Well, in fact teleport can be scifi and fantastic. Alchemy is considere fantastic but with today science, we can "transmute" material by adding some proton and neutron to existing atome or molecul. The only thing is it's cost so much and produce so less that it's not viable... for now :P.

I usually start with a sovereign with meditative and brilliant trait so I can start researching at turn 2 for magic AND tech. I build my city (with the study, arcane lab, workshop, watchtower and all the other that I can) and after that I'm settle, I build a pionner . I'm a turtler so I'm not aggressive and with this kind of setting, before patch 1.1, it's risky because city spamming is a "must" if you want to have a good resource/tech/magic research. I'm hoping that with 1.1, I'll be able to
Well, if you will buy this game anyhow, I suggest you to buy it now. The reason? You get the 2 expensions free instead of just one. If you want to have a good feel on what it will be, wait after 1.1 :)
Well, your moto should be: Bee or let it bee :P
I agrre with it too! Now, it's fun. After 1.1, it will be good. After first expension, it will be great and after the second it'll be awesome. The thing I like the most about Stardock is they commit to quality for a game and stick to it until it's a great game. I had bough Sin of a solar empire, demigod, galactic civilisation and it's all some really good game. When I heard about Elemental, I was thrilled because it's rare to have some good TBS fantastic game. I like disciple and HoMM too, bu
Quoting Heavenfall, reply 82I think an absolute must for 1.1 is space unicorns. Why? To give the pink space ponies an enemy? Miniature giant space hamsters would be better.
I think Hamtaro fit your description :). Also, it would be nice to have a stargate, so we can incorporate MoO in this game and try to conquer the universe! Or maybe use the engine of Spore and we begin the life after the cataclysm :)
Yeah, I can have my super study city!!! Thank you, I'm more thrilled than ever :)
Same feeling here, but who knows what THE FROG have for us, my bet is on a funnier game and some new twist that we wont forget :).
I thought it was triple channel for a total of 6 slots, so you could get up to the lofty heights of 12 GB... *drools*
Well, if you look at alienware.com, the aurora ALX CAN support up to 24 gig of rams :)
I want the civ tech research for pubs to unlock birthday parties and desserts. i need at least 5 varieties of cake to choose from, with an ideal list ranging at about 20 different types. You already have the beehive so ok for the honney but what about chocolate tree? Maybe in the magic bra
New building: Sandbox. The sovereign's kids can play in the sandbox to learn the basic of the game and then be able to perform better when they grow up. Add one more trait to each children that play in.
Something related that I've noticed is that alliance and treaty request seem equally likely to come from the Kingdom or Empire factions. I feel like the Kingdom factions should be more friendly toward and inclined to treat with other Kingdom factions and same-wise for Empire factions. I'm not suggesting that Kingdom/Empire alliances and treaties shouldn't be allowed but they should be more difficult and expensive.
Well, I don't know for sure if it's mature, but my experience with this forum is really awesome. I'm a french speaking person, I live in Canada, and when I told people about it (to consider my bad english) nobody flame me or insult me. And, some people are just really happy that I'm trying to write a good english even if it's difficult. Somebody told me once that my english was better than his french so he wont complain so much :). And, above it, we can speak to the dev team and that is a gre
http://www.mediafire.com/?v6gv6gkwg82q884 Turn 1021, just before alliance win (didn't know that but just finish my game). In this game, I was exploring what can be done (learning the game). I'm a turtler so no big army but I just finished the Sarag Egg's quest so I'm wandering with my dragon and my sovereign. I love to build and research, peacemonger by nature. Nealy all my city are lvl 5, those who aren't is becau
Seems like a pretty well known guy here... and did we need to buy Fall from heaven or is it free? Sorry, didn't have all the expention on Civ 4
Well, I play a game rigth now and turn 1000 + on a large map and dont have the OOM (out of memory) or the leek of memory crash, it's more stable than before. I'm playing this game on the first 1.09 patch, not he 1.09E.
Well, I agree but we can't deny that he has the rigth to express his frustration because he is rigth :).
Well, the problem is not about using impulse. If you read his post correctly, it's about what have been advertise and what was delivered. With the game "ou of the box", it was advertise that he could play the game in multiplayer and on LAN without activating the product. That is the problem that he point out. He take the time to read all the fine print and go to the gamer's bill of rigth and read this too. Basically, he did what a good customer should do: read what is the game and know the co
Good points. Modern transportation over the last century or so has thrown a wrench into geography of the situation, but it doesn't take away from the fact that large cities need products from the countryside to feed its citizens.
Yop, I totally agree with you, so maybe insted of "limitation" on area of influence, it could be possible to upgrade city with "caravan", but it's already done in the city-spam techni
How about this to limit city spam: the level and size a city can reach is dependent on the size of its hinterlands. If you have a bunch of cities crowded together, the highest they can reach is, say, level 2, before the supporting hinterlands are exhausted. If you space cities apart some they can grow to level 5, the rationale being that it takes the production of a large area of hinterlands to support a large city, wh
Same thing here, I play a game that have 750 + turn now but don't know how to post it :).
Quoting Goldmos, reply 44 It would be very nice if the first part of this game was more of an immediate "survival" type game rather than immediate growth with pioneers. If the sovereign was forced (say) either to use his essence to create food resources vs using it to "imbue champions." This would be an incredible trade-off: Do I start my city spam at the cost of weakening my sovereign, or do I start my tide of conquest by imbui
City spam is just a game strategy technique. It's no different from using "killer stack," "teleportation," "blitzkrieg," "imbuing multiple heroes vs imbuing few or none," or going for spell-of-making vs conquest, etc. It's just unbelievable to me that players are trying to negate a valid game strategy? If you don't like this particular strategy, use another. Any strategy that is unbeatable against the AI is g
Other request: Have a wandering troop of 300 mans that randomly crush your city with this message: FOR SPARTA. Then, hear a little voice saying: heum, we're not at the rigth place. Then, the barbarian blushed and say: Oops, sorry! and leave. Add a new trait: Redneck. This trait (faction trait) allow you to marry your daugther/son/sister/brother and have a dynasty within your dynasty. Add a new civic victory(empire): Divide by zero: Your scie
