Need to do something. Much of the above has been asked for before. Champs are waaaaaay bland compared to MOM.
Now we have "magical equipment", which gives 2 rings and an amulet; then "magical forging", which gives 4 rings & 2 amulets. There's another ring later on. So every time I get the the tech and want to buy the goodies for a key fighter, I have to remember (or check) which rings he already has. How about someday rearranging the trees to be "magic amulets", then "magic rings", etc. Just to make managing our procurement a little simpler.
I still have it. I recall a patch note a week or three ago mentioning a fix, and I haven't heard so many complaints about it lately, so am I the only one ?????
If we click on it, shouldn't it jump to the city like the building-completed messages do? Its a pain to search for the city to check it its new options if it levels up on a turn when it didn't finish any buildings? Seems like it ought to be an easy change.
(refering to "life", "enchantment", etc) This matters more for those of us with the extra book contents, since the sovies there don't have those books. I'm playing Nym now, and even when I finally got a spellcaster, I'm still locked out of my favorite spells. Shouldn't they be accessible somewhere, like maybe in the "expert spellbooks" branch ?
I haven't seen any horse resource for weeks in my random maps for week. Coincidence or did they get messed up somehow ? Wild Warg resources are a bit rare too, but I recently I see them in about half my campaigns. I play only Kingdoms, so wargs don't matter so much to me.
Like Aeon's idea. Otherwise, let us arm our caravans the old-fashioned way, by building custom units that are armed and can trade, like in GalCiv 2. Why can't we design units with caravan packs? (I asked for this way back in the beta) Does anybody actually design units with the pioneer's packs ? I'd MUCH rather have caravan packs. Also, sometimes the counter for how many caravans a city can have gets confused and it won't let me build a replacement ca
Good points here... the 11 - 12 thing has bugged me for quite a while, and it should be super-easy fix. Improvements to unit deployment have been asked for before, and will keep being asked-for until they do it. Don't disagree with OP either.
I agree a lot with the OP. To add more examples, Shogun Total War 1.0 had the Hojo Horde; later versions had Kensai & Battlefield Ninja. Master of Orion had, well, Orion. There was a similar thread a few weeks ago with a subject something like "we need a hook".
The shape you see in the buy screen for both crude bows and longbows is clearly a recurve bow. Technically not "longbow", and by no sane definition are recurve bows "crude".
It's been asked for before. I'm still in favor. No special opinion on the relative merits of.., A: a plain-old AoW-SM style system (you get what the dead enemy carried) B: MOM (dangerous sites would have random weapons & armor, possibly the possessions of past warriors who died trying to invade the site) C: allowance for the deceased's equipment being damaged or the chance of an enchanted tooth appearing. Just give us something. 
I always play custom sovies, and all kids have been non-channellers for quite a few versions now. Don't recall when it started. (on 1.09v now, but no kids yet in that game).
I don't think the one guy who is out of movement should stop the others who HAD lots of movement from moving it they are willing to separate themselves. Makes for extra micromanagement trying to keep them apart.
How about making it possible to get out of the diplomacy screens with just one click ? Someday. After all the real fires are out.

A couple minutes ago, the GAME said major update, with comments referring to 1.08. I think I saw those comments long ago. Impulse says a minor update, from 1.09q to 1.09r. Updating as I type...... done -- it must have been a small one.

Playing a standard sovie, with a new 1.09p custom kingdom. I know to clean up my old stuff for a new beta. But, in case it matters, I have the book extra features installed, although I wasn't using them. I had cleared that out too, but reinstalled after a couple 1.09p campaigns. Seems less stable since I put them back, but I might be imagining it.
