Nowhere does it say it is valid only for those who live in the US, only that the price must be what US gets, and seen from the US website. How is D2D today? The last time I purchased stuff there, there was a limited time only that I could download my purchase, and a limited amount of times I could do it.

It was my understanding--according to the manual--that troops would revolt or go on strike if they didn't get paid. Sounds like a glitch...1.1 is right around the corner anyway
How to tell when you're playing a game too much; someone randomly re

I just wanted to quote this
Most of the old spells have been stripped out, and the v1.1 beta will have 68 new and improved spells. While the final 1.1 build will have around 75 spells to help your rise to power, we’ll continue taking suggestions on how to best make the ‘Magic’ half of our subtitle really shine!
So there are spells that didn't make it into beta.

I figured out how to make modding a LOT easier. First, the problem. Modeltypes. I hate them. They do two things. First, they actively limit the armor and clothing a unit can wear. Secondly, the modeltype actively randomly distributes skins and hairstyles when creating random units. Let's say I want to make a new race. I want the race to look cool, so I make a friend design a really cool skin. Let's call it... Elf mod. Since I want to give them a new skin, I need to make a new
So, I'm not sure exactly why, but I had assumed that, when Mana went global, that each shard would produce the appropriate mana type. Fire mana, air mana, etc. I've been disabused of this silly notion in the past couple days, which leaves me with two questions. 1) Why would I care about shards at all, given that my soveriegn and a variety of buildings generate mana, and only a couple spells are affected by them? 2) Does anyone with modding kn

Yeah, I think it's been obvious the last few years that focus has shifted away from PC titles, both for gamers and developers and publishers and investors (rarely all in one package). However, I think a key point of "evolving" the pc genre will be cutting away the fat, which is the physical retailers. So while cutting shelf space may certainly be a sign of a bigger problem in the industry, it may also be the solution to part of that problem. Imagine, Brad, the day you won't ha
I completely agree, but the fact is that they are doing a lot of the exact same things with 1.1 that they did with the beta. They are saying some stuff but ultimately keeping the community in the dark through the entire dev process. I mean I am not saying that this is necessarily a bad thing, but it is ultimately unnecessary. Since release, they have put out both full release updates and pre-release updates. Honestly, I think if they put out a
You still have not answered my questions. Do you belief these things ever worked or that they got fixed? Do you really believe based on the changelog and today's 1.09e that Erosion in practice is not a subset of Raise/Lower land? Unless your response was a wordy way of saying you do not know?
I think it was pretty clear, none of us know.

The multiplayer is simultaneous in the sense that you and other humans players move at the same time. It has too many flaws to even list. If you're looking for a fun multiplayer experience, I recommend not looking here. Just a few things wrong: terrible animation lag - units warping over the map instead of ordinary movement. No tactical combat. Some spells disabled. Terrible chat interface. AI will move first, you are not in a simultaneous turn with it. AI will delay movements in a ga
Quoting Heavenfall, reply 19Gene1966 what about Lower Land makes you think it will work on cliffs? Maybe it was Raise Land, and Lower land defintion confused me but to the same effect. And to address your question, #1 Cliffs are in fact land not water, and #2 if I want to create a beach today in 1.09e where there is only cliff, then I simply apply Raise land and the cliff is now a nice sandy beach that allow for transpo
What I'd love to see is the modders kick around the new GameModifiers and various tags added to extend spell functionality. If we've added a feature where, with relative ease, we can make it considerably more useful to modders, I'll be happy to get it in!
I've never been big on custom magic myself. The only request I've made about magic, if I remember correctly, is making sure SpellResourceCost worked better in tactical

I'm a bit concerned about
Revive Land- tile becomes grassland Desecrate Land- tile becomes forsaken
I hope these have huge costs, as changing environment in a tile can have massive bonuses. I mean, when fighting in enemy environments, you lose 25% attack and defense, and the enemy gains 25% defense and attack. The spell would reverse that, so I now gain 25% attack and defense, and the enemy loses 25% attack and defense. That's a total gamechanger.

From a modder's perspective, I think regular weekly updates is worse, because if you're modding the normal game you'll need to go through every change and release an update every week. If they changed one weapon value or reduced the cost of one building, I'd have to release a new version of the elf mod. I wouldn't, obviously. I'm just saying, depending on the mod, a weekly update schedule could be an absolute nightmare for a modder. impinc, I hope you can get excited about the

You can actually already watch AIs battle it out in-game. start the game through a shortcut and add -cheat to the link, then press ctrl-c when you start a game. Your sovereign will be teleported to out of reach in the water ( http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/4119/elemental1290023752.jpg ) and turns will automatically end until you press ctr-c again. All we need is AI hooks (and replays).

In 1.09e, which is the latest patch, it is better to connect them all to whichever city has the largest amount of food production before bonuses. Most of the time, that is your capital, which gains 4 from the farm. However, sometimes other cities can end up with higher bonuses than that.

The Drota are one of species in the Elemental universe. In-game, you can find references to them here
Little is known about the exact circumstances of Pariden the Arnor's destruction. It is said that even the combined might of Kir-Tion, Phaedra and Ardell were no match for Pariden.
