AFAIK new quests, monster, etc, will spawn as the game progresses. Again, AFAIK, the only supported language will be English. There *might* be a Russian version, but I'm not really sure about that.
Speaking personally, the modding thing bothers me more then the LAN thing. The LAN thing took over and while I'm not happy about it, it's no different then Starcraft 2 and I live with it there. But the modding thing? My intention for the game is to play both SP and MP with a friend who also bought the game, and do some modding (in particular Wizards towers ala AoW 2, so a sovereign could stay and home and cast).
Now I could be wrong, but IIRC the custom servers was neve

As a definition, you could write that this mod aims at increasing the RPG part of the game, and the number of gameplay interactions with the world, with the use of numerous various skills. Well the goal is for the cloth map to be playable on netbooks, so you're definetly good there (and I know that isn't what you were asking about). I have a similar laptop, but with a slightly better processor, and the beta has run fine (apart from the memory leaks and stuff[e digicons]:P[/e] ). I'm pretty confident you'll be able to play it. But if you're really concerned, wait until the demo comes out (sometime after release) and see how that runs.
No, there will be no (public) beta 5. They have an internal one, but we aren't getting it.

Yeah, it's mostly people who listen to something he says, and instantly think it's fact. My problem with Hawking is as an astrophysicist he relays information in a way that makes people believe him with questioning his rationality. This doesn't all
Most beta's don't have you beta test the "final" version...
You know what we mean. The Starcraft 2 beta was basically 5 months (or however long it was) of balance testing and polishing. The game itself was pretty much "done," it was just tweaking. The same can be said of most beta's nowadays. Of course they don't give you the final version, that would be silly. But the game mechanics are pretty much locked in, they have mo

Only he is powerful enough to transmit diseases to a computer.
DNF can't ever come out any more. Not because it was cancelled or anything, but because it would kill the meme. We wouldn't be able to say "oh, that game's gone the way of Duke Nukem Forever" anymore. A new game would have to be found to replace it. DNF has become synonomous with vaporware, you can't go messing with that![e digicons]:P[/e] More seriously though, no, I don't really care.
I get annoyed when some people like Hawking talk about space as though their word is gospel I get annoyed with those sort of people too. Almost all of science is strictly theory, but I think a lot of scientists tend to forget that. After doing years and years of research, I'm sure it's easy to mistake their hypothesis for the "truth."
Hey, let's not be hating on Hawking. He really is quite humble, and is willing to admit when he's wrong. AFAIK, he's never sa
We'll have to revisit the whole beta program thing after this since people were really expecting some sort of demo to comment on tweaking rather than participating in a real beta like the techies of the old days understood. But we've gotten so much good feedback. I think people are going to freak out at the final version. It doesn't just play differently. It's visually very different. And that was the whole point of the beta. [/quo

This has to be fake, no way it isn't.
That almost suggests there is no coop possibilities in random maps. I really want to be able to hook up with friends and work together against varying AI difficulty levels. Sorry but I'm just not a 'gotta kill my buddy' kind of gamer. We're all more interested in coop style.
In another interview (I think it was the Fragworld podcast, but don't quote me on that) Brad said there would be MP co-op.
Well money-wise buying it from Impulse is better for them (regardless of whether you buy just the digital copy or the boxed copy) because they get more of the money. When you buy it through retail or Amazon or whatever, that company gets a share of the $50 (or $70 for the Limited Edition). If you buy from Impulse, Stardock gets 100% of the profits. I don't know about getting more shelf-space, though.
Is there a link to this CNN talk/interview somewhere? I'd like to see it.
