I like it. I hope you guys make it appropriately available to modders as well. Could be sweet as hell. Most importantly, I wouldn't mind being able to choose what unit gets spawned (as a modder, not a player).

I'll add a link to the sticky, if you don't mind.
You can save it all you want, but only GFX file changes will be visible in-game. All the XML is stored separately in each save-game.
Not specifically like that. You'll have to remove the whole tech. As you see in the elves techs, they're actually just referencing the standard kingdom weapons. If you remove those references, and fix up the weapons file in the elves mod, you can limit the weapons any way you want.
The child broke the law, so a suitable punishment should be sought. Obviously this does not include jail time, or a lifetime in debt. A fine for the parents is usually a good first step, and in case the offense is repeated, possibly seek to put the child in juvenile detention, as the parents/guardians are unable to care for the child.
You are using an extremely illogical argument. Noone is saying kids should be condemned differently for this crime than for any other crime. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man
Just a headsup, I already moved some buildings into the raceconfig so I could split up a few of the elven starting buildngs. This will increase in the next few releases as the new tiles are incorporated.
It'd just be the same. Death Legion is the demon faction in this mod for now. Edit: However, if you have any cool models I would love to include them as unique units.
You have to use CPELF
@John_Hughes I will accept the override colours on this one building, but don't use them again. Keep in mind they'll stick with the building if it gets captured. That's no good. @Winnihym I am very against a particle effect on the ground, it will be very FPS intensive. Since the angels use the elf tileset, if you add forests instead it looks like it's a green area when it all comes together. @kronik83 I added you to the drota buildings @oddrheia Hey, what's up. All the
Much, much better, I think. I would perhaps lower the highest platform just a tiny bit to make it stick out less. Also, do you think you could put something here? That piece looks a bit inorganic. Just a closet or barrels anything. @John_Hughes, I'm not sure about the green colour on the house. Where is that coming from?
Thanks for the headsup about the elf library. I think it applies to the angels too. To be honest the option of designing your own races based on these factions is very hard to program, because there's like a filter stripping away several important pieces from the rest of the code when you do it. That's why it's very difficult to make races work in the faction workshop. It's a very low priority for me, but I'll have a quick look before the next update. @crystlshake thanks for t
Okay, so this little bastard probably wasted 3 hours of my life. This issue concerns the use of Medallions in unittypes. This is an example of what it looks like for a unit designed in-game: [quote] C:\Users\Heavenfall\Documents\My Games\Elemental\units\icons\Seeker_0_885636554-2097.png &nb
I went looking for a skeleton model a while back when I was trying to learn how to attach models to skeletons. I tried contacting the undead rising team but never got anywhere with any of them (they supposedly had a skeleton model). I'd like a real skeleton model as well (would look awesome with the lost souls armor for one thing), but I haven't found any that doesn't have rights attached to it. I'll give it another look.
I would gladly help out with the ACP part, if you have any specific ideas. I'm a bad modeler, which means I can more easily change something than create it completely from scratch. Since we're both working on big projects, maybe you'll consider doing a tile for the expandedfactions? [e digicons]O:)[/e] Oh yeah, I was thinking the lost souls cloak of soldiers would be a pretty decent magical cloak (the transparent one). Maybe something that adds extra dodge?
@ctpcasey I like what you have in mind for the goblins. Remember to set fixed height for everything on that tile, so the ground doesn't cause objects to go out of sync.
That's a great look, I think. Could you check to see if there is any more appropriate model than the statue? A slowly rotating thing like the kingdom study has might work, but I don't remember the colours on it. Also, if you have the models left, a barrel or two between the statue and the building, in the open area, would help fill the void. By the way, it's important that everyone comments on each others tiles (obviously, if you have nothing to say, don't say anything)
Spent a few hours trying to make the AI build these unique units. The only way to make the AI build them consistently seems to be to make them cost only gold. Used new special resources like unit tokens, didn't work. Also tried making them cost mana, never built then. It's kind of boring for the player to only pay gold, but I think in the end the increased variety of units should still be a very positive effect on the gameplay. <a href="http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/1389/
1) The Living Stone do their own labour, but use standard kingdom pedestrians. The living stone model has way too high polycount to add to tiles. 2) Sure, but don't go crazy 3) Unintentional side-effect, it's their race weakness. They are extremely heavy since they are made of stone, and their young are made of lava so their community constantly emits a passive heat breaking up the land. Plus, the living stone are literally walking out of cracks in the earth, they aren't "born
The Death Legion.
@Winnihym post images and files in this thread (use mediafire.com if you need to upload somewhere). @ArcElement2002 I think you need to better capture the nature of the tile - it's great that you're working in a military nature, however I see almost no living space. Also try to use more of the tile, there's almost 1/4th of the tile unused (keep in mind how that will look when repeated). Edit: I love the sandbrute pet, by the way. In fact, one
Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. Players using custom sovs will have to summon a special world resource, that's the only drawback.
Updated. You don't have to "choose" a whole faction if you don't want to, individual buildings are ok. Remember, quality above quantity. Edit: By the way, tiles will be added to expandedfactions as they are completed. I don't see a reason to hold back everything until every detail is completed.
Bump, just wanted to say I've run into no issues. Today for the first time I ran 400 turns late-game without crashing. And I think this fix severely helped to avoid oom crashes.
Great stuff, I'm loving these crests. Can I just say that the lonely sea drakes appear to be off center of their square? It's distracting from a flawless mod! [e digicons]:D[/e]
