The Legacy of Serrane faction ability has an issue. It is currently set to block the two normal horses, and unlock another version of a horse called Warhorse. However, the Warhorse will not appear in the city shop, nor will the other two mounts. Ironically, this leaves the "horse faction" without horses for heroes. Yes, towns is a DF rip that has been made commercial and mass-market (meaning it is dumbed down and easier to play). It is not much right now, but it is also early in development. Other games I'd put in the same general genre: Castle Story, Tropico (and its sequels/expansions) Edit: Actually I am not sure at all about Castle Story.

Basically building a civlization or outpost in some format. They are "unique" in the sense that a lot of focus is placed on your minions acting on their own according to their personalities. Carrying out tasks and so on - not like standard computer strategy games where each movement has to be ordered specifically for each unit. The only exception is Dungeons where how the enemy acts is more important.

There seriously cannot be too many games in this genre - I them all. Dwarf Fortress, Towns, Gnomoria. The oldies - Dungeon Keeper 1&2. Amd let's not forget Dungeons and its expansions. Upcoming A game of Dwarves. And now this as well. Simulation + Civ construction = dat feel.

When I rightclick an enemy army to attack, two things can happen. Scenario 1: I have just enough movement to attack the enemy. If they are adjacent to my army and they are in a plains tile, I need 1 movement to attack. When I right click on them, I attack them and when the battle ends, my unit remains in its original tile. Scenario 2: I have more movement spare. If the enemy is adjacent to me and they are in a plains tile, I have 2 movement in this scenario. When I right click

New in beta4 is that we get to see a bunch of medallions while loading. In addition to the "tips and tricks" that appear below the medallion, how about you tell us something about what we see in the medallion? 1) It gives insight into the lore 2) It gives us something to read while waiting for the load to finish 3) It is annoying me (in a ticklish way) to see awesome medallions but I don't have ANY idea what they are

It does seem a little extreme. I'm not a big fan of a lot of people and whole cities just disappearing over a turn. It looks ugly and leaves a lot of empty room to be filled.
