I guess all those searches for closest viable target explains why the AI empires often end up looking like circles. All I need is to head for the middle of the ring to find their starting location, and by extension their best planets.

I'm the kind of guy that tends to turn off shadows because they look so bad. Like, when WoW introduced shadows back in the Arthas expansion I thought it was awesome until I realized my massive lightexplosive starfire spells don't do anything to it. Shadows worked better in skyrim though, because your effects are usually between your viewport and whatever's behind it. So two big questions: first, what does this mean for multicore GPUs? And I don't mean "every GP

Gamersgate = online retailer, not involved Gamergate = this whole thing For those wanting to stay up-to-date I'd suggest http://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction and https://8chan.co/gamergate/ (8chan sometimes NSFW as tumblr-users and others sometimes posts child porn to try to shut the site down).
Um....I AM in an Australian city .... the second biggest...and can WALK to the CBD [city center] in about 30 minutes... Not talking about the Outback...where you can be 500 miles from the nearest traffic light...
But if you're in a city I don't think the argument about population density makes much sense. I mean yeah, Sweden is relatively small but capita per square km would still be a thousand times high

FE:LH felt more gritty, SK feels more cartoonish. It's not really it's own style, I think - too much Warcraft 3. And I'll forever miss equipping a weapon in FE:LH and actually seeing the weapon.

Some of the best games I ever played were released: AoW3, DA:I, Endless legend. Some good surprises also, Hand of Fate, Dungeon of the Endless, WoW: Warlords of Draenor. It seems like early access is getting more early and less access . I'm not sure how I feel about that. Games like Planetary Annihilation, The Long Dark, Stonehearth, Mordheim: City of the Damned, Galciv3, Sunless Sea sell for full price what I would consider pre-alpha. I'm real

How to NOT get your request implemented: 1) Call the devs stupid, ignorant, lazy 2) Act terribly offended at a very minor inconvenience 3) Threaten to boycott the devs 4) Call your own post a "joke"... maybe All that's missing is a death threat.

The game is calculating 6 individual hits at 9 attack vs 1 def. Although even then 5 damage sounds extremely low. Check the traits on the target and make sure it's not immune to your kind of damage.
So my question is, what did you pay for "family share" ?
This is an incredibly loaded question. "What did YOU do to get raped?" A far more appropriate question would be "Why can't I resell my steam games when I am legally entitled to do so?"

I think it's more about figuring out the downsides of the digital retailers. There's nothing wrong with discussing it. Seems to me Stardock employees are taking a very negative stance in this topic. Instead of trying to shoot other people down, why don't you join in the discussion?
I want a Ferrari from Valve who's only offering Fords. Valve says, we only have Fords. But I should b

At first I thought this topic was silly, of course you only have one account so it makes sense that only one person can use it. But reading through the thread really convinced me it wasn't silly. In terms of convenience the digital retailers are miles ahead for most consumers. I can shop around, get the best deal, automatic updates if I want them and so on. But in another sense, digital retailers are miles behind on matters like this. Why can't I borrow my game to someon

If Nvidia had invented it, AMD wouldn't be using it. AMD are very clever to come up with the "anybody can use it" approach, as if Nvidia would ever consider it. I don't blame nvidia for not using it, it would be suicide in a market with two competitors for one to admit the other did something great.
If you're running crossfire and getting "mantle glitches", it's probably just crossfire. I've never even considered running dual AMD cards because they just don't have it down. Microstutter, tearing, piss poor performance, etc. They frequently screw their drivers up, resulting in more severe game specific problems for crossfire users. Nvidia does a much better job on this front,

Tbh I see mantle in a couple of games (BF4 ,DA:I for example) and it's always shit. There's always crossfire glitches, shadow flickering, crashes, insane loading times. I'm sure mantle could be used right, but it's just not. I really wanted it to be awesome but ;(

So since DX12 won't be backported to win7 or win8, is it going to take 6-8 years for this to have any meaningful impact?
