I'm not familiar with both so I can't really speak up. Can you tell us more exactly what the mod layer is, and how/if it relates to Elemental? Edit: If I were to comment anyway, I would say the argument for LUA is it has been used extensively in other mod structures for games. Edit2: LUA in games and Python in games (scroll down to "specifi

Find the place where the game puts the screenshots you take in-game. Then go up a level in the folder structure, and you'll see the /Mods/ folder. I don't know where your folder is, since your folder structure isn't like others.

I don't think the mod layer will have anything to do with Elemental, other than possibly share language. The mod layer sounds like it will be a dev kit to make your own games, pretty much. Personally I'd prefer LUA, because I have worked with it before.

[quote who="Frogboy" reply="113" id="2880868"] I'll be honest- I'm a little nervous about it, because I know it can go either way. That said, it's wrong to condemn and doom Stardock until FE comes out. I don't know if I buy this. Sure, the game communities online fret about this kind of thing. But after 20 or so years of being in business with over a dozen really good games having been developed or published during that time can be undone with one bad game release then r

Copy the teleport spell to a mod-file, but leave out the mana cost. Don't know about any of the other stuff. Could be because it's beta, maybe it downloads a new data.zip.

Free to play games always seem to generate a lot of discussion. There are so many different models that it's hard to make judgements about every F2P game out there. Some games prefer to aim their shops to the "top tier" players who tend to pay ludicrous amounts of money on a single game (1k+ USD). Others go for the mainstream variant with minor, but mostly necessary "upgrades" to the game - these generally don't cost much, but can also stack up overtime. Some games build the item shop

For some reason, I don't know why, your vanilla buildings are not up to 1.11. I can tell this by a couple of quick facts. 1) You've got the watchtower improvement, that was removed in 1.1 2) Your buildings are not costing any used population, again a concept that was initiated in 1.1 3) Tower of Ereog still available 4) Temple of Essence still using pre-1.1 descriptions At this point, you should just uninstall and reinstall the game. When you run it in AI mode, be sure to position your sovereign outside a city first. Sometimes he/she doesn't get snatched from cities when you start the mode.

Sure EWOM sucked at release. I got two more standalone games to make up for it. That's the games they have to win me over to the Elemental world again. Since I already have a promise to play those two games, I don't need to decide on future titles until I played those. If the Elemental world still appears boring and lore-less after those two promised titles, I won't buy the RPG. If, on the other hand, they've vastly expanded on the Elemental world, I most assuredly will. There's no wa

They do, because they said they would. I don't expect their commitment to EWOM to match the budget for FE or something like that, not even close. But what they've said, they'll do.

[quote who="Alstein" reply="11" id="2880156"]Can't seem to edit post, so I'll respond here. I'm not really a fan of continuing EWOM at least, and/or making the 2nd XP a seperate game also (unless FE bombs) Let's face it, people don't like EWOM all that much. I can see backporting engine changes and/or other things to EWOM, but it shouldn't be any different then GC2 DL patches that you did once the expansions came out. Anyth
