Swim Skills No RPG game I know of uses the swim skill, though it could add a lot of tactical options to game play. Swim - Player characters can traverse deep water terrain by swimming. They could escape pursuers, bypass a bridge guarded by trolls, cross a moat to lower the drawbridge or explore an island in the middle of a lake. Implementation is relatively simple. Swim - used
this tactic would allow a king to escape a much faster army by sacrificing some units to slow down a pursuing stronger army What ? A non-suicidal sovereign ? I couldn't stand the shock
I could, it means the AI is being smart and not stupid remember that old saying flee to fight another day
O_o Windows 7 has only been out for 2 or 3 years and they're making another OS? geez... what did they find wrong this time or what did they bork up now in windows 7
I'm pretty damn sure the developers love you for this feed back, it helps them narrow down issues they can take care of, one of the major issues as this points out is... AI, wow... the AI is dumber then a door nob, thicker then a wall and just plain [e digicons]:dur:[/e]
You the man ;)
you need more sentence breaks there... your wall o' text kills the eyes example sentence paragraphs break line being you pressing enter at least once next sentence paragraphs next break line notice how I have spaces in between each of those? yes I just schooled you in proper post layout format that won't kill a post readers eye sight <img
say that after they come out with more games that have more story depth. Elemental is the game series War of Magic is the game, in particular it's a tactical turn based game. Saying Elemental in general doesn't need story is like saying futures games don't need story and thus assumes every game Stardock comes out with for the Elemental Series will be a tactical turned based game. DO not assume this is the case I am quite sure there will be a difference in g
you're your own worst enemy XD
lol I would think you can edit the title in the thread you know...

It´s ok that you are interested in the history of Elementals world, I mean, it´s not my issue, but I personally have no interest in that. I don´t even have the slightest interest in premade faction leaders, I never play them. I also never played premade factions in Master of Magic or in Master of Orion, and I don´t really have interest in a premade story. I want to play and create my ow
hmmm that explains a lot indeed, that little book is called The Hiergamenon and has nice little bits of information in it about the history of Elemental, A great deal of it pertaining to the time before the Cataclysm happened as well as some indepth details into each leader of each faction and information on each faction. Though the history of the past stuff contained within is incomplete... which leaves me wanting to know more... I can only think of one way to gain such infor
good question... I have a feeling he has no idea what game he's talking about... quite possibly that he's off his rocker and assumed this was a different part of the forums. How is this related to Elemental War Of Magic?
Did you get the collectors box which came with the collectors edition? it comes with a neat little book with lots of stuff in it xD
I haven't played much Civ 4 but I played a lot of Civ 3. Mostly the only reasons I would upgrade is because of UI and combat. Combat is much deeper now, and very distinctly Civilization. I love it, but ya the rest of the game is kinda simple. Not bad but a little raw. The new UI is actually pretty cool and allows you to do turns extremely quickly and makes it actually impossible to forget to do something without being intrusive or awkward. As f

Developers should perhaps play others games and compare?
I get the feeling they have played other games, otherwise I doubt they'd be where they are today if they didn't have past experience in playing other games. To really be a game developer you have to have a bit of passion for games to begin with. No doubt with Derek "Kael" P

one with the midnight stones, salted pork, the honey stuff, exp potions and other things all have this issue I've noticed ;)
I've noticed this... when you opt for the autobattle option you notice you lose a movement point, when you do manual battle you lose no points at all. Why is this? your troops aren't making any movement to the next tile or square they are attacking with enemy troops on it but why does the autobattle option make you lose a move point when manual battle does not? Now I can understand the loss of movement point if right after the battle your army moved onto the tile but this isn&

Of course it's a special building that isn't part of a city therefore you have have a small army you've sent out build the building. This is nothing unusual because the Roman Legions would when they were deployed build forts when they dug in when invading or defending

They had watch towers? basically it's a similar building you build in your ZOC that you can station troops in? Like Civ's fort improvement?
Always good to have a second line of defense, I have the BetterPrivacy but the link Dr put up and once I downloaded it it found 3 cookies the BP didn't find and remove as I said before always good to have 2 lines of defense XD
