I just thought of something. I typically play with Altar and their special ability is 10 material and 10 metal at start, othersiwe they're average, no pluses & no minuses, which is sort of the way I like to start. I'm assuming that means all the other factions start with 0 metal and 0 materials? This in addition to my early exploration emphasis & expansion might be why I've never really had any problems running out of materials, it seems to be a fairly common resource fro
Honestly pc games are most commonly sold at walmart and bestbuy. For marketing they should go for a viral marketing plan on youtube or something of the like. Or simply hitting up all the game websites and make themselves known. I find it hard to believe the people who would play a little app game on their phone would ever buy a full TBS pc game, sounds like the faulty
I think amazon has the PC ma
There was a new version upload & I decided to upload the new version 1.09e and start a bran new game. I got to turn 81 and the game just locks up after turn 81, no matter what I do. I tried exiting & restarting the game like 4 different times and it locks up every time. I restarted my computer too, made no difference. So, I'm just posting this game for Stardock troubleshooting purposes, as it's impossible to move past turn 81 without a crash I don't know why? I move the last g
It always works for me as well. Just an update problem with large mountains. IE: if you lower one out of a 4 tile mountain (on cloth map), 3 tile should remain as mountain, but all 4 disappears and "looks" like empty land. One of those 4 is actually hills (not updated to look like hills either) and can be moved in, the other 3 are still mountains but doesn't display as such on the cloth map, and thus ends up being very confusing. The only way to know

I wrote pretty extensivly on this topic in the Number of Turns important thread, so I won't go into great detail. I think speed and timing are significant as they are in most games. I've found in this game that defeating the AI is easier early on in the game while they're weak, which is generally true of many 4x games as well. With the above in mind, the first think I do on turn 1 & 2 is build that workshop, since metal & material might be hard to come by the first 2

I've never had the spell not work not. Also, the terrain the cloth map does not update properly after the spell is cast - mountains on the cloth just dissapear as if the land went flat but there is still a hill there. This might be what is causing the problem.
You've never had it

There's definitely a problem with the lower land spell, which I mentioned before in other posts. I've never had a game crash on my system, but the lower land spell typically doesn't work 70% of the time I cast it. The mountains will actually disappear, but if you try to move your guys on the now-lowered square the game won't allow you to move there. Also, If you save the game & restart the terrain will revert back to the way it was before you cast the spell. The game doesn't seem to

Heck, even I won't obey me.
I've noticed that this in particular happens to horse archers more than
In 4x games number of turns is very important, especially from a conquest POV because: 1) you want to conquer the enemy before he conquers you 2) you want to build a stronger army faster than your opponent, otherwise you'll lose against a competent opponent 3) you want to research that advanced tech that gives you a bigger military advantages over your opponent first, or get crushed if he develops it first.
