Spiders are meant to hold enemies in place, which is what they do perfectly. Spiders + Wither + Dirge + death shards = win vs. everything.

tjashen, I fundamentally disagree with almost everything that comes from your head.
As I remember, the #1 issue with Dynasties wasn't that they didn't work (they worked fine), but that the kids had really wild/OTT stats, something that with some work could have been brought into line. Also, Dynasties make a great basis for advanced Diplomatic options. NOW, the only reason I bother with diplomac
Quoting Azunai_, reply 60don't get the comment about boring early game either. in fact, if i had to name one strategy game with an interesting early game, it would be LH. That is indeed a very curious thing and I am genuinly puzzled how such extremely differing perceptions come about? I assume it has to do with what you expect to get out of a game within a certain genre. Early game is the most fun I have
... Sure, there are still some innovative concepts that have survived. But this game continues to get dumbed down, and become even more Civ-like, at a time when many of us expect more depth and sophistication in our designs, and better from you guys specifically. This was no time to be taking Occham's Razor to the extreme. ... Get back to your roots please. The flotsam of good features that hav

Cut all the accuracy traits. They are boring and no one wants to pick them. Possible exception is the warriors accuracy + spell resist per level. Yes, assassins are horrible. They are functionally the same as warriors, but less predictable, weaker in every way (baring great luck) and with traits that are incredibly anti-synergistic.

The team has a strong core of empire building to work off of, which is great. I think most people agree with this. There needs to be another pass on faction differentiation, since that has kind of fallen by the wayside, and you now have a grand total of 1 interesting race (Resoln). IMO the game just needs more interesting and more powerful heroes, including better items, more powerful early game, more access to XP (splitting or not doesn't mater, the amount and spread of XP matter
I agree in spirit but in terms of implementation what you are saying is not much different from suggesting that Stardock should improve the AI by improving the AI. Getting AI to make intelligent choices about what is best is a large part of writing an AI in the first place!
Incorrect. No matter how it is implemented, the AI is an entire system, and the strength of a unit is a single evaluation function. I obviously

Improve the AI's ability to tell what sucks ass and what does not. This will have the following benefits: The strategic AI will not build units that suck ass. The strategic AI will not repeated ram its suck ass units into your stack of doom because it thinks it's the bomb and you suck. The diplomatic AI will not go to war with you immediately because it thinks its suck ass units are better than yours. The tactical AI will make better choice

It's fine. It's supposed to make choosing to raze and not continually expand an option.

I reject the two opinions above me. 1) I like making tough choices between infrastructure and military. 2) Don't care much, but think UI is better now 3) Boats have almost never been fun in any game ever. 4a) The kid system was a joke deserving of much mockery. 4b) I think everyone in the kingdom knows how I "magically" impregnated my wife while warring an entire continent away from her. 5) I like choices, not just seeing numb

Defender Sov + Warrior Champ + Paragon make me think hero fights ftw would be even more anti-climatic... Of course, maybe that broken combo needs to change.

Just played a game as Resoln with with summons to test this, and I don't think I've ever ROFLstomped everything in the game so hard. Granted, I was blessed with a large number of shards, but it was not extreme. I actually think this tactic is slightly OP if played right, which makes me feel a little narcissistic when looking at everyone's complaints (again). Things to consider to make sure you don't make this tactic OP: Imp doubles the number

Not sure if this is being done or not, but there should really be some sort of an evolving "underestimation" coefficient for each specific faction which would directly modify their perceived army strength. When they fight a battle with a player and lose when they "expected" to win (based on army strength), this coefficient would be increased, and they would be less likely to underestimate a players strength.
Result? Cry in a corner! A LvL 7 hero without xp booster needs 2.89 of these groups of drake to reach level 8. How many, many of these group would it take to get to let's say level 11? How many groups would it be necessary to get from level 1 to level 7 in the first place ? How many groups of Drake and pack drake usually roam in our games? Why do you want to nerf heroes even more than they are right
Quoting Sythion, reply 6 Charge is NOT fine. It is way over powered compared to every other trait that exists. Every unit should always have charge under every circumstance. It completely dominates everything else. Since charge only applies on the first turn of battle, your statement is only true as long as you can always overwhelm your opponent on that first turn.
And get your ranged u

Reduce their placement on the map though, seems like ive got a wolf and horse beside every city. Charge is fine and I really don't want less traits in the game. Just balance double strike better.
The reduced spawn rate of horses/wargs would be a fin
