I personally like the Ents as a playable faction with Treebeard as their channeller. Alot of the variables depend on the goal, the mod will look very different if the goal is to recreate the challenges and battles of the books versus using the lore to create random maps that will use LotR factions. Did I miss something or has there been no mention of the One Ring?
You definetly missed something; the f

Haha, someone said they were Hortz[e digicons]:P[/e] I can't say the results are too suprising, they're pretty much what I expected.
The map editor allows you to save groups of tiles as a stamp. In theory, you could easily make 4 tiles that connect with each other to form your thing, save it as a stamp, and use the stamp in maps. Then just attach the same XML info for each of the 4 tiles, so no matter which one you step on, they all behave the same.
But do the stamps ever appear on the randomly generated maps? Right now the only stamp included with the ga

Hortz! I've missed you so over these last few days. Thank goodness you've returned, I don't know what we'd do without your incredibly useful posts. Oh that's right, we'd help make a decent game that isn't a clone of King's Bounty.
Wait, what? I thought they already changed that. A resource doesn't need to be touching your city in order for you to build on it, it just needs to be in your area of influence. The only "resources" that really requires snaking are beaches so you can build a harbor.
IIRC, they said they're making enough of the Limited Edition for it to be in supply well after release. So you should be good.
Woo! My map of Middle-earth got a plug! Too bad you can't play it yet, because it's still waiting for moderation[e digicons]:P[/e]
No. Eventually things will be migrated over to Python, but initially it won't be present.

Ugh, I just realized there's a bunch of black text in the OP that you can't really see on the new forums. Should be fixed soon.
I'd strongly suggest you try out the Third Age mod for Medieval 2. Not because it is a great mod (which it is), but because of how they handled the same sort of story-line issues we are discussing. I enjoy playing that Mod up to a point then get bored with it, but they have done a good job balancing the realms of Middle Earth. And the settings are before the Fellowship of the Ring so they are dealing with the world rather than trying to squeeze the story into their game-play experience

It's worth mentioning that stability and how it runs in the beta is not representative of how the release version will be. The goal is for the cloth-map version of the game to be playable on a netbook.

Or are you just saying "It's not possible now, but will be in the future?" Well of course it's not possible now. The point is, we can't comprehend the mechanism of teleportation because it hasn't been discovered yet. At this point in time, we only understand 3 dimensions, but there is definitely a possibility
