Some unlocks are crazy dependant on luck. I managed to finish one unlock in three jumps.
The AI will be able to use them as well as other spells it uses - randomly. Keep in mind we are greatly going to increase the strength a summoner brings to the table. As such, we are also going to boost the "AI priorities" so that the AI value them higher. We will put higher priorities on strong summons. No, no, and no. We can only tie events to totalpopulation right now (as in: chance to happen after you have x or more population). Frogboy hinted that there would be a way to link them to turns in the future (as in: chance to happen after turn x).

Open the airlocks, vent the whole crew! It's the only way to make sure. If they can't do it on their own you have to show them who's boss.
I love this game, a great little arcade/rogue thingamajig. It is much less difficult and messy than the way it appears in videos I watched.

Wide magic is either life or death. Grey magic is the total amount of spelltraits you have. If you have Fire2 and Earth3, you have Grey 5. In other words, high-level Grey summons are super-combos that unlock as a result of producing a "rainbow" hero (rainbow implying many different spelltraits).

It's not about world monsters, it's about bringing them closer in line with army units.
I have actually suggested similar mechanics like the OP in the past - ie, unit traits that allow them to grow in strength the more members they have. But it wasn't for this particular purpose, it was just for modding in neat traits. I rather like the idea though. There could also be anti-zerg champion traits to help champions deal with large enemy groups (at the expense of not being particularly good at killing monsters or other champs).
