Every now and then I get one of those funny replies to a normal question too. I asked "play wind guide you" and she said "oh, don't I"? It still keeps me up at night, wondering what she does and doesn't do. Edit:(possibly/probably fake)

Hasn't it?! Who knows. I hope and think they will be compatible. That way Stardock themselves could use old tiles from E:wom in FE.

I've been playing the original for a bit. I love the start, the exploring phase, especially finding old ships or secrets. And I love the automation offered, and the ships you can't control that are just "part of your society". But I'm not really... having fun when I'm playing. The AI never seems to pose an interesting challenge, they're either weak as hell or overpowered as well. And I loathe the constant requirements for fuel, having half my ships turn back in an attack i

US soldiers murder more people in "wars" every day - european countries do that too. Where's the outrage? We are devastated when we suffer the same violence we have no problems visiting on others. If anything, we should learn humility from something like this.

Why is it worrisome? Isn't it good that they're ready to re-work concepts that aren't high enough quality?

This is the description of fireball
Target suffers damage modified by troopcount. Base damage is 16^ (+4^/fire shard). Each troopcount above/below 4 adds/removes 20% damage (3 men= -20%, 6 men= +40%).
I'm not sure what you mean that it lists only 6.

I'm still waiting for a bundle. Edit: Nvm, I still had distant worlds on Impulse. When I played it, it was kind of shite. I'll try again without the expansions. I like your review style, by the way. A concise overview of major features, and some criticism/suggestions at the end.

DsRaider, there is an ocean of difference between being done NOW, and being done when it's available. My take from that post was that the spell system was still in development, and not "done", finalized. On top of that, it isn't even certain that the system will be in the game at all.
Its not really BioWare. EA just renames all their old game studios to BioWare X to take advantage of the BioWare brand name. For example, Mythic Studios is now BioWare Mythic, despite not having anything to do with the original BioWare. This studio was called Victory Games until today, when EA renamed it: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/39073/Victory_Games_Latest_EA_Studio_To_Be_Renamed_BioWar

I once heard a little girl, six or seven years old, scream of pain for three hours until she passed out and consequently died. Before I believed, and after I did not. You can believe what you want, but I tell you with an absolute certainty there is no benign or good god present in our universe. (and no, there was no "sinner" of mankind involved in making her suffer. Just a matter of one a not matching up with a b )

Fantasy. Recently read two sword&sorcery style series, Codex Alera by Jim Butcher, and Keeper of the Swords by Nick Perumov. Particularly the first is worth reading if you feel like some guts&glory rather than epic themes. Keeper of the Swords is so filled to the brim with fantasy elements - if A Song of Fire and Ice is on one End (very few fantasy elements), and Tolkien's universe is somewhere in the middle, the Keeper of the Swords is as far as you can go in the other di

A treasure map in action: an item you click, and it reveals a "treasure quest" location on the world map. You can go to the location, and you'll enter a bear cave, or you'll have to nab the treasure from some pirates. Sounds like an easy thing to mod, if they don't include it.

Well, you're playing on one of the highest difficulties as well. So you have a setup that is completely unprepared for any resistance, and you're facing unusually many monsters that are extra hard because of the options. So really, what tips more than that do you want? If you can't beat it, adapt or make it easier.
