I don't remember this being possible in War of Magic. I think it's a feature that is new to FE.

Also, this comment may be redundant
4) Its shopvalue is not added to the cost of a champion for recruitment
If I'm not mistaken, champions get their recruitment cost from their combat rating. That is indirectly affected by all items unless they have non-sensical stats.

My thoughts on that: - Their factions are much higher quality. Each faction comes with many skins, hairstyles, clothing. My factions mostly come with one skin, no hairstyle, no clothing. They also have like 4 different armor sets in the game for various models (a leather breastpiece has 4+ different looks). I only add 1 new armor set, the rest is re-used from those original 4 sets. - They have memory restraints. For every 10MB memory they use on a faction, they could have used

I wanted to create items that could not be traded or sold and as it turns out it is much easier than I imagined. When assigning items to a hero the standard tag to use is . If you use instead, the item will display the following properties: 1) The item does not appear in the inventory of the character and can thus not be sold or traded 2) The item is equipped from the start. The item is unequipped if anything for that slot i

What would be the point of having a system like this? The way I see a game like this playing out: turn 200. You come across an enemy that you are "strong" to. You steamroll him in 20 turns. Alternative: Turn 200. You come across an enemy that you are "weak" to. You get steamrolled in 20 turns. I have to say the current system where you can focus on either magic, military or civ is preferable. You will be a fighting force no matter what, you just play it differently.

I think they have plans to release some form of modding ability down the line. I personally think it's an excellent game. For its price, it's a no-brainer.

They're not publicly traded, but they can still be sold by their owners. There's no guarantee they'll stay with the current owners or their business plan.
Valve is a wonderful example of how (imho) a games company should exist.
I disagree, the company has practically no transparency. As a consumer, no transparency is always bad.

I try not to buy stuff from steam. Their prices are always higher than the lowest and there are the obvious implications of having only one major content deliverer on the net. That said, everything I see as a customer from their Steam service and also Steamworks DRM works really well for me. That is, no hassle, no twists, no surprises. Just works. I play a lot of different types of games so every now and then I get a bit "burned" by DRM interfering with my gameplay. D3 being the lates
