. I'd like to be able to sell what my guy is using now when I buy him a better toy. I'd also like an option to have the shop inventory not include really out-of-date items. How often are we going to buy patchwork armor after we've researched chain and 2 kinds of plat
I'd vote for 1.5. Or 1.4 if you want to get fancy. But it's hardly a deal-breaker.
It used to work for me. Not sure why it hasn't recently. Anyway, 2nd the request for alternatives.
Page 14:a bit confusing when the text mentions "spell research" & "technology research" while the annotations to the screen shot say "lore points" & "research". "research" = "tech research" & "lore points" = "spell research" ?????? Bottom of page 15 & top of 16: the same two things (I hope!) are described as "technology knowledge" & "arcane knowledge", for the benefit of anyone who wasn't confused already. I'd vote for "tech research" and "s
Last thing I saw was a hero (while moving to a city) moving next to some kind of monster. No crash zip file. Windows application event viewer says "Faulting application elemental.exe, version 0.8.0.5, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.4053, fault address 0x00008aa0." (XP sp3, 32-bit, 3gb ram, ati 5670 512mg, 10-6 drivers) last few lines of debug.err below (sorry, pastebin stopped working for me a week or two ago) Deb
I liked the Snathi (?) evil space squirrels in GalCiv 2. As squirrels, they should be right at home in those big forests :) Please?
Yes, the "wait" trick has worked for me both times since I read it above. Rebooting used to help sometimes, but not always. So, wait before clicking load -- all an evil plot to make us watch the scrolling artwork on the screen until the city appears and stops moving :)
Just had my 2nd BSOD in beta 3. Message on screen indicated the problem was with an ATI dll. Have also had CDT with windows event viewer blaming the same file. But, my ATI drivers are current. Does Stardock talk to ATI & Nvidia about possible driver issues with their games ??? (XP sp3 32-bit, 3 gb ram, ati 5670 512mb & 10-6 drivers)
Anybody planning to do historical maps based on actual countries like Greece or Japan? (I mean historical topography, ores & metals, but other goodies would be non-historical, but shards might go where historical temples & shrines were)
How 'bout bringing back the sentences that used to specify a faction's specific advantages?
Mightg be coincidence, but I wasn't able to load when I played custom faction & sovereign (it hung, but I didn't check memory before I killed it), but it loaded just fine when I played the built-ins. xp sp3, 32-bit, 3gb ram. No dump file. The last several lines of the debug file are: Debug Message: WARNING: Elemental Sub Pack 'K_Soldier_Mounted_Warg_AttackSpearKill_Animations' was set to unrecognized animation type: 'AttackSpearKill' Debug Message:
Spells like "stone skin" only seem to be reflected in my King's stats for a turn or two. Bug or am I missing something?
When I reloaded the last autosave save game it crashed when I got to about the same point. No dump file this time either. Not a bsod, just Windows saying it had encountered problems. Event viewer said (the 2nd time) "Faulting application elemental.exe, version 0.8.0.5, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.4053, fault address 0x00008aa0" (nothing like that when I got the BSOD)
I get skipping during the intro, not later. xp sp3, 32-bit, 3gb ram.
Anyway, need it in the final version. But not really worried yet.
System is slow for about a minute after I exit. Running with task-manager, I see that CPU is 100%, about 50 each for Elemental and system. This is AFTER the Elemental icon has disappeared from my taskbar. I don't mind if it needs to spend some time cleaning up, but I would prefer it not hid and pretend to be gone while it is doing it. Any chance it could remain on the screen until it is closer to being really done? XP sp3 32-bit, 3gb ram
BSOD well into the game. Offending file was "ati2cqag.dll". Offense was "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". No new crash file from that time. XP SP3 32-bit, 3gb ram. ATI 5670 512mb 10.6 drivers. 1920 x 1080.
I've got what LeBlaque has, quite often. Moves around. XP sp3 , 32-bit, 3gb ram. ATI 5600 with current drivers. "advanced lighting" off (or it gets even worst).
Lots of good stuff here, agree with BananaMan in reply 3, especially
that isn't really fun to make because my character, the main part of Elemental, is stagnating. Your character should always be getting more and more powerful - that's the #1 principle of any good, addictive character-building game.
Also agree with Dagwood reply 53 "Seems like there ought to be a spectrum of NPC "types". I see no reason why those hired should be limited t
I had this back in 1Z -- there was one particular square that units couldn't cross but wouldn't go around -- had to manually steer them past it. Something possibly similar in .804 with an unreachable goodie hut near the coast.
Yes. Load + 1 new building = LOTS of unneeded / unwanted notifications. Yech.
